“It should be. Since the royal magicians destroyed them, they’ll handle any remaining issues. But security at the ball the day after tomorrow will probably need to be strengthened. Is this your first ball, Marloa? Just relax and enjoy yourself.”

Senior Yele smiled reassuringly, but his words only made me more anxious. Even if the seniors work hard on security, the number of people guarding His Highness inside the venue is limited.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be there with you.”

“Senior Arnold, thank you! I’ll be counting on you the day after tomorrow.”

“Of course.”

“Well then, I guess that’s it for today. I need to head to the royal palace now. Arnold, Marloa, you’ve both used magic today, so make sure to rest well tonight and tomorrow. See you later.”
With that, Senior Yele left Arnold’s laboratory.

Following Arnold’s instructions, Fars and I began replenishing the magic in the now-empty magic stones and placing them back in the storage box.

Magic stones can be reused by replenishing their magic, but they have a limited lifespan. With repeated use, they degrade and eventually crumble into sand.

Unlike living beings, magic stones don’t feel pain, so we didn’t need to worry about being gentle as we filled them with magic.

“Alright, Marloa, Fars, it’s about time you two head back to the dormitory. Make sure to rest tomorrow. I’ll see you the day after.”

The sun had long since set. A lot had happened today. The season’s chill had begun to creep into the evening air, and the breeze felt cold against my skin.

“It’s getting chilly, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, we need to be careful not to catch a cold. Here, wear my jacket until we get to the dorm.”

Wearing Fars’s jacket, we chatted about tomorrow’s training schedule on the way back to the dormitory.
