The Necromance of Love and Death: Defeated Early in the Game, I Reincarnated as a Tragic Villainous Noble and Rebel Against the Scenario with My Beloved Using My Modern and Game Knowledge - Chapter 46
We successfully obtained our primary objective—the Elixir.
With this, I no longer have to live in fear of the deadly disease.
And I no longer need to betray humanity to survive.
—This means I’ve avoided the bad ending!
Now the only issue left is how to bring Vio back to life, but I already have a plan for that.
It involves the Resurrection Necklace possessed by the game’s main heroine, Seraphine.
In the game’s storyline, Seraphine dies once while protecting the protagonist.
That’s when the Resurrection Necklace comes into play.
Thanks to that necklace, Seraphine, who should’ve been dead, is brought back to life.
I’m going to take advantage of that.
If I use the Resurrection Necklace on Vio, I can bring her back.
The problem is how to get the necklace from Seraphine…
She always wears it close to her skin—it won’t be easy to steal.
Well, I’ll figure that part out later.
We also picked up a bunch of other items in the dungeon besides the Elixir.
Items like the Onyx Ring and the White Fang Dagger, for example.
Originally in the game, that dungeon was a hidden support-type dungeon—monsters that gave lots of EXP appeared there, and the gear you could get was high quality.
I’ll make full use of the equipment we found.
But now I have too many items I want to equip—especially rings.
The Onyx Ring I just got is a ring, and the Mana Ring I found in the capital is also a ring. That already fills up my ring slots.
But there are still more rings I want to wear.
Isn’t there a way to get around that…?
The dungeon had other benefits too.
Namely—leveling up.
I had expected a decent level boost from all the Last Slimes that show up in that dungeon.
But when we actually entered, we didn’t just find Last Slimes—there was a massive outbreak of Metal Slimes.
In the game, encountering even one Metal Slime was considered lucky. But here, they showed up so often I lost count.
Even the boss was a Big Metal Slime.
Thanks to all that, both Vio and I probably gained a huge amount of levels. We’ve definitely passed level 100 by now.
Our stats went way up too, so supplying magic power to Vio and Shar is no longer an issue.
From now on, I can even use some of the extra mana to grow my Magic Eye.
And it wasn’t just me and Vio who leveled up.
Of course Carla did too, but surprisingly—even Charles leveled up too.
I didn’t think a regular cat could gain levels, but come to think of it, even monsters had levels in the game. So maybe it’s not so strange after all.

“Thank you, Carla. It’s all thanks to you that we made it back safely.”
『Think nothing of it. But outside, be sure to call me Baltzarek.』
“Got it, Baltzarek.”
“Thanks, Baltzarek.”
“Meow~”
After returning to the Balbastor estate, we parted ways with Baltzarek and headed back to the mansion.
There, Grandpa and the maids were already lined up in formation, waiting to welcome us home.
“Welcome back, everyone.”
“I’m home, Grandpa.”
“We’ve returned.”
“Meow~”
“You must be exhausted. I’ll have tea prepared immediately.”
Guided by Grandpa, we entered the sitting room, where tea and sweets were promptly brought out. They even had dried fish ready for Charles. Classic Grandpa—so thoughtful.
“Fuuuh…”
As soon as I sat on the sofa, my body practically melted into it. I hadn’t realized how tired I’d gotten.
“Today’s sweets are mille crepes. What kind of tea would you like?”
“I’ll have straight tea. What about you, Vio?”
“I’ll have straight tea as well.”
“Understood.”
The fragrant aroma of freshly brewed tea mixed with the sweet scent of the crepes—it was all so relaxing.
“Lord Clovis, how did things go today?”
“I finally found the dungeon—and cleared it.”
“Truly!? To think you not only found the dungeon but even conquered it… I’m in awe.”
“Thanks, Grandpa.”
“There was this huge, shiny slime in there. It was really hard to beat.”
“A slime that big!?”
Grandpa was shocked by Vio’s story.
Meanwhile, under the table, Charles munched contentedly on her fish, completely indifferent to the conversation.
Watching that peaceful scene, I finally felt it deep in my heart—I was home.
With the long-sought Elixir in hand, it was time to focus on governing my territory.
I’ll need to check on the Special District soon too.
After that, I’ll be enrolling at the academy in the royal capital.
That’s where I’ll meet the protagonist and the other key characters from the game… but how should I deal with them?
To be honest, I don’t really like the protagonist. In fact, I kind of hate him.
But the thing is, his future success is practically guaranteed.
“…As much as I hate it, I guess I’ll have to go with a strategy of cooperation…”
My muttered words faded quietly into the air, heard by no one.
