The Necromance of Love and Death: Defeated Early in the Game, I Reincarnated as a Tragic Villainous Noble and Rebel Against the Scenario with My Beloved Using My Modern and Game Knowledge - Chapter 1.2
Chapter 1.2: Villainous Aristocrat Remembered
Then, I finally remembered everything, including my past life.
“Damn it!”
I could have prevented the deaths of my mother, father, and Vio if I had remembered a bit sooner!
“I understand that you are having a hard time, but please calm down. You will hurt yourself if you move too hard!”
“I know!”
Tears of frustration blurred my vision, and I felt like I was losing control.
“You haven’t saved them! How can you be so useless at the critical moment?
“Because of that, Father, Mother, and Vio are…”
That’s right. Where is Vio now?
“Listen, you may have already realized, but due to my lack of skill, your body is…”
“I understand! But what about Vio? Where is the girl?”
“She is here. Use my shoulder for support to stand.”
I hold on to the man’s shoulder to stand up. Suddenly, my body was exposed, showing parts of it that were missing.
My left eye, left hand, and right leg were gone? I know.
Ignoring what happened to my body, I followed the man, and he led me to the next room. In that room, there was a square bed in the
center, almost like an altar, surrounded by various instruments and medicines.
The term “intensive care unit” came to mind.
“The young lady carried you here to this clinic, and as soon as she handed you over to me, she passed away. Please forgive me. By that
time, there was nothing more I could do, and I can only lament my own incompetence.”
A girl with a tattered purple dress was lying in the middle of the bed. She had a big, open hole in her stomach that looked like it had been
gouged out, and her right hand and right leg were twisted in unnatural directions. It was certain that she was dead. It was hard to believe
that Vio had brought me here from the accident scene.
But that had to do with the gift I possess.
“Vio…”
I walked on one leg toward the bed where Vio was sleeping.
“She really looks like she’s just sleeping.”
Vio’s body was severely damaged, but her face was unscathed. It made her look as though she were resting peacefully.
But it’s time for her to wake up.
“Necromance…”
Yes. The gift bestowed upon me is necromancy. It is a gift that allows me to summon the souls of the dead.
Gifts are mysterious powers bestowed by the goddess when one turns ten. The power is immense, capable of miracles beyond human reach.
Just like mine.
“First, let’s heal that body. Unheal.”
Then, Vio’s body was enveloped in particles of deep purple light.
This is the first time I’m actually using Unheal. I hope it works.
As the purple light faded, Vio appeared completely unscathed. Her previously broken right hand and right leg were now straightened, and the severely damaged area of her abdomen was restored with
soft, white skin. Her small, visible navel was adorable. All the small cuts and wounds were healed as well.
“What, what is this!? Such tremendous healing power!”
My explanation to the astonished man behind me would have to wait.
Satisfied with the effect of Unheal, I touched Vio’s forehead and began to channel my magic into her body.
“Mm, mmh…”
Then, Vio immediately opened her eyes as if waking from a deep sleep. Her large purple eyes reflected me.
“Clovis!”
Vio wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me as she always did.
Her body was… cold.
The realization brought tears to my eyes.
“You survived! I’m so glad! Truly, I am!”
“Thank you, Vio. You brought me here, didn’t you? Because of that, I was saved.”
“But what happened to your left eye? There’s a scar. And your left hand…”
Vio looked at my face and my missing left hand with a pained expression, as if seeing something heartbreaking.
“It didn’t fully heal, but this is a minor issue compared to your death.”
“There’s nothing minor about it.”
“Vio, there’s something I need to tell you.”
I interrupted her, knowing I had to inform her about her death. The thought alone made me depressed.
“No use of covering it. I’ll be honest with you. Vio, you have died.”
“I knew it.”
Surprisingly, Vio didn’t break down and cry. Instead, she seemed to understand and then tilted her head curiously.
“But I can talk to you like this, can’t I?”
“That’s because of my gift. My gift only works on the dead. So, Vio, you are already dead. As proof, your body is cold, and there’s no heartbeat.”
“That’s true… Oh?”
Vio checked her body and seemed to realize something.
“What is it? Did you notice something?”
“Clovis!? My stomach!?”
“Your stomach?”
As I glanced down, Vio quickly covered her stomach with her arms.
“What’s wrong with your stomach? I checked it thoroughly. Could it be that a wound is still there…?”
“You saw it!?”
“Yes. It was a cute navel.”
“How shameless! How improper! Sneaking a peek at a lady’s soft skin!”
“I didn’t take a look…”
Vio was much more upset about this than about the fact that she had died. I didn’t understand. Is this what they call a maiden’s heart?
Even with memories from my previous life, I couldn’t comprehend it.
“Mother always told me that men are wolves, and even though you are kind, Clovis, I should be careful. I thought it would be impossible. I never thought you would do something so shameless!”
“Wait, Vio. A wolf? I’m a human! Besides, at that time, you had a huge hole in your stomach, and I was just checking if it had healed. There was no other intention.”
“Ugh! Men always make excuses! Mother was right! Anyway.”
While trying to calm Vio down, my thoughts drifted to something else.
The runaway carriage and the fall into the deep valley.
There was someone pulling the strings behind this.
I need to take care of that, but I must retrieve the bodies of my parents.
Another problem is what to do with Violette.
