- The Noble Lady Without Magic Aims to Become an Adventurer!
- Chapter 2 - From the Perspective of King Cellroa
“My apologies for causing such a disturbance.”
“Not at all, Your Majesty. Thank you for taking the time to come here. I understand that Prince Sherman has a frail constitution. His body likely cannot yet handle the immense magical power he possesses. For now, it would be best to wait until he has grown stronger before returning.”
“Yes, I’ll do that.”
As the High Priest accompanied His Majesty to the temple entrance, Cellroa spoke to him while walking. Queen Melode, holding Prince Sherman, was gently soothing him.
“…It seemed to me that someone else might have released their magical power, as if triggered by the event.”
“Your Majesty? If that were the case, our equipment would have detected it. Any high-level magical power would undoubtedly be captured by our instruments. Aside from Prince Sherman’s power, we registered no other readings. There should be no issue.”
“…I see.”
Although Cellroa sensed something unusual, his wife, Melode, appeared neither to notice nor to question it.
“Waaah…”
“Cellroa, Sherman is about to start crying again. Let’s return to the palace quickly.”
“Ah, yes, let’s do that. High Priest, thank you for your time.”
With our attendants in tow, we hurriedly returned to the carriage.
“I didn’t expect Sherman to cry so much in that situation.”
“He’s still an infant, so there’s nothing to be done about it.”
“Cellroa, earlier you seemed preoccupied with something. What was it?”
“Well, if Sherman’s outburst caused one of the other infants to use their magic, it might have affected their measurements, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Today’s session was solely for nobles. Even if their magical power was recorded as slightly lower than usual, nobles are evaluated again when applying to Balstorc Academy’s secondary division or at age fourteen, alongside commoners. Accurate measurements will be conducted during those times, so there shouldn’t be any issues.”
“That’s true.”
Satisfied with Queen Melode’s explanation, I returned to the palace with her.
