The Scumbag Alpha's Redemption in a Sweet Romance - Chapter 36
Chapter 36
In the suite, Ning Chun lay on the bed in a heap, completely out of character. Because she was hot, she tried to take off her jacket, but she couldn’t find the buttons. She fumbled with them with her eyes closed for a long time but couldn’t undo them.
Finally, she was so frustrated that she rolled around on the bed.
Yan Hua didn’t bother with her. She first ordered a special hangover cure on her phone.
She hadn’t forgotten what she came here for. Even if Ning Chun was drunk, she had to sober her up.
When she walked over to check on Ning Chun, Ning Chun’s face was flushed. Half of it was from the heat, and half of it was from her collar strangling her.
It looked like she was trying to strangle herself to death.
Given what happened tonight, that was indeed a fitting way to die.
Yan Hua grabbed one of her wrists and laid her flat.
Only then did she notice that the buttons on her shirt were meticulously fastened. The top one was also very neat. If her face weren’t so red, she would have a bit of a chaste look.
Yan Hua reached out and helped her unbutton the collar.
The long-awaited air finally flowed into her nostrils. Ning Chun’s chest rose and fell, her chin was tilted up, and she was soundly asleep.
How much did she drink?
Yan Hua came to her side and patted her face with her hand. “Hey, wake up.”
Ning Chun frowned with her eyes closed, raised her hand to cover her face, and turned over to continue sleeping.
No matter what Yan Hua did to wake her up, she wouldn’t. Instead, she wrapped herself in the blanket like a giant caterpillar, and when she was hit or kicked, she would twist a few times in protest.
Yan Hua sat on the sofa chair with her arms crossed, so angry that she wanted to burn a hole in Ning Chun’s back with her eyes.
A moment later, there was a knock on the door. Yan Hua thought the hangover medicine had arrived, so she got up to open the door.
Ning Chun on the bed heard the noise and also got up shakily to open the door.
When the door opened, Xiao Zhao appeared with a smile and a bag in her hand. “Ma’am, CEO Ning drank a lot. I ordered some stomach-soothing porridge. Also, CEO Ning is quite strong. I’m here to see if you need any help.”
As a suddenly “valued” employee, Xiao Zhao felt she should be more attentive. When her leader and the leader’s wife needed help, she should step up, which would make her even more valued.
Besides, she was also an Alpha, so she was stronger and could probably help.
“Xiao Zhao, who are you calling ‘ma’am’?” Ning Chun was leaning against the wall, swaying. Her words were still slurred.
Xiao Zhao’s smile froze on her face. Her fingers unconsciously tightened around the takeout bag.
Ning Chun finally made it to the door. She put one hand on Yan Hua’s shoulder, as if she was holding her in her arms, and patted Xiao Zhao’s shoulder with the other. She said to her, “My wife is at home. I’ll introduce you to her another day.”
Xiao Zhao nodded vigorously. It was a good thing that CEO Ning was a person with integrity and was clean.
She knew she hadn’t followed the wrong leader.
Yan Hua frowned and pushed her away directly. As a result, Ning Chun lost her balance and fell straight to the ground.
Xiao Zhao was dumbfounded. She quickly grabbed her leader’s arm, which prevented Ning Chun from having an intimate encounter with the floor.
Finally, she and the leader’s wife worked together to drag her onto the bed.
Ning Chun’s eyelids were half-open. She lay on the bed and pouted, blowing bubbles. “I’m a mermaid. Glug glug~”
Xiao Zhao scratched her head, then touched her face. People really get busy when they’re embarrassed.
When Ning Chun woke up, she was still restless. She looked at Yan Hua by the bed and smiled. “I’m a fish. Come and catch me. My mouth is already open.”
Yan Hua didn’t even want to look at her, but Ning Chun was making a fuss, so she grabbed her collar and cooperated. She lifted her slightly and then let go. “Alright, you’re hooked. I’ve caught you.”
But Ning Chun wasn’t satisfied and started to make a fuss again. “You’re so mean. You’ve already caught me, but you don’t want me anymore. You should take me home. I’m yours now.”
Xiao Zhao listened to her leader’s nonsense but could feel that CEO Ning really liked her wife.
After all, no fish would be so foolish as to ask to be caught and then want to be taken home.
A silly fish was truly in love.
There was a knock on the door. The hangover medicine had arrived.
Xiao Zhao, being very perceptive, took the initiative to open the door and brought it in.
But when she saw the medicine, she was stunned for two seconds.
It was a special hangover medicine that would make you sober within fifteen minutes. She had seen the advertisement for this medicine before. The effect was indeed very good, but it also had its drawbacks. For example, the needle was very thick, and it would hurt so much that it would make a person scream when it was injected.
She had a cousin who got too drunk at her wedding banquet and sobered up with this medicine. Her arm was bruised for more than a week, and it hurt to even hold chopsticks.
And the effect was very strong. It would cause a severe headache and was far less gentle than pills.
Xiao Zhao was a little hesitant. “Ma’am, why don’t I go to the pharmacy and buy a box of pills? This medicine is too strong.”
Yan Hua reached out to her directly. “No need. You come here and help me hold her down.”
Xiao Zhao gasped. So it was a love-hate relationship.
Yan Hua opened the medicine box. There were two doses inside. She took one out and injected it into Ning Chun’s left arm.
At the moment the needle went in, Ning Chun reacted strongly and almost bounced off the bed. It was clear how much it hurt.
Yan Hua couldn’t do it alone and relied entirely on Xiao Zhao to hold her arm down.
But fifteen minutes passed, and Ning Chun showed no signs of sobering up. Instead, she was still blowing bubbles and accusing Yan Hua, “Why are you stabbing me? Are you going to eat me? Humans are so scary, scarier than monsters.”
