The Second Son of The Marquis Runs Away from Home ~ Lacking Talent, He Abandons Everything and Becomes an Adventurer ~ - 124
Chapter 124: Sending to Yomi
I swung the Futsu no Mitama horizontally. Lightning surged, burning away and erasing the corpses and monsters that had gathered around.
“A sword that purges the filth of death!? To think you were hiding such a thing!”
Yomi shouted as he commanded the dragons to release heat rays. I deflected the heat rays with Futsu no Mitama and charged towards Yomi.
With a single swing of my tail, which was filled with light, I swept through a group of flying soldiers. I cut through the dragon’s approaching head, its jaw wide open, with a dark storm and my sword.
I clashed with the sword Yomi was holding, and with each collision of our blades, lightning and cold air spread out, tearing through the air and freezing it.
Bones gathered around Yomi’s left arm, forming a massive bone arm. He fired the Mistilteinn, a god-killing weapon, from his wing, piercing the left arm.
I kicked up the arm holding the sword. As it rose, I slammed a fist wrapped in lightning into Yomi’s cheek. His helmet shattered and flew off.
“!? My body…”
Taking advantage of Yomi’s moment of confusion, I gathered the lightning from Futsu no Mitama and focused it into the blade, rather than releasing it. I grabbed the gathered lightning as though it were a sheath, drawing it from the sword, and the lightning took the form of a spear that fit into my hand.
“Nu, ooh…”
Just as Yomi attempted to send his monsters to attack again, I threw the lightning spear. It obliterated the monsters in its path and pierced through the sky, impaling Yomi and nailing him to the Gate of Yomi.
“I told you. Even with that blade, death cannot be killed…!?”
The lightning from the spear spreading through Yomi. The lightning expanded not only around Yomi but also to the Gate, binding their movements.
“…There is no need to kill you.”
I readied Futsu no Mitama again. As I placed my hand on the blade, I poured the darkness of the Chaos Crusader and the light of the High-End into the sword.
The pitch-black darkness and the pure white light mixed together. The two opposing forces clashed and amplified, creating a powerful whirlpool that converged into one. I lifted the sword at the moment that the power reached its peak.
“Return to Yomi…”
I brought down Futsu no Mitama. The swirling power’s torrent drove Yomi downward, flowing into the depths of the gate, releasing a blinding light of destruction.
In the void created behind the Gate, everything was pulled in. Not just Yomi’s monsters and corpses, but also the dragons created by the Gate of Yomi were swallowed up.
“…I see.”
Yomi, bound by lightning, muttered as he watched the receding Gate, as though he had realized something.
“This is what it feels like to lose.”
He spoke while releasing the restraint on his right hand. Even though there should have been no way to recover from this situation, Yomi smiled.
“Interesting.”
Yomi’s right hand moved, drawing a symbol. The faint light of the symbol glowed as Yomi touched it, and the symbol moved towards the outside of the Gate. No one but Yomi noticed it.
“Berg, I look forward to the day you come here… the one man who taught me defeat.”
That was the last thing Yomi said.
