The Savior Says She's Having a Breakdown - Chapter 15
Chapter 15: Reversal of Status (Part 1)
Feng Qingyu had a very comfortable sleep until a knock on the door slowly woke her from her dream.
The butler stood at the doorway, respectfully bowing his head. “It is time for dinner. Please proceed to the dining hall, Miss.”
Rubbing her empty stomach, Feng Qingyu nodded. “Understood. Give me a moment to change.”
Hearing this, the butler wisely did not enter and helped her close the door.
Grabbing a random outfit from the closet and changing, Feng Qingyu walked to the door and opened it. The butler was standing by the side of the doorway and immediately led the way when she emerged.
The dining hall was in a separate two-story building, connected to the main residential building by a semi-enclosed corridor. The first floor was a large hall filled with many tables and chairs, somewhat resembling a college cafeteria on Earth.
When Feng Qingyu followed the butler up to the second floor, she found Maggie already seated at a long European-style dining table with several “Na”s. The moment she entered, she instantly became the center of attention.
The butler pulled out a chair for Feng Qingyu and then retreated to the first floor. A maid stepped forward and silently served Feng Qingyu’s meal.
Just as the awkwardness began to spread, Hena spoke, “Although everyone has met before, Miss Feng Qingyu’s status is different in this reunion. Let me reintroduce her to everyone. Miss Feng Qingyu from Earth is the most distinguished guest of our Star Kingdom of Alpha!”
Yuna and Mina enthusiastically welcomed Feng Qingyu, but Fiona merely glanced at her, coldly snorted, picked up her knife and fork, and started eating.
“Ahem.” Maggie saw Feng Qingyu looking at her with a half-smile, immediately felt she had lost face, and coughed in Fiona’s direction.
Fiona realized that she had started eating without Maggie’s permission and quickly explained, “My apologies, Your Highness. I was out of line.”
Feng Qingyu hadn’t actually noticed that detail. She was just looking at Maggie, who had her ponytail down today, and couldn’t control her aesthetics-loving eyes from glancing a couple of extra times. However, she had no intention of clarifying the misunderstanding. After all, making Maggie feel unhappy made her very happy!
“Never mind.” Maggie waved her hand, signaling that everyone could begin eating.
Dinner was steak and corn chowder. Hena specifically explained that Feng Qingyu’s meal had been specially prepared by the kitchen according to Earth’s flavors, based on Yuna’s description. Feng Qingyu appreciated the gesture but reserved judgment on the palatability of the food.
As the saying goes, “One does not strike a smiling face.” The excellent treatment she received upon her return meant that all the revenge plans she had stored up were washed away. However, Feng Qingyu secretly noted Fiona’s look before dinner.
“Meeting.” Maggie commanded. The group had just left the dining hall and immediately turned into the conference room. Feng Qingyu was no exception; in fact, she became the main topic of this meeting.
“We have now confirmed Miss Feng Qingyu’s identity, and both sides have reached an intention to cooperate,” Hena, as the strategist of the entire team, naturally took on the task of introducing the background and the meeting’s subject. “However, in this cooperation, we face a major problem—Miss Feng Qingyu’s divine power has yet to awaken.”
“So, you’ve called us here to discuss how to awaken it?” Mina rested her arm on the table, supporting her chin, and asked with a smile.
“Precisely.” Hena nodded.
Yuna was about to say something but was preempted by Fiona. “Why should we be the ones to figure out a way?”
“Fiona.” Maggie spoke coldly, her anger clearly evident.
“Does Your Highness truly believe that this person can save the Star Kingdom?” Fiona not only didn’t stop but suddenly stood up from her chair, fiercely questioning, “She is a liar! An inferior being from a lower-class planet!”
“Miss, I believe your brain must contain something other than a cerebrum.” Feng Qingyu leaned back in her chair and spoke lightly. She had recently learned how to conceal her inner rage. “First, although I am not from the same planet as you, we are both human beings—even though Earth’s technology is not advanced, we are the same species, no less. If I am an inferior being, you cannot escape that classification either. Second, in coming here, I am the most distinguished guest of the Star Kingdom of Alpha. Even your Highness must show me respect. Because—I am the only person who can save you. If you really don’t know how to address me, you can call me ‘Savior.'”
Having finished her display of force, Feng Qingyu felt not only that her inner rage had been fully vented but also a profound sense of physical and mental refreshment. She finally understood why powerful figures loved to show off subtly—the feeling was utterly exhilarating, especially when the other party couldn’t refute her after she said those words.
Moreover, even Maggie was annoyed. She slammed the table and angrily said, “Fiona, three strikes and you’re out!”
“Your Highness!”
“My decision to cooperate with Feng Qingyu is final. I also promised to help her awaken her divine power. Are you so agitated because you want to contradict my decision?”
“This subordinate does not mean that. This subordinate simply does not wish for Your Highness to be both deceived by this liar and subjected to her humiliation!”
“Pfft—” Feng Qingyu couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Since you mentioned ‘humiliation,’ why don’t we go over the old scores? I love going through the ledger, especially concerning ‘humiliation.'”
Hena was most afraid of her bringing up old scores and becoming emotional at this moment. Hearing this, she quickly interjected, “Fiona, do you think the Commander is less intelligent than you?”
“She probably truly thinks so.” Feng Qingyu, eager for drama, added fuel to the fire.
Maggie looked over at her upon hearing this, only to receive a provocative smile.
“How about this? Since this lady sees me and believes herself to be smarter than Maggie, to prevent your Highness from eventually degenerating into an imbecile, we should no longer meet.” Feng Qingyu said. “What do you think of this, Miss?”
Fiona was provoked and was about to say something, but Maggie raised her hand to stop her.
“Fiona has violated her duties as Captain of the Security Guard. Effective immediately, her position as Captain is revoked, and she is confined for six months.”
“Your Highness! Has she truly bewitched you?”
“Hmm—although our legends say that Nüwa sent fox spirits to bewitch the emperors of the human world, I don’t seem to have the ability to find someone to bewitch your Highness.”
“Hena, take her away.” Maggie waved her hand, looking utterly exhausted. She was actively learning a new skill regarding Feng Qingyu’s words—”selective deafness.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“No! I’m not leaving! Hena, let go of me! I need to bring Your Highness to her senses!” Fiona struggled constantly, but Hena’s restriction on her was completely unaffected.
Remembering a variety show she had watched and recalling her own attempt to bring Maggie to her “senses,” Feng Qingyu couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “It’s been ten years; there’s no waking up now.”
However, the others present did not understand her joke. Seeing that Hena had taken Fiona out, Maggie said, “Yuna, you will temporarily assume the role of Captain of the Royal Guard for the next six months.”
“What about the legion?”
“For the next ten years, as long as the Star Kingdom’s crisis is not resolved, the Rose Legion will not participate in any more wars,” Maggie said. “I will find time to explain this to Her Majesty.”
“Yes, Comm… Your Highness.” Yuna quickly changed her address, knowing better.
