The Senior Student (female) Is Not Human - Chapter 35
Chapter 35: The Restaurant
[Jin Ke’s writing is truly wonderful! Deep water reward] Playing…
When Xie Shiwei woke up, everything from last night felt like a dream.
Yet, the delicate, slightly cool body pressed against her back, a body that seemed to have great difficulty warming up, reminded her so vividly that it was all real.
Sister had genuinely used the excuse of a full-body massage, taking the little toys she usually enjoyed alone in the dead of night, and given her an unforgettable experience she’d never had before.
The moment it ended was a bit startling, though.
Hearing that extremely seductive voice demand all her passwords, Xie Shiwei couldn’t help but think: Sister is so wealthy, she can’t possibly be after my small savings, right?
Sure enough, Jiang Xiyao paused and explained that she only wanted her lock screen password.
But Xie Shiwei still refused without hesitation.
The password for her treasured backup files was the same as her lock screen! Absolutely could not be revealed!
However, Xie Shiwei thought blankly:
—Did Sister not understand anything, and simply by accident put that thing in the right spot just to tease her? Or did she actually know everything, and deliberately want to see her embarrassed and losing control?
The doubt surfaced just as it was the weekend and she didn’t have to go to school. Xie Shiwei suddenly wanted to verify her suspicions.
She carefully turned over in the embrace.
And just happened to stare right into those inky black eyes.
“!”
The guilty claw she had subconsciously reached out froze in mid-air.
Xie Shiwei’s eyes darted away, and she nervously opened her mouth: “G-Good morning, Sister?”
Jiang Xiyao narrowed her eyes at her. After a moment, she nestled her chin comfortably onto her neck and shoulder. The lazy, beautiful voice flowed closely into her ear: “Good morning, Xie Shiwei.”
A warm tingling suddenly spread through her heart.
In that very ordinary “good morning,” Xie Shiwei felt an indescribable sense of happiness.
It was as if…
They were long-time lovers who had slept in each other’s arms through countless nights and mornings.
In the instant she was stunned, Jiang Xiyao glanced at the hand suspended in mid-air and pulled the wrist down:
“Isn’t keeping it up tiring? What were you trying to do?”
Xie Shiwei spoke instinctively, without thinking: “I wanted to touch you.”
“Hmm?”
Jiang Xiyao’s dark brows arched, as if she had heard an interesting story.
So, she finally reluctantly pulled back a little, looking at her with keen interest:
“How were you planning to touch me? Where?”
Even though she was the one being taken advantage of, Jiang Xiyao was very proactive. She pulled Xie Shiwei’s hand, placed it on her own cheek, narrowed her eyes, and her tone became extraordinarily proud:
“My skin has such a lovely texture. Even the finest silk cloth from the past is not one ten-thousandth as good as mine. Not even the pampered women in those royal residences can compare to me.”
“And every bone on my body, feel the perfect mark where they’re joined—”
Xie Shiwei twitched her mouth and pulled her hand back.
Seeing the honesty in Jiang Xiyao’s eyes, without a trace of shyness, just pure showing off, her little thought of testing whether the other person was truly interested or had an ulterior motive died right then and there.
Artists really speak differently from ordinary people, huh?
What skin, what bone joints…
Not only did it completely extinguish her romantic thoughts, but it also gave rise to a feeling of horror.
Xie Shiwei quickly climbed out of the embrace to retrieve her glasses: “Thank you, Sister. You truly are perfect. I’m going to wash up now.”
Jiang Xiyao, however, was extremely displeased with her perfunctory response!
Xie Shiwei finally suggested touching and caressing her, so why did she want to run away after less than half a minute of touching? What did that mean? What did this custard bun not like about her body?
Black eyes quietly brewed a storm.
The beauty, abandoned alone in the bed, had a chilling coldness set on her face.
Just then, a scream suddenly rang out!
“Ah—!”
Her expression froze, and she got up and headed out.
As soon as she stepped out of the room, a figure rushed over with lightning speed and clung to her.
Jiang Xiyao’s lips involuntarily curved. She extended her arms and caught the person perfectly.
[Aaaah, what the heck, what the heck! Why is that hand in my school bag? My goodness, it’s so scary! Who understands the shock of opening my bag and being ambushed by a hand right in my face? If someone wasn’t home, I would have fainted already!]
Feeling the terrified heartbeat of the girl, who was now wearing her glasses and whose inner voice was jumping wildly.
Jiang Xiyao followed her gaze and saw a pale statue right hand sticking out of the school bag.
—It’s her fragment again.
