The Princess Who Divorced Her Husband - Chapter 4.3
Later, Zuo Shengxing was summoned to the study in Xiangyang Pavilion before bed.
“Father, why did you call me this late?”
Zuo Wende’s face was as cold as frost. “Are you planning to sleep in Yongmei Garden tonight or in Haoyan Pavilion?”
Zuo Shengxing’s heart pounded. Zuo Shengxing hadn’t expected his father to be aware of this.
“Father, who told you that? Was it Yan Mei?” As the saying goes, “a frontal assault is easy to parry, but a sneak attack is hard to guard against.” Yan Mei’s underhanded move had caught him completely off guard.
“Who told me is not important!” Zuo Wende said. “Just answer me truthfully—have you and Yan Mei consummated your marriage?”
Zuo Shengxing held his breath and nodded with difficulty.
“Bastard!” Zuo Wende, fuming and puffing his beard while glaring, shouted in disbelief, “Are you deliberately going against me? How many times have I told you! Treat Yan Mei well; cherish her like a
treasure and what have you done instead?”
“Dad, do you think I don’t want to treat Yan Mei well? But Yan Mei, she can’t accept Xiao Xue!”
“Xiao Xue, hum, I knew it was Xiao Xue’s doing.” As soon as Zuo Wende heard Xiao Xue’s name, he got a headache. “You really disappoint me too much; you can’t even handle two women. What future do you have?”
“Dad, I’m not you; I don’t have your abilities!” Zuo Shengxing said painfully, “You only think about your career; have you ever thought about the three of us? Given how things have turned out, do you think I would feel better?
“What are you talking about?” Zuo Wende angrily pointed at his son’s nose and scolded, “Is there anyone as foolish as you in this world? Not enjoying the blessings of the Qi people; you’re really going to drive me crazy!”
Zuo Wende pressed his left hand against his chest and said firmly, “Please address the situation with these two women quickly.”
If you don’t find a way to resolve this, I’ll have no choice but to kick Xiao Xue out!”
“Dad, you can’t do this,” Zuo Shengxing said firmly. “If you do this, then I will leave too.”
“You…” Zuo Wende collapsed into the chair, speechless with anger.
“In short, as long as I have some relationship with Yan Mei, that’s enough, right?” Zuo Shengxing said furiously.
“Where are you going?” Zuo Wende asked sternly.
“To the Yongmei Garden to do what I should do.”
******
Zuo Shengxing burst into the bedroom like a whirlwind, startling both Yan Mei and Haitang.
“You…” Yan Mei jumped onto the bed in a fluster, wrapping herself tightly in the blanket. Haitang was helping her change and prepare for bed, and she was now only wearing a bellyband and thin, long pants.
“Haitang, this is none of your business. Go downstairs and rest!”
Haitang looked at Yanmei, who nodded at her, and only then did she step out of the room.
“Well, well, what a rare guest, Young Master Zuo.” Despite being in an unfavorable situation, Yan Mei couldn’t help but tease Zuo Shengxing, which allowed her to slightly vent her dissatisfaction with him.
As soon as Yan Mei finished speaking, Zuo Shengxing, with an expressionless face, suddenly lunged at her and started pulling at the blanket wrapped around her.
“What do you want to do?” Despite Yan Mei’s desperate resistance, the blanket was easily pulled away.
“Isn’t this what you want? Didn’t you say so in front of my father?” Zuo Shengxing easily restrained Yan Mei’s waving hands and pressed her soft body under him.
“I didn’t…” Zuo Shengxing’s rough tongue completely invaded her mouth, and his kiss was rough and wild, as if full of hatred. Yan Mei could not feel the sweetness of their first kiss at all; only waves of
humiliation surrounded her.
“Ugh…” It wasn’t until tears welled up in the corners of her eyes that Zuo Shengxing let her go.
“Don’t you want to consummate our marriage?” When Zuo Shengxing’s big hands reached into her bellyband and grasped her br3asts, Yan Mei was not only stunned, but her body also became stiff.
“Is it comfortable?” Zuo Chengxing gently caressed.
“Don’t──” The tingling sensation rising from deep within her body made her involuntarily let out a gasp she had never heard before. She wanted to push him away, but her body was too soft and weak to
muster any strength.
“Don’t want it?” Zuo Chengxing smiled coldly. Taking advantage of Yan Mei’s confusion, his right hand slipped into her thin pants, slowly, gently, and rhythmically caressing that untouched area.
“Ah… stop… don’t…” Yan Mei wanted to escape but couldn’t break free from Zuo Shengxing’s strong arms.
“Don’t say one thing and mean another!” Zuo Shengxing said coldly while forcefully pushing his middle finger into her tight little v**g*na.
“Ah–” Yan Mei cried out in pain due to the sudden pain. Her cry also awakened Zuo Shengxing’s rationality that was hidden due to anger. Yan Mei felt his fingers quickly withdraw from her body.
As soon as Zuo Shengxing stopped, Yan Mei immediately snatched back the quilt and wrapped it tightly around her chest.
“Yan Mei…” Seeing Yan Mei like a frightened bird, Zuo Shengxing’s anger disappeared and was replaced by regret and pity.
“Don’t you dare touch me!” She caught sight of Zuo Shengxing’s hand extending towards her. Yan Mei was so scared that she desperately tried to hide under the bed.
“Fine, I won’t.” Zuo Shengxing pulled back his hand.
“Don’t, please don’t… hurt me!” Yan Mei shook her head desperately, tears streaming down her face.
“I… I’m sorry, I’m not…” Zuo Shengxing felt a strong impulse to embrace the trembling body, to kiss away the tears on her face with the gentlest kiss, but he didn’t do it. After his actions towards her, he
felt ashamed and unworthy.
In a state of confusion, Yan Mei couldn’t feel Zuo Chengxing’s apology and regret at all. She covered her face, tears streaming down as she sobbed quietly, “I can’t take it anymore; I won’t say anything
again! I don’t want it! I don’t want anything!”
“Yan Mei?” Zuo Shengxing felt as if he had been punched in the chest. Oh my god, what on earth did he do?
He looked at Yan Mei, curled up like a frightened little rabbit, with a heart full of pain. Her tear-streaked face and her body that trembled continuously from the spasms made him feel that his earlier
actions were no different from those of a beast—no, even worse than a beast.
“I… don’t want you anymore… just go away, I don’t want to see you again…” Yan Mei buried her face in her arms and spoke in a muffled voice.
Zuo Shengxing felt heartbroken again by Yan Mei’s words. He really wanted to tell Yan Mei how sorry he was, but he had already ruined that opportunity himself.
“I know that whatever I say now is useless, but I still want to say to you—I’m sorry.”
Zuo Shengxing quietly ended his words and then quietly left.
Yan Mei hugged herself tighter with tears already streaming down her face.
