The Savior Says She's Having a Breakdown - Chapter 19
Chapter 19: Another Wave (Part 2)
The Alpha Star communicator was a ring-shaped device. Remembering that Maggie and the others usually wore them directly on their wrists, Feng Qingyu imitated them and put the bracelet, which looked about two fingers wider than her wrist, onto her arm. As soon as she put it on, the communicator automatically shrunk to the correct size.
“That’s amazing?” After turning it over and over a few times and failing to find the adjustment mechanism, Feng Qingyu couldn’t help but marvel, “Truly high-tech.”
She lay in bed studying the communicator for a while, finding that the applications inside used an unrecognizable script. Feng Qingyu quickly got bored and decided to sleep first and then ask Hena later if the language could be changed. However, just as she was getting drowsy, the communicator suddenly rang.
“Oh no, I forgot to ask Hena how to turn it off.” Startled awake, Feng Qingyu saw the communicator screen wasn’t flashing and didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t take it off either, so she had to climb out of bed. “Looks like I’ll have to make a trip. Ugh.”
However, Feng Qingyu froze after leaving her room: “Which room does Hena live in? Should I go to Mina’s lab? But that’s so far away…”
Nancy walked over from a distance and happened to see her standing at the door, so he proactively asked, “Hello, is there anything I can help you with?”
“Butler! You’re just in time. My communicator keeps ringing. How do I turn it off?”
Nancy looked at the communicator on her wrist, then carefully asked, “Are you sure you want to turn it off?”
“Why else?” Feng Qingyu was utterly confused by the question. “I’m having my afternoon nap, and it keeps ringing, it’s noisy.”
“Alright. You can press here. An interface will pop up. Click here to turn it off.”
“Thank you.” Finally having solved the problem, Feng Qingyu felt relieved. She thanked Nancy and returned to her room to continue her interrupted nap.
However, just as she was getting drowsy again, there was a knock on the door.
“Miss Feng Qingyu, Her Highness requests your presence in the conference hall.”
“Why didn’t you just tell me that it was ringing because someone was calling me?” Feng Qingyu, struggling to fully wake up, sat on a chair in the conference hall, finally realizing the reason behind Nancy’s carefulness earlier.
Mina saw her listless appearance. After being given a look by Maggie for stifling a laugh, she said seriously, “Nancy graduated from the Star Kingdom’s First Butler Academy. He executes whatever the master requests and never oversteps.”
“Then can you change the text on the communicator to a language I recognize?”
Maggie nodded and instructed Hena, “Change it for her.”
Hena took Feng Qingyu’s wrist, tapped a few times on the communicator, and said, “Done.”
“Let’s get down to business then.”
“Yes, Your Highness.” Hena put Feng Qingyu’s hand back and opened the projection on her own communicator. “This is a message sent by Her Majesty ten minutes ago.”
Hena’s communicator projected an image of a red-haired woman. Her appearance was five-tenths similar to Maggie’s, but she looked much more mature and composed.
“At 2:30, I will arrive to meet with you.” The woman’s voice was very gentle. Unlike Mina’s pleasant, spring-breeze feeling, this gentleness was motherly.
Maggie finished watching and said, “Mother must have read Hena’s report to decide to come.”
“But our experiment has just begun and we have not reached a conclusion yet. Is it okay to tell Her Majesty now?” Mina worriedly asked.
“It doesn’t matter.” Maggie waved her hand. “Mother is just coming to see her; she has no other intentions.”
Mina nodded, indicating she was fine with it.
Upon receiving Maggie’s instruction, Hena said, “When Her Majesty arrives later, absolutely do not bring up the first time. Remember, our meeting with Miss Feng Qingyu and the official cooperation started with her second return.”
This was primarily directed at Feng Qingyu. Yuna and Mina were generally quiet, so there was no need to worry about them.
“Why?”
“Because the first time, you entered the Star Kingdom illegally. If Her Majesty finds out, it might cause trouble for Her Highness.”
Feng Qingyu nodded meaningfully. “Oh—”
Hena thought she was having second thoughts and quickly said, “We are all on the same side now, Miss Feng Qingyu. I believe you are not an unreasonable person.”
Feng Qingyu raised an eyebrow. “What are you thinking? I’m just expressing ‘I understand.’ Don’t always feel guilty. Look at Maggie; she has made considerable progress, not showing any reaction so far. She’s calm and composed, worthy of praise!”
Yuna quickly looked at Maggie’s face upon hearing this. She relaxed when she saw no signs of anger. Just as she was about to say something, Maggie stopped her.
“Done talking? If so, go back and change into formal attire. Mother will arrive in half an hour. That goes for all of you.”
Seeing her reaction, Feng Qingyu felt a sense of defeat, like throwing a punch with all her might only to hit a cotton stack. “Fine.”
“Yes.” The other three’s respect for Edris was palpable, and they were naturally happy to dress formally to welcome her arrival.
Precisely at 2:30, Edris, wearing a pale yellow evening gown and a crystal crown, entered the conference hall, surrounded by guards.
Everyone in the room immediately stood up and bowed, saying, “Greetings to Your Majesty.”
Only Feng Qingyu remained seated, still out of the loop. Is this very gentle-looking woman the war-mongering demon who could destroy other planets with a single word?
“Ahem.” Hena, standing beside Feng Qingyu, couldn’t help but prompt her.
Hearing the cough, Feng Qingyu quickly stood up and instinctively extended her hand to greet her. “Hello, pleased to meet you. I am Feng Qingyu.”
Edris was slightly curious about her outstretched hand. After Maggie’s introduction, she curiously extended her hand and shook Feng Qingyu’s. “Hello, pleased to meet you. I’ve heard much about you. I am Edris, the Queen of Alpha Star.”
“Mother, please sit,” Maggie offered her seat, and only sat down in a lower position after Edris was seated.
Feng Qingyu remained in her spot, facing Edris directly.
“Everyone, sit down.” After beckoning the others to sit, Edris smiled at Feng Qingyu and said, “I hear you have a way to resolve the crisis in our Star Kingdom?”
“Yes, Mother. As stated in the report, Miss Feng Qingyu is a Divine Race from Earth.”
Edris covered her mouth with her hand, surprised. “How incredible. So the Divine Race truly exists in this universe. I wonder how this young lady plans to solve our predicament?”
“Kneading clay… to create humans.” Feng Qingyu spoke very reluctantly under the gaze of the others.
“With clay? That’s truly amazing!”
“Yes, Mother. This is the unique ability of the Divine Race on Earth.”
Edris nodded, showing great understanding. “But this is no small matter. It must be very taxing for you.”
Feng Qingyu was momentarily at a loss for how to reply to such a comment, so she only gave an awkward laugh to convey her embarrassment.
Edris didn’t mind and asked, “I do have one more question.”
“Ask away, Mother.”
“Kneading clay to create humans can at most create one or two generations of humans. So, when this young lady returns to her planet, what will happen to the next generation of humans? Will the Star Kingdom face a crisis again?”
Seeing Maggie and the other three remain silent, Feng Qingyu thought that the person in front of her was an elder, so it was inappropriate not to reply. She tentatively said, “I will try to create male creatures so they can combine with the female population and self-reproduce, just like on my planet.”
“But the women and other female organisms of the Star Kingdom of Alpha have different physiological structures from those in other star systems. I wonder if Maggie has mentioned this to you.”
Feng Qingyu nodded, but under Edris’s expectant gaze, she still braced herself and said, “I will strive to create men who can combine with the women of the Star Kingdom of Alpha.”
“That is truly much appreciated!” Edris was very pleased with this reply. After leaving some rewards, she happily headed back to the palace.
