“I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”
When I entered the reception room, two men kneeled down. They were the woodworker and the blacksmith who made my temporary prosthetic arm and leg.
“Raise your heads.”
As I sat down in the chair, I spoke to them.
“About the prosthetic arm and leg you made, the arm isn’t quite right, but the leg works well. I’m satisfied.”
The two men showed a slight expression of relief, but their faces soon became tense again. .
“So, I want to request the production of a new prosthetic arm and leg, grandpa, the old man.”
“Yes, Master. Here you go, both of you.”
The two craftsmen looked confused as they received the paper from the old man.
“Um…”
“What’s this…?”
“Oh, these are the new designs for the prosthetic arm and leg that I came up with. Keep it confidential, okay?”
Don’t underestimate them just because a ten-year-old wrote them. These are advanced artifacts utilizing all the knowledge from my previous life.
In this world, prosthetic arms and legs aren’t very practical. Especially those for nobility, which are often just decorative. I don’t want something like that.
So, I decided to create prosthetic arms and legs full of otherworldly knowledge. They are combat-oriented prosthetics.
“This is!?”
“I see…!”
The craftsmen, seeing the otherworldly designs, began to examine the blueprints intently.
“Do you think you can make them?”
When I asked, the two craftsmen flinched, as if they suddenly remembered they were in front of us.
“I want to try, but whether it’s technically possible…”
“It’s quite difficult.”
“I see. I don’t think it can be made exactly as it is. Changes and improvements will be necessary. Just try your best within the feasible range.”
“Understood.”
As I watched the two craftsmen bowing their heads, I felt excited, dreaming of the new prosthetic arm and leg.

“It’s not going well.”
In my room at the Barbastor Mansion, I was holding a simple device that stood out among the luxurious furnishings.
The device consisted of wooden boards, each with a three-centimeter gap between them, arranged in parallel. This was a training device for swordsmanship that Enzo had made.
The task was simple: pass a wooden stick through the gaps between the boards. That’s it.
However, in practice, it’s quite challenging. Moving the stick slowly, I could do it, but when swinging the stick like a sword, I always missed my target.
“Kuro, you’re overthinking it.”
Vio, who said this, was moving her legs as if she were dancing beside me.
However, the two wooden sticks she held in her hands were passing through the gaps in the boards one after another.
“Vio, you’re amazing…”
Despite moving much faster than me, the wooden branches Vio held never once hit the boards.
Seeing this made me aware of our difference in talent.
But I can’t give up here. I need to get stronger to protect Vio!
“Ah, I feel sleepy. Maybe because I’ve been moving a lot?”
It seems Vio’s magical power is running out. I need to replenish it.
“Vio”
“What is it? Ah!”
I stepped closer to Vio and placed my hand on her forehead, replenishing her with all my magic power.
“Are you not sleepy anymore?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. But you’re too close.”
“Oh, sorry.”
I scolded my wobbly legs and managed to take a step back from Vio.
Using magic always leaves me like this. I wish I could control it better, but I want to show Vio a lively version of myself. I can’t compromise.
I tried to leave the room as if nothing was wrong.
“What’s wrong?”
“Just going to the bathroom…”
I answered Vio and left the room, closing the door behind me. As soon as I did, I collapsed onto the hallway carpet.
“Master…”
The old man gently patted my back, showing his concern.
“I’m fine. But please, get me a magic recovery potion.”
“You’ve already had four today. Don’t push yourself too hard.”
“I know. But I want to spend more time with Vio. Please.”
“Understood. But this will be the last one.”
“Alright.”
I took the bottle with the thick green liquid from the old man and gulped it down in one go. It tasted awful. The taste was so bad that my throat and stomach convulsed, and I almost threw up.
But I managed to drink it all and stood up.
My stomach made sloshing sounds from the magic recovery potion.
“Master, you can’t keep living like this.”
“I know. But… I don’t want to take any more time away from Vio… Ugh!”
Despite my determination to think of Vio, I couldn’t hold it in and ended up vomiting.
“This is your limit. Miss Violette wouldn’t want you to push yourself like this.”
“I’m sorry, old man. Just a little more; please bear with my selfishness.”
“Master…”