Is this a growing practical joke from the Zhou family? Or is her fragment following Xie Shiwei?
Jiang Xiyao’s eyes showed a look of inquiry, but her tone was feigned surprise and ignorance:
“Where did this come from?”
“I don’t know!” Xie Shiwei shook her head frantically in her arms: “I, I, I only saw this so-called European master’s sculpture in Zhou Jiming’s collection display cabinet while tutoring. I really didn’t touch it!”
Jiang Xiyao, of course, believed her.
This idiot would rather starve to death on the street than steal something from someone.
But that didn’t stop her from using this opportunity to badmouth the Zhou family:
“Then you’re finished.”
“These rich people won’t care what the truth is. Even if you report it to the police and return it, they will definitely label you as a thief. Even if you’ve turned over a new leaf, they won’t let you off.”
Seeing Xie Shiwei’s expression turn to horror, her lips trembling, she asked for help: “What should I do?”
Jiang Xiyao tilted her head slightly.
“Also, they were never good people to begin with. I checked the skincare products they gave you yesterday. They don’t have a record number and can’t be found on the market. They definitely intend to use you as a guinea pig and want you to test their new products.”
“I heard some unregulated products like to add heavy metals and carcinogenic pollutants to achieve whitening effects. They probably specifically put this in your school bag to frame you, and then force you to test the product and provide data…”
Xie Shiwei’s pupils constricted in shock.
The hearts of the rich are truly filthy!
Seeing that she was speechless, Jiang Xiyao naturally suggested: “Just pretend you don’t know anything, say you have other part-time jobs, and don’t go throwing yourself into the trap—I’ll take you to a new place for a job later.”
Xie Shiwei nodded, nodded, and nodded again.
It wasn’t until Jiang Xiyao carried her to the bathroom and asked if she wanted help squeezing toothpaste that she barely regained her senses. She shook her head to refuse, but as the other person was leaving, she couldn’t help but grab the beauty’s wrist:
“Th-Then what about that statue? We can’t just leave it at home, can we?”
Jiang Xiyao looked at her dependent gesture and trusting gaze, suddenly realizing that increasing physical contact was effective.
—Full-body massage, she not only had to do it, but she had to do it often.
A hint of mischief surfaced in her black eyes. She replied very calmly:
“Just smash it and throw it away.”
Her tone was vicious: “An ugly counterfeit that attempted to replicate my perfect proportions without my permission, only to create an awkward imitation. Keeping it is just an eyesore.”
Xie Shiwei silently glanced at her own right hand.
For some reason, for a moment, she suddenly felt that the lifeless pallor of that statue wasn’t that different from Jiang Xiyao’s hand.
They both had a certain indescribable non-human quality.
Jiang Xiyao seemed to read her mind and threatened with a questioning “Hmm?”
Xie Shiwei quickly discarded the strange feeling, buried her head, brushed her teeth, and nervously “Mm-hmm-mm” agreed.
After washing up, she planned to choose an ordinary student’s sportswear from the closet, something suitable for job hunting. But Jiang Xiyao suddenly took it away, handing her instead a New Chinese-style qipao and vest set.
“You need to dress nicely for the place you’re going to work today.” Saying that, the beauty also removed her black-rimmed glasses, replacing them with a rimless, yet gold-edged, beautiful pair.
She even produced an off-white silk ribbon and braided her hair into two cute bun braids.
The girl looked pure and gentle, and Jiang Xiyao was extremely satisfied—
Hair ribbon, glasses.
The scent of the fragment, which belonged exclusively to her, was gradually and continuously permeating more of Xie Shiwei.
Xie Shiwei, however, was very uneasy. The last time she applied for a waitress job at a bar, the dim lighting and the likelihood of encountering harassment and groping, combined with the manager not allowing her to wear “ugly” clothes, forced her to reluctantly decline the high salary.
But in the next instant, her worried face was cupped by the woman:
“Are you afraid of working alone?”
“Why are you still so timid, like a child? I can’t help it. I’ll go with you, alright?”
Xie Shiwei stared at her blankly.
Because she had only ever lived with her grandparents since she was a child, and her entire family was vulnerable, every time she registered at a new school, she would try to stand tall in front of her grandfather and communicate with the teachers.
Whether it was a job interview, a hospital visit, or university enrollment, Xie Shiwei had long been accustomed to acting like a little adult, learning all the procedures in advance, and then talking to outsiders with great familiarity.
This was the first time.
Someone had seen through the nervousness she herself often ignored, smiled and called her a child, and then, in the most natural way of accompanying a child, went out with her to become her support.
