The Savior Says She's Having a Breakdown - Chapter 10
Chapter 10: Nuwa Clan (Part 2)
Having finished making lunch, Mrs. Feng, who was waiting for Feng Qingyu to return from taking out the garbage downstairs, waited and waited, but the person didn’t come back. A sudden ominous feeling struck her, and she quickly called Mr. Feng over, saying, “Erya has been downstairs for half an hour, hasn’t she? Why isn’t she back yet? Why don’t you go down and check? Could it be…”
Mr. Feng interrupted her, “Don’t jump to conclusions. Maybe she just went to the supermarket next door to buy something? I’ll go down and look for her.”
Mrs. Feng sat on the sofa, her right eyelid threatening to twitch. Her heart grew more uneasy, and the comfortable sofa felt like it was covered with a bed of needles.
Maggie and Yuna came out of the guest room and saw Mrs. Feng anxiously pacing around the living room.
Due to the language barrier, Maggie instinctively looked for Feng Qingyu but didn’t see her.
Just then, the security door opened, and Mr. Feng walked in with a very grim expression. “Things are a bit difficult.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I went downstairs and didn’t find Erya, but I found her cell phone next to the garbage bin.”
“What?!” Mrs. Feng nearly fainted upon hearing this. Yuna quickly reached out to support her, and she collapsed onto the sofa, saying despairingly, “It’s them! It must be them who found her!”
“Don’t panic. Even if it is them, our Erya is clever. She’ll be fine.”
Mrs. Feng leaned forward, covering her face with her hands, and sighed, “Even Aran barely escaped by risking her life in the end. Erya doesn’t even have divine power now. How can she fight them? Oh, my poor daughter. What sin did she commit to have one person after another coveting the power in her, yet completely disregarding her life, her death, and her will!”
With that, Mrs. Feng burst into tears. Mr. Feng had to hold her in his arms to comfort her, but he was equally worried.
Maggie stood aside, guessing the general situation from their conversation. Remembering the result of her discussion with Hena last night, she said to Yuna, “Go check where her signal is located now.”
Yuna nodded, returned to the guest room, and came out a moment later, shaking her head. “That place is very strange, it seems to be in another space.”
Mrs. Feng heard their voices and looked at them as if they were a life raft. She quickly turned around and anxiously asked, “Right, you must have a way! You must be able to find where Qingyu is, right? You will bring her back, won’t you?”
Yuna looked at Maggie, who pursed her lips and pondered with her eyes lowered. After a long moment, Maggie nodded.
Half the weight fell away from Mrs. Feng’s heart, but she was still worried that they might use Feng Qingyu to bargain with the Nüwa clan for their own benefit. She thought for a moment and said, “Let me go with you. The more people, the better.”
Maggie shook her head to refuse.
Mrs. Feng didn’t give up, adding, “Don’t you need the Nüwa clan’s help? I can help you negotiate the cooperation.”
Maggie still shook her head in refusal, her expression starting to show impatience.
Seeing this, Mrs. Feng, afraid she would change her mind, had to compromise, but still couldn’t help but mutter, “Then you must promise that you will bring Qingyu back safely and will not use her to negotiate with the Nüwa clan. After all, she was discovered prematurely because your kidnapping caused the talisman to fail. You already owe her enough!”
Yuna looked at the tearful Mrs. Feng and desperately wanted to explain that she would definitely bring Feng Qingyu back, but the language barrier prevented it. She could only nod repeatedly to show her sincerity.
“No need to listen to her nonsense. Inform Hena to search for the exact coordinates and prepare to depart.” Seeing Mrs. Feng crying made Maggie feel inexplicably uneasy. Not knowing why she felt this way, she simply turned and returned to the guest room.
“Yes, Adult.” Yuna nodded to Mrs. Feng again before following Maggie.
“Why?” Yuna recounted what she had seen and heard at the Feng family home to Hena.
Hena, who was still searching for the coordinates on the communicator, was startled and looked up to ask, “Why what?”
“Why are they so concerned about Feng Qingyu? She’s not even their biological child. These Earthlings are so strange…” Yuna was puzzled, but a thought suddenly struck her. “Could they also want to exploit the power in Feng Qingyu?”
Looking at Yuna, who was thinking for a change, Hena couldn’t help but chuckle, “Perhaps, this is why these Earthlings, despite their backward technology, can still flourish on this planet.”
“What?” This time, it was Yuna who was stunned.
“Enough,” Maggie interrupted their small talk after receiving the coordinates Hena transmitted. “Yuna, gather the legion and prepare to depart.”
“Yes, Commander.” Yuna nodded, exited the control room, and began contacting the legion members hidden on Earth.
“Your Highness, please remember to prioritize negotiation. If you truly cannot reach an agreement, then just take Feng Qingyu and leave. Do not get entangled,” Hena sternly warned through the communicator. “Remember, you must not resort to force easily! If the power in Feng Qingyu truly cannot be stimulated, then we can only place our hopes on the other members of the Nüwa clan. Your Highness must leave a way out for yourself and for Planet Alpha!”
Maggie nodded, indicating she understood.
Yuna walked in and stood behind Maggie, reporting, “Commander, the legion is fully assembled.”
“I wish Your Highness a smooth journey.” Hena wisely ended the communication.
After the communication was cut off, Fiona looked disapproving. “Since that Earthling is useless to us, why should Your Highness go to all this trouble to save her? Yuna even promised that Earthling not to use her for negotiation?! You are giving up such a good opportunity? Are you saying that you’ve been assimilated by those Earthlings? Can you still distinguish between what’s primary and what’s secondary, Hena!”
Hena did not answer her question, only saying lightly, “Fiona, do you know why I came later than you, but I am the Captain of the Royal Guard, and you are only the Captain of the Security Guard?”
“Prepare to depart.” Maggie transmitted the data from Hena to Yuna’s computer.
“Yes.” Yuna nodded, turned to the person at the control panel, and instructed, “Prepare to execute a space jump. Target location: Gamma Space, first quadrant, coordinates (50, 150).”
The person at the control panel replied, “Ready, awaiting instruction.”
“Depart.”
Nüwa Tribe, inside the Priestess Tower—
“My child, I think there might be some misunderstandings in your knowledge of the tribe.” The Priestess in red (Feng Han) was not angered when Feng Qingyu pushed her away. She simply sat down and spoke, “The one who brought you back is the soon-to-be-appointed new Priestess, Feng Yun and I am the current Priestess of the Nüwa clan, and also Feng Lan’s own younger sister, Feng Han.”
…Feng Yun? Feng Han? Hearing these two names, Feng Qingyu suddenly felt quite satisfied with her own name. However, the Priestess of the Nüwa clan was her birth mother’s own sister? This was something even Mrs. Feng didn’t know.
“I imagine your mother must have told you that we, the Nüwa clan, though favored by the Goddess Nüwa to inherit her divine power, must exchange the rest of our lifespan for it.”
Favored? Feng Qingyu really wanted to crack open the head of this suddenly appearing “aunt” to see what was inside! Being forced to exchange one’s lifespan for divine power with no practical use—could that even be called favoritism?
“Because your mother reached the age but did not awaken her divine power, the tribe chose to abandon her at the time. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, allowing her to grow up in the outside world after the age of ten. Her knowledge of the tribe is incomplete,” Feng Han, unaware of Feng Qingyu’s inner thoughts, continued her introduction. “She always believed that all women in the tribe would not live past thirty years old. That is not entirely true.”