Yan Hua was also confused. She even took out the medicine instructions and read them. It said fifteen minutes, but why was it not working? Was it fake medicine?
“How much did she drink?” Yan Hua asked.
“Well, CEO Ning has been in a bad mood for the past few days, but she didn’t bother anyone. She just drank alone. She drank almost any alcohol she could get her hands on.”
“A lot,” Xiao Zhao said after thinking of all the words she could.
“How much is ‘a lot’?” Yan Hua took out the other dose from the box. She looked at the instructions to confirm that she could inject two doses in a short amount of time, then grabbed Ning Chun’s right arm.
Xiao Zhao was in a bad mood. She almost drank every time she socialized and even drank for her colleagues. She was fine.
Yan Hua’s face was slightly mocking. She ran away without saying a word. She hadn’t even said anything.
Tonight, she had to sober her up.
After the two doses went in, Ning Chun felt dizzy. One moment it was Xiao Zhao’s concerned eyes, and the next it was Yan Hua’s cold stare.
She must be dreaming. How could Yan Hua be here?
She felt so tired and even in pain, but her mind was getting clearer and clearer. It was as if all her brain nerves were working against her. She wasn’t sober when she should have been, but she couldn’t sleep when she wanted to.
Ning Chun closed her eyes, but the voices in her ears became clearer.
“Ma’am, the time is up. This medicine should have taken effect, but why isn’t CEO Ning sober yet?”
Yan Hua’s voice sounded from a short distance away. “Then what should we do? Should we just take her to the hospital?”
“Huh?” Xiao Zhao didn’t know how to respond, but she was already impressed by the madam’s perseverance.
Ning Chun opened her eyes. The ceiling seemed to be spinning, and her arms were throbbing with pain. Her mind was clear, but her senses hadn’t caught up yet.
She struggled to sit up from the bed. Xiao Zhao’s voice followed. “She’s awake, she’s awake.”
Yan Hua walked over with a glass of water and stood in front of Ning Chun. “Who am I?”
Ning Chun looked up at her, her head aching. She rubbed her temples and shouted, “I can’t see you clearly.” But her mouth moved toward the glass, and she drank more than half of it in one gulp.
She took a moment to recover and finally saw clearly, but wasn’t she supposed to be at home?
Could she just run around during her estrus period?
Was she not afraid of something happening?
Ning Chun was shocked. She got up so quickly that her vision went black. She held her forehead to steady herself and asked, “Why are you here?”
Yan Hua put down the glass and said sarcastically, “If I wasn’t here, should I be at Song Xiaoran’s door waiting for you to come out?”
Ning Chun felt like she had been struck by lightning. She couldn’t even feel the pain anymore. How did Song Xiaoran get involved?
“No, I came here for a business trip. What does this have to do with Song Xiaoran?”
Seeing that the two of them were about to start arguing, Xiao Zhao, being perceptive, left and gave them their space.
Yan Hua ignored her and sat on the sofa, waiting for her explanation.
But Ning Chun didn’t even know the cause and effect, so she couldn’t say anything.
“Let’s talk about us first,” Yan Hua said, bringing up the matter of her leaving without saying goodbye and resisting her comfort.
Ning Chun clearly didn’t want to talk about it. “Let’s talk about Song Xiaoran instead. I have a clear conscience.”
“So you’re saying that you have a guilty conscience about us?” Yan Hua leaned forward, grabbed the hem of her clothes, and pulled her to her. Because Ning Chun wasn’t paying attention, she was pulled so hard that she knelt on one knee in front of Yan Hua.
Yan Hua was sitting on a wine-red velvet armchair. One leg was crossed over the other. The powder-pink high heels were very clean, and they were inlaid with smooth pearls.
They almost touched Ning Chun’s stomach.
Ning Chun’s hand was caught off guard and landed on her thigh. The dress was made of a very smooth material, and it slid in a few inches along with her force.
As if she had been scalded, Ning Chun pulled her hand back after steadying herself.
She didn’t even dare to look around and just looked to the side with her neck stiff.
Yan Hua saw her stubborn side and sneered. “What kind of unforgivable thing did I do to make you so angry?”
Ning Chun’s earlobes turned red inch by inch. Her face also started to burn. Yan Hua noticed this.
She hadn’t even done anything yet, and she was already shy. But in her eyes, this look made her really want to pin her down and bully her.
But she was here for business today, so she had to hold back.
Ning Chun gritted her teeth and didn’t say anything. Yan Hua reached out and pinched her hot ear.
Now this was something. It was like her weak spot had been pinched. Ning Chun’s eyelids twitched violently, and her shoulders also tensed up.
Yan Hua’s movements were very gentle, a kind of caress. It was a little itchy, and Ning Chun couldn’t stand it at all.
She directly grabbed Yan Hua’s wrist, telling her not to do this.
“You were in your estrus period that day. I saw Mu Fengqing come out of your room, and she had tooth marks on her hand.”
Yan Hua was slightly stunned, then suddenly laughed out loud. “Oh, that? That wasn’t me. That was Qingqing who bit her.”
It was such a small thing, but she didn’t talk about it and just got sad in private.
Ning Chun blinked, not believing it at all. “She was also holding the back of her neck. That couldn’t have been Qingqing too.”
“No,” Yan Hua said. “Qingqing’s condition is unstable. She accidentally bumped into a wall while helping. She must have gotten injured.”
The misunderstanding was cleared, and Ning Chun was also relieved.
But she was still a little worried. The road ahead was long, and who knew what would happen?
For her, she could only take one step at a time.
“Alright, let’s talk about Song Xiaoran now.”
Looking at Yan Hua’s smile, Ning Chun’s back felt a little cold.
She had to find a way to solve the crux of this fatal problem quickly.
