The Scumbag Alpha's Redemption in a Sweet Romance - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
The thin fingernails scraped her scent gland. The movement was light, but the sensation was as intense as a powerful flirtation. Ning Chun couldn’t handle the stimulation. She had forgotten she even had a scent gland on the back of her neck, leaving her completely defenseless against Yan Hua’s touch.
“You’re so hot,” Yan Hua said, looking at the reaction of the person below her. She placed her cool palm on Ning Chun’s left cheek. “Your cheek is hot, too.”
Ning Chun felt that her body was very strange. The places Yan Hua had touched felt like they were on fire. Am I getting a fever?
Ning Chun’s breathing grew heavier and heavier. She closed her eyes. A few seconds later, she used the strength of her core to quickly lift Yan Hua off her. With her hands free, she held Yan Hua steadily and then quickly put her on the bed.
The entire process was incredibly fast. It was so fast that Yan Hua didn’t even have time to react. She just felt Ning Chun’s firm arms against her collarbone, a very controlled touch. The sense of security was immense.
“Maybe it really is my estrus cycle,” she said, then fled to the bathroom, splashing cold water on her face several times.
The heat on her body gradually dissipated, and Ning Chun calmed down. She felt like she had forgotten something important. It wasn’t until she came out that she saw the white lace blindfold in Yan Hua’s hand.
!!!
There were several more unopened square boxes on the floor. It was obvious they weren’t anything proper. The items visible to the naked eye included a delicate silver chain collar, a horrifying small leather whip, and some seductive red ribbons tangled together. It was a very obvious bondage play with classic fetish toys.
Ning Chun was about to explode. She screamed in her heart: Kan Yu! You have truly wronged me!
She bit her lower lip and pretended not to see them, but Yan Hua’s gaze was already fixed on her.
“Aren’t you going to explain what these are?”
Ning Chun rubbed her nose guiltily, pretending to look at them. “What are these? So weird. Maybe someone else’s package was sent to the wrong address.”
Yan Hua let out a cold laugh. “Don’t pretend. Your name is on them.”
Ning Chun’s mouth twitched. She waved her hand and smiled bitterly. “Listen to my fabrication… no, listen to my explanation.”
“Kan Yu sent them. I didn’t know these would be inside.” A swift but not-so-graceful pass of the blame was made.
Yan Hua picked up one end of the red ribbon. The other end fell on Ning Chun’s exposed arm. The ribbon slowly moved across her pale skin. Ning Chun looked calm on the surface, but her heart was trembling. The feeling was like being gnawed at by countless small things.
The distance between them was very close. With just a slight lean, they could touch. Yan Hua leaned her head near Ning Chun’s ear, her tone light and dangerous. “But I think you’re very familiar with these things.”
What does she mean? Ning Chun’s pupils widened. Did she think I used to be a player? Or did she believe I deliberately prepared these things to use on her? Heaven and Earth bear witness, I really didn’t have that thought!
“Are you really not in your estrus cycle?”
The topic suddenly shifted, and Ning Chun was taken aback. “Huh? Maybe.”
“Your face is getting red again.”
Ning Chun raised her hand to touch her face. It was indeed very hot. What’s wrong with me today? Why am I always hot? Could it really be my estrus cycle?
“Do you need my help?” She meant, help to relieve it.
Ning Chun thought she was talking about injecting an inhibitor. “No need. I know how to handle it.”
She gathered up all the inappropriate items, pulled the red ribbon from Yan Hua’s hand, and held the box. She said to Yan Hua, “You go to sleep. I can handle this myself.”
The bathroom door closed once again. Ning Chun first took a cold shower, but finding the effect too short, she found an inhibitor and injected herself. To be safe, she also took some special cooling medicine and used an inhibitor patch.
Yan Hua was here tonight. She couldn’t let anything go wrong. It was a good thing Yan Hua wasn’t angry. She was one step farther away from that tragic ending.
Her eyes fell on the pile of adult toys. Ning Chun immediately called Kan Yu. The other person’s voice was overly cheerful. “Hey, cousin. Why are you calling me so suddenly? Do you not know how to use them?”
“Shut up,” Ning Chun said through gritted teeth, wanting to chew up and swallow the person on the other end of the line. “Why did you send me adult toys?” Do you want me to die faster?
“What are you talking about, cousin?” Kan Yu said carelessly. “You know I have two adult toy companies. Besides, you agreed to it.”
Ning Chun now understood what it felt like to shoot herself in the foot.
“Oh, right. How was your sister-in-law’s experience?”
The mocking, gossipy tone completely broke Ning Chun. “Just shut up.”
The other person let out a knowing “oh,” and teased, “You didn’t get to the good part, did you? That’s why you’re so cranky. Okay, I have to go. I won’t hold up your passionate night. Remember to give me feedback!”
Ning Chun must have been in the bathroom for a long time, so long that Yan Hua knocked on the door and asked, “Ning Chun, are you okay? Do you need me to call a doctor?”
At this moment, Ning Chun was wracking her brain for a secure, hidden place to hide the toys. She panicked a little and almost slipped. “I’m fine. You go to sleep. Don’t worry about me.”
The bathroom wasn’t small, but there was nowhere to hide anything. After thinking it over, she placed the box in the cabinet where the clean towels were kept and blocked it with other things. Out of sight, out of mind. She would destroy them tomorrow.
When she was completely finished, Yan Hua was still awake. “Why aren’t you sleeping? You don’t have to wait for me.”
Yan Hua bit her lip, as if she had made a decision. “The estrus cycle is hard to get through. Forcing it down is bad for your body. I can help—”
“I’m fine!” Ning Chun interrupted her abruptly. “The technology for inhibitors is very advanced now. We have to believe in science.”
Ning Chun wasn’t just talking. She had done her research. Combining the popular novel trope of “inhibitors always failing at the critical moment,” she had decisively bought the products from a rival company and made arrangements in every place she frequented. Her motto was “always be prepared.” For example, right now, she felt that her condition was excellent. Her body was no longer hot. The inhibitor must have worked.
After speaking, Ning Chun realized she had interrupted Yan Hua. “What were you going to say? Go on.”
“Nothing,” Yan Hua said, her face cold. She pulled back the comforter. “It’s time to sleep.”
“Good. Good night.”
Ning Chun was used to rough living in the apocalypse. She could sleep soundly on a sofa. As soon as she closed her eyes, she fell asleep, completely unaware that the other person in the room was insomniac for half the night.
Yan Hua finally fell asleep at dawn. When she woke up, she was the only one in the room. Ning Chun was already gone. When she checked the time, it was past nine.
She changed her clothes and went downstairs. The butler handed her a card, smiling. “This is your spending money from Miss Ning. She said you can spend it however you want. Also, the madam wants to go shopping with you this afternoon, and the second young miss will be there too. The stylist has already been arranged and will arrive shortly.”
Yan Hua didn’t take the card. Instead, she asked, “Where is Ning Chun?”
“Miss Ning left early this morning. She said she had a very important matter to attend to.”
