The day after our shopping trip to the hundred-yen store. I began a new job assigned by Lady Levia: transporting supplies to the magic stone mine.
In the morning, I teleported with my guard, Colin, using [Dimensional Teleport] to Lady Levia’s castle. There, I met Holly, who was already waiting for me. According to her, the materials for this trip had been gathered into one location. It left me only the task of collecting them. Lady Levia was busy with various matters and wasn’t present.
After finishing our discussion, Holly, for the first time, turned her gaze toward Colin instead of focusing solely on me.
“Colin, is the guarding going well?”
“So far, I haven’t encountered anyone harboring ill intentions toward Matsunaga-sama or Lady Isezaki! The other world is truly peaceful, without any monsters. It’s so calm that I’m worried my skills might dull!”
“I see. It really is a peaceful world, then.”
“Yes! It’s peaceful, and so much fun! Yesterday, Matsunaga-sama took me to all sorts of places! Ehehe!”
Colin’s carefree smile beamed as she spoke informally, while Holly averted her eyes apologetically.
“Matsunaga-sama, I’m sorry if Colin has been a bother—”
“No, no, she just accompanies me wherever I go. It’s no trouble at all.”
“I understand. But Colin, even in the calmest worlds, unexpected dangers can always lurk. A guard’s duty is to prevent such risks before they happen. Stay vigilant in your mission.”
“Yes, ma’am!”
“Keep your replies concise.”
“Yes!”
“Good. Now then, Matsunaga-sama. Please allow me to guide you.”
With the conversation over, Holly turned to me with a composed expression. She remained the same cool-headed maid as always. However, when Colin said it had been “fun”, I noticed a slight softening at the corners of her mouth.
Though Holly seemed stern, she likely cared deeply for her younger sister—especially since Colin was stationed in a world so different from her own.
As these thoughts crossed my mind, I followed Holly to a nearby plaza. It was the same place where materials for the fort at the magic stone mine had been stored before.
“This is the location, Matsunaga-sama. Please take care of it.”
Holly bowed gracefully. Behind her stood a towering pile of materials: wood, stone, and large wooden crates filled with who-knows-what.
These supplies had been painstakingly acquired by Lady Levia over the past few days, sparing no expense. And this was only the beginning—Lady Levia was actively securing more materials for the next shipment. Not only that, but she had also arranged for personnel to be dispatched through the adventurers’ guild.
It was clear from the hustle of people and materials that the development of the magic stone mine was progressing at a rapid pace. Not wanting to fall behind, I decided to start immediately.
I approached the mountain of supplies and began storing them into my [Storage Space] one after another.
Even though I had done this numerous times before, there was something oddly satisfying about making the materials disappear one by one. It was like clearing blocks in a puzzle game. It was strangely addictive. I felt like I could do this kind of work for hours on end.
In just a few minutes, the once-massive pile of supplies vanished without a trace. It left the open space as it was before.
Watching quietly, Holly let out a small breath of amazement, her eyes narrowing slightly.
“No matter how many times I witness it, your ability never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for your dedication to Lady Levia.”
“Haha, feel free to use it whenever you need. I’ll head out now. I just need to meet with Captain Beard again, right?”
“Captain…? Oh, you mean Commander Higuner. Yes, please report to him.”
At some point, he had been promoted from captain to commander. I wasn’t entirely sure how that happened, but it was probably a well-earned advancement.
“Got it. I’ll be off, then.”
“Please wait! Colin should accompany you—”
“Wait, Matsunaga-sama!”
“It’s fine. I’ll be quick. You two enjoy some sisterly time at the castle.”
Thinking it would be nice to let the sisters spend some time together, I teleported using [Dimensional Teleport] without waiting for Colin.
(For the record, Colin’s incredible reflexes almost caught me with a tackle. That’s something worth noting.)

“Hey! Move that lumber further inside!”
“This way’s blocked! Clear the path!”
“Two people can’t carry that! Somebody lend a hand!”
“The ground over there is muddy! Watch your step!”
It had been about a week since my last visit to the magic stone mine.
This place was as lively as ever with the bustling activity of workers. And even from near the forward base where I had teleported, the lively noise carried clearly to my ears.
I felt like wandering around a bit, but that wasn’t an option. After all, *that person* might show up if I dawdled.
With that thought in mind, I headed quickly toward the forward base and met with Captain Beard, now promoted to Commander Beard.
“Ah, Matsunaga-sama! We’ve been expecting you! I hear you’ve brought supplies from Grandain again!”
Commander Beard approached cheerfully, his hands almost rubbing together in enthusiasm.
“Yes, that’s correct. Now, could you please lead me to the warehouse right away?”
“Of course! …However, since you seemed to leave in a hurry last time, why not take your time this time? I can assign a guide to show you around if you’d like to explore the area.”
He maintained his cheerful smile as he leaned in with subtle pressure. He probably meant no harm, but his eagerness was a bit overwhelming.
“N-no, I appreciate the offer, but I’ll pass this time. If I linger too long, *she* might show up. And that would be a hassle…”
“*She*? Are you referring to Maristel-dono?”
I nodded silently. Exactly—if I took my time, Maristel would come.
I glanced nervously at the door behind me, half-expecting it to open at any moment, while mentally bracing for Maristel’s sudden appearance. But Commander Beard burst into laughter at my reaction.
“Wahahahaha! What are you saying, Matsunaga-sama? Surely, you gave her a stern talking-to, didn’t you? Ever since your last visit, Maristel-dono has been remarkably well-behaved! She hasn’t caused any trouble these past few days!”
Ah, I see. Commander Beard’s attitude toward me had been softening with each meeting. Apparently he thought I had *disciplined* Maristel. But still…
“Well, I did tell her to try not to bother others too much. But she’s not the type to listen so easily. Maybe she’s just caught a cold or something?”
“Wahaha! Maristel-dono with a cold? What a funny joke! …But, of course, we shouldn’t keep you too long. Let me take you to the warehouse right away! This way, please!”
Although he didn’t take my comment seriously, he at least understood I was in a hurry. For all his cheerfulness, Commander Beard must be quite competent to command such a volatile frontline area.
With Commander Beard leading the way, I headed to the warehouse, where I unloaded the supplies I had stored in my [Storage Space]. Commander Beard licked his lips at the sight of the massive pile of materials. With that, I had successfully completed the first supply delivery without incident.
—Incidentally, I later found out that Maristel *really had* caught a cold. If I’d known, I might have paid her a visit… or maybe not. Hard to say.

After that, I returned to my castle and reunited with Holly and her sister. Holly seemed softer than before. I made arrangements for the next transport, and then I returned to Japan.
I spent a few hours at home before lunchtime. While Colin and I were slurping the cup noodles she had requested, a notification from LANE popped up on my phone.
The sender was Mr. Jounai Juuzou. According to the message, Mr. Shouda wanted to meet me.
There was only one reason why I’d be summoned—it must be that the results of Mr. Shouda’s routine medical check-up was in.
After arranging the meeting with Mr. Juuzou, I decided to head to the hospital with Colin.
