The Savior Says She's Having a Breakdown - Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Compassion (Part 2)
“Damn it, I was actually tricked into forgetting the most important point!” Sitting in the spaceship and looking at the vast universe outside the porthole, Feng Qingyu finally remembered the core issue. “I don’t know how to mold people out of clay at all! Doesn’t this mean I’ll be working for them my whole life!”
As the spaceship approached Earth bit by bit, Feng Qingyu’s heart became increasingly excited, and she quickly forgot about being tricked.
She had left Earth unconsciously in her sleep. Returning this time, Feng Qingyu stayed by the window, intending to get a good look at her beautiful mother planet from space. After all, the experience of looking down at Earth from the universe was not something an ordinary person could have.
However, someone did not intend to let her have her wish.
“Due to considerations of confidentiality and safety, you must remain in the lounge during the landing process. We will be landing in about an hour. Please proceed to the lounge now.”
“Why? Didn’t Hena say that my level of freedom and status was second only to Maggie’s?” Feng Qingyu had not yet recovered from the shock brought by the vast universe and naturally wanted to keep watching.
Yuna complained inwardly about Hena’s boastful words, but at this moment had to cover for her. She reluctantly said, “It’s like this, Hena’s promise to you was limited to when we were on Planet Alpha. We are not on Planet Alpha now, so…”
“…Fine, you win, let’s go.” Feng Qingyu shrugged. Since she had already seen the brilliance of the blue planet, it was only a matter of not seeing the landing process, which wasn’t too hard to accept. Besides, she had been brought onto the ship while she was asleep, so they were probably still worried that she would plan to escape.
Since they were at the doorstep of home, if she angered this group of people, she might become like Yu the Great—passing by her door without entering. Feng Qingyu decided to continue being submissive; getting home was the priority.
As soon as they entered the lounge, Yuna ordered someone to close the door, and she sat opposite Feng Qingyu, staring blankly at her.
During the few days on Planet Alpha, Feng Qingyu had been constantly playing with mud—from the moment she woke up until she closed her eyes at night. Although it was boring, at least she had something to occupy herself with. As for the two days on the spaceship, she had been glued to the porthole, feeling the wonder of the universe. Now that she was idle, she found it utterly boring.
“Your technology is so much more advanced than Earth’s, so why don’t you have any entertainment?”
Just as Feng Qingyu thought Yuna planned to use silence to answer her, Yuna spoke, “We do.”
“What?”
“There are some sports similar to your Earth’s basketball, soccer, and badminton.”
“What else?”
Facing Feng Qingyu’s bright, somewhat sparkling eyes, Yuna felt a sense of guilt about what she was about to say because it seemed quite far from the answer the person in front of her wanted. So she tentatively asked, “Uh… does long-distance running count?”
“It’s all sports? Are there no leisure activities? Like board games, music, movies.”
Yuna shook her head.
“Then what do you usually do?” Feng Qingyu was extremely shocked by her answer. “You have computers, right? Are there no computer games? Oh, right, do you have mobile phones?”
“Communicators? Yes, we do have those.” Yuna considered the functions of an Earth mobile phone and nodded. “However, they are not quite the same as your mobile phones; they are more like mobile landlines.”
After a few moments of thought to understand her description, Feng Qingyu said, “I get it, a non-smartphone. Your planet can build spaceships, so why no smartphones? Why no computer games? Why no entertainment industry?”
“Because His Majesty says… trivial pursuits sap the will.” Yuna did not explain the difference between their communicators and Earth’s non-smartphones, only saying, “In the Beta galaxy, not far from the Sigma galaxy, there is a planet very similar to Earth, and the entertainment industry is very developed there. Because their technology was also very advanced, gradually, the humans on their planet began to hand all work over to AI, indulging in entertainment, neglecting their proper duties, and eventually losing all fighting spirit, before being conquered by His Majesty’s army.”
It was only then that Feng Qingyu realized that the worldview and values of this alien were completely different from her own, which had grown up on Earth! They worshipped force, believed in the truth of the jungle, and no matter how much they compromised with her, it couldn’t hide the fact that they were a group of organized, disciplined bandits!
And she, who had agreed to their terms, was simply an idiot!
Only an idiot would believe the assurances of this group of bandits.
But even if she realized it now, what good was it? Setting aside whether she would still be controlled by these bandits after returning to Earth, even if she could escape them and call the police, she would have to make sure the police didn’t send her away as a lunatic. Even if the police believed her, whether Earth’s current technology could fight these interstellar bandits was another question.
Although she had made an agreement with Hena, what if they went back on their word…
Feng Qingyu thought about it repeatedly, feeling that if she had a past life, she must have been an utterly wicked person to be stuck with such a huge mess in this life.
An hour later, the lounge door opened, and Maggie walked in with the others. She didn’t look at Feng Qingyu and said directly to Yuna, “Proceed as planned.”
“Yes.” Yuna nodded in acknowledgment, turned around, and said to Feng Qingyu, “My apologies.”
Before Feng Qingyu could even react, Yuna’s hand moved swiftly in a chop, and Feng Qingyu felt a sharp pain in her neck and passed out.
Waking up again, Feng Qingyu found herself in a room once more. Looking around, she assumed, not surprisingly, that she was in a hotel room on Earth.
At this moment, only Maggie and Yuna were in the room. The other legion members were either guarding the door or had gone elsewhere. Feng Qingyu sat up, only feeling a faint throbbing where she had been hit, and she complained, “Such a hard hit?”
“My apologies,” Yuna formally apologized again.
Maggie stood by the window, and hearing the sound, she turned her head. Her bright red hair seemed like a burning flame in the sunlight, but when she spoke, it was like the arrival of an iceberg: “You are back on Earth now. Remember to fulfill our agreement.”
“Earth is so big, I don’t even know where I am right now, so where am I supposed to fulfill the agreement?” Feng Qingyu mumbled, rubbing her neck as she got out of bed, walked over to the TV cabinet, and flipped open the hotel manual. “You sure know how to pick a place, right next to my school?”
“The Adult didn’t know where your home was, so we could only bring you to the place where we took you,” Yuna explained. “We did not check in here legally. Since you are awake, let’s begin our operation.”
Just as I knew, these aliens wouldn’t properly check in, thought Feng Qingyu, and she said, “My home is in a city hundreds of kilometers away, and in your current appearance, you can’t travel with me on public transportation. How about this, you stay here and wait for me…”
“Where is your home?” Maggie opened the handheld computer she carried, interrupting Feng Qingyu. “No need to go to such trouble; we can take you there directly.”
Her plan thwarted, Feng Qingyu’s mood instantly became complicated. She had no choice but to give a place name, and then asked, “Do you know how to get there?”
Maggie tapped a few keys on the computer, nodded, and said, “Yuna.”
“Yes.”
Seeing Yuna walk toward her and raise her arm, Feng Qingyu quickly stepped back two paces and asked, “Does it have to be this way?”
Yuna looked back at Maggie. Seeing that the other person was completely unmoved, she nodded and said, “It must.”
“Then… could you hit me a little lighter!” With no other option available, Feng Qingyu could only settle for a compromise, “I am a ‘fragile Earthling.’ If you damage me, you’ll be finished too!”
The moment she finished speaking, Yuna caught Feng Qingyu’s slumping “fragile” body, preventing her from having an intimate encounter with Mother Earth.
“Let’s go.” Seeing Yuna holding Feng Qingyu, Maggie nodded, pushed open the hotel window, and stepped out first.
Yuna followed closely.
If Feng Qingyu had been awake at this moment and saw this scene, she surely would have passed out this was the twentieth floor!
