The Princess Who Was Married Off To The Prince of Slaughter In Place of Her Sister. While She Was Growing Fairies and Potatoes in The Garden of The Detached Palace, His Highness's Infatuation Began - Episode 6
The day of the wedding.
I was woken up early in the morning, had my hair roughly combed, and had my face covered in such gaudy makeup that it was unrecognizable.
I was taken to the bride’s waiting room at the venue and made to change into a wedding dress.
The wedding dress had a flashy design that exceeded my imagination, with gold fabric and beads sewn into it, making my eyes dazzle just by looking at it.
“I want to cast a spell on that maid so that fruit seeds, like those of strawberries, always get stuck in her throat!”
Fel was constantly sulking and angry with Janet.
When I entered the venue, a murmur arose from the guests.
“It was true that the spendthrift older sister, not the demure younger princess, was the one who came to marry.”
“Even though this country doesn’t need a spendthrift crown princess.”
“I got rid of a troublesome burden quite nicely.”
“What a dress with such poor design sense.”
“Not only is the heart ugly, but the face as well…”
I could hear the sound of sighs coming from all around the venue.
Only Fel said, “Everyone doesn’t know anything about Ali, yet they say whatever they want!” He was on my side.
His presence is reassuring.
If I had been alone, I surely would have given up.
Thank you, Fel. Just knowing that you understand is enough for me.
I smile brightly at Fel, who is flying diagonally above me.
Stand next to the crown prince who is waiting in front of the altar.
The Crown Prince was dressed in a pitch-black formal suit. The black attire suited his tall stature perfectly.
The crown prince doesn’t even glance in this direction.
“Will you promise to continue loving the bride in sickness and in health…?”
“I swear.”
“Will you vow to continue loving the groom in sickness and in health…?”
“I swear.”
I recited a perfunctory vow.
“Very well, then a vow kiss.”
Sigh… finally, the time has come.
I wonder if they will really kiss…
The crown prince lifted my veil and glared at me with his crimson eyes.
Instead of the charming second princess I thought would come as my bride, the first princess with a bad reputation came instead, and on top of that, even after saving her from a monster, she called me a “monster”… It’s no wonder she glared at me.
The crown prince leaned in closer and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t really do it. It’s just a pretense. You wouldn’t want to be touched by a monster, would you? I don’t want to touch you either.” He pretended to kiss and then pulled away.
“I hereby recognize you two as a married couple.”
The priest declared so, and scattered applause erupted from the audience.
I look up at the Crown Prince standing next to me.
He was looking at the venue with a cold expression.
It seems that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince is quite concerned about being called a “monster.”
Repairing the relationship will be difficult.
What should I do? I want to get permission to use the garden, but how do I go about getting it?
