The Princess Who Divorced Her Husband - Chapter 6.2
“Yan Mei…” As soon as she left, Zuo Shengxing reached out to hug her.
“Wait.” Yan Mei stepped back quickly. “Zuo Shengxing, what are you trying to do to me?”
Zuo Shengxing looked confused. “What do you mean? I don’t understand…”
“Don’t pretend!” Yan Mei snapped. “What did last night mean to you?”
“You don’t understand?” Zuo Shengxing almost hit a wall out of frustration. He grabbed her so she couldn’t run.
“You think I did that because I lost control?” He looked into her eyes and said with emotion, “I love you, Yan Mei. Can’t you hear me? Can’t you feel my heart?”
He took her hand and placed it on his chest.
“No!” Yan Mei pulled her hand back. “You think just saying ‘I love you’ is enough?”
Tears filled her eyes. “You think I’ll believe you fell in love with me in one night? For three months, you gave me nothing but humiliation, coldness, and loneliness… Is that how you show love?”
“No, it’s not like that!” Her words crushed Zuo Shengxing. He was full of regret. “Yan Mei, listen to me…”
“No, I won’t!”
“You have to!” Zuo Shengxing held her shoulders, forcing her to look at him.
“I love you. That’s the truth. I’m not lying.”
“I don’t believe you…” Yan Mei shook her head and cried.
“You must believe me!” he said urgently. “I know I was awful. I hurt you. But please believe me… At first, I really wanted to love you. But some things happened that pulled us apart. Then I thought maybe you wouldn’t forgive me. And I didn’t want Xiao Xue to suffer the same pain. So…”
“So you gave up on me, right?” Yan Mei said through tears.
“Yes.” Zuo Shengxing admitted, “So I ignored you, treated you like air. I thought I could do that. But…”
He looked at her with deep affection. “I was wrong. I can’t give you up. I’ve already fallen in love with you. I don’t know when it started. But now, your image is stuck in my mind. I can’t forget you.”
Yan Mei listened quietly, with her tears still falling.
Zuo Shengxing wiped her tears. His voice was hoarse. “Believe me—when you were hurting, I was hurting too. I always thought I was someone loyal. I believed I loved Xiao Xue. So how could I fall in love with you? I couldn’t forgive myself. So I punished myself by not letting myself love you.”
“I didn’t know.” Yan Mei didn’t know if she loved or hated him. She threw herself into his arms and hit him. “You jerk! Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Do you know how many tears I cried because of you? You’re terrible!”
At first, she hit him hard. But after a few punches, her hits got lighter and lighter. In the end, she just hugged him.
Zuo Shengxing’s eyes grew hot. He held her tight.
“I’m sorry…” he kept saying. “Can you forgive a coward like me, Yan Mei?”
Yan Mei looked up at him with tearful eyes. “Do you really love me?”
“Yes.” He took her hand and kissed it. “I love you. You are the one I love most in the world!”
“What about Xiao Xue? Don’t you love her too?”
Zuo Shengxing froze. His whole body went stiff.
Yan Mei shook her head and smiled bitterly. “We’re back to the same question again, aren’t we?”
“Yan Mei…”
“I told you—I won’t share your love with anyone!” Her voice was clear and firm.
Zuo Shengxing looked pained. “I can’t abandon Xiao Xue.” His voice was stiff.
“Is that so?” Yan Mei smiled to hide her pain. “Then you have to give up on me.” She said it calmly, but her heart was bleeding.
“No!” Zuo Shengxing shouted. He pulled her into his arms. “If I have to give you up, I’d rather die!” His voice was full of determination.
Just one sentence, and Yan Mei’s eyes turned red again. In that moment, she felt a happiness she had never felt before.
“You’re so selfish!” she whispered. “You want all of my heart, but you only give me half of yours!”
He gently lifted her chin. “What if I said… it’s more than half?”
Yan Mei stared at him, stunned.
Holding her face, Zuo Shengxing kissed her and said, “Yan Mei, my love… I know I’m selfish and possessive. But I have no choice. I also want to love you with all my heart, to be yours alone. But I can’t. Xiao Xue gave too much for me. If I leave her, wouldn’t I be heartless?”
Yan Mei looked down in silence.
“Yan Mei…”
“I understand.” Her beautiful face was calm. Zuo Shengxing was right. If he were truly heartless, she wouldn’t have loved him at all.
“Do you remember the question I asked before?” Yan Mei spoke softly:
“Plum blossoms may not be as white as snow, but snow doesn’t have the plum’s fragrance.”
“I certainly remember,” Zuo Shengxing said affectionately to her. “Snow and plum fragrance—each has its charm. In the past, what I loved was the color of snow, but now…” He took a step forward and gently wrapped his arms around her shoulders, gazing at her with infatuation. “Now, no matter where I am, all I can smell is the fragrance of plums!”
Yan Mei’s lips bloomed into a radiant smile. She pulled him down by the neck and kissed him.
Zuo Shengxing responded immediately. He kissed her deeply, pouring all of his love into those tender, dewy lips.
The next moment, the two of them were lying naked on the bed, gazing at each other.
Just thinking about how Zuo Shengxing was looking at her bare body made Yan Mei flush all over and breathe erratically, so she kept her head lowered.
“Yan Mei, you’re so beautiful,” Zuo Shengxing said, finally able to look at her clearly. He stopped her from covering her chest and replaced her hands with his own.
“Shengxing…” The pleasure from his touch on her chest made her mind grow fuzzy.
Zuo Shengxing licked her ear lightly, causing her to cry out in surprise.
“Did I hurt you last night?” he whispered as he bit her earlobe.
Yan Mei shot him a coy look. “If I say yes, will you stop?”
Yan Mei had no idea how seductive her expression was. If Zuo Shengxing could really stop at that moment, he wouldn’t be a man.
“I won’t stop,” Zuo Shengxing said possessively. “You’d better be prepared—tonight, you’re mine.”
He sealed her lips with his, his tongue exploring her mouth with practiced intensity.
This passionate kiss made Yan Mei completely intoxicated, her thoughts swirling in confusion and desire.
Listening to her lover’s soft gasps, Zuo Shengxing caressed Yan Mei’s entire body as if she were a treasure. Her perky br3asts, smooth abdomen, silky thighs…
“Shengxing… Shengxing…” Overwhelmed by wave after wave of pleasure, Yan Mei could only call out her husband’s name in a daze.
Finally, Zuo Shengxing stopped the sweet torment. Just as Yan Mei relaxed her body and caught her breath, he entered her with burning urgency.
“Ah…” She couldn’t help but moan, not even sure if it was from pain or sweetness.
“Yan Mei, does it hurt?” Zuo Shengxing looked at her pained expression with deep concern.
Still, even if she was in pain, he didn’t want to leave her. In that moment, he hated his own primal instincts—but really, he couldn’t entirely blame himself. It was Yan Mei who made him lose all control.
Seeing the guilty expression on his face, Yan Mei smiled.
“Silly.” She touched his face. “As long as it’s you, I don’t care what you do to me,” she said with a smile.
“Yan Mei…” Zuo Shengxing gratefully kissed her forehead.
“Just give yourself to me completely. I’ll be gentle.” He began to move slowly.
Yan Mei clung tightly to him. With each rhythmic thrust, her body grew hotter and hotter, nearly consumed by the overwhelming pleasure within.
“Yan Mei, I love you… love you… love you…” After saying “I love you” dozens of times, Zuo Shengxing held her tight as they reached the peak together.