That subtle warmth made her forget to refute the misunderstood concern. By the time she realized it, she was already sitting in a premium car with Jiang Xiyao, arriving in front of a Black Pearl restaurant.
Then, she saw the beauty stand confidently at the entrance, beckoning the manager:
“Which position here is the easiest and pays the most? Have her start now.”
Xie Shiwei: “…”
What was she just being moved by?!
Was she crazy? To actually believe Sister would help her find a legitimate part-time job!
Just as despair welled up in her heart, she sensed the manager’s gaze scanning her. Xie Shiwei’s cheeks burned. She instinctively reached out to pull Jiang Xiyao’s sleeve, wanting to drag the person who was making her commit social suicide away.
But she heard the manager say with sudden understanding: “Is this student looking for a part-time job? Coincidentally, we are a bit short-staffed nearing the winter break. Are you available now? I’ll have someone immediately train you to learn about the restaurant’s culture and dishes.”
Xie Shiwei couldn’t believe her ears.
Is finding a part-time job this easy now? The internet said that university students looking for part-time or summer work are told to come in even if they look like a fugitive, but are instantly kicked out if their job-seeking time clashes with the start of the semester.
How is it that finding a job is as easy as breathing when it comes to Sister?
She walked into the high-end restaurant with its low-key, luxurious decor, and cautiously poked Jiang Xiyao’s side:
“Is this restaurant owned by your relative?”
Jiang Xiyao initially found her small, seemingly covert action endearing.
When she heard what she said, the smile in her eyes froze.
“What kind of shabby place is worthy of—”
Before the word “worthy” was finished, Xie Shiwei quickly clapped her hand over her mouth.
[Stop your divine powers, my dear Sister! I’m begging them to let me work here! What will we do if we’re humiliatingly swept out the door later?! How embarrassing!]
Jiang Xiyao glanced at her unhappily.
Her clear, childlike black and white eyes, when still, resembled the exquisite doll eyes in a store display case.
A moment later, she very reluctantly licked her palm, signaling that she understood.
The manager, who was proudly introducing the restaurant’s history, happened to turn around at that moment:
“…Aside from several award-winning chefs, our restaurant is most famous for its extensive collection of wines in collaboration with famous French wineries. Even many celebrities in this city like to store their wine in our cellar—what are you two doing?”
Xie Shiwei quickly pulled her hand back and hid it behind her.
She saw the manager looking suspiciously back and forth between the two of them.
Before she could speak, Jiang Xiyao rolled her eyes unapologetically:
“None of your business. You’re so long-winded, louder than five hundred ducks. My ears are going deaf. Are you done talking nonsense?”
The manager, however, plastered on a smile: “She is the only one applying for the waiter position, so you must be our esteemed guest. Do you have any special requirements regarding taste and dishes?”
Jiang Xiyao originally wanted to tell him to move his greasy, smelly face away.
But under Xie Shiwei’s pathetic plea, with her hands clasped together, desperately signaling her to behave.
She very reluctantly endured: “Just treat me with the best quality you have here.”
She paused, then pointed to Xie Shiwei: “Have someone train her well.”
And so, Xie Shiwei received unprecedentedly smooth part-time work treatment.
She not only quickly received attentive guidance from a veteran employee but was also simply asked to be a quiet showpiece next to him, memorizing the ingredients in the menu manual, which were directly supplied from special domestic and foreign origins.
Moreover, customers who dine at this kind of restaurant are generally better at concealing low-quality behavior.
She heard a male customer compliment the manager: “The waitstaff you pick are all quite good-looking. That one by the door with the two little braids is quite cute.”
As for the occasional ones who couldn’t hide it—
Xie Shiwei’s gaze drifted toward the corner.
Jiang Xiyao’s table, not surprisingly, was surrounded by several men.
The table was also piled high with wine glasses—red wine, white wine, and beer.
She couldn’t help but worry that someone would get drunk and cause trouble, ready to grab her phone to call the police at any moment. But then, she was suddenly blocked by a beautiful woman who had just entered.
“Wow, what a cute young lady.” The middle-aged woman, dressed and accessorized flashily, with a handbag draped over her arm, asked the manager who greeted her: “Is this your new hire? She’s too adorable.”
“She looks like a pure and innocent university student. Seeing her just makes you feel energetic and vibrant. Excellent. Little sister, take my table’s order later. I’ll tip extra for the service. I just love seeing cute kids like this.”
Xie Shiwei saw the genuine admiration in her eyes, pursed her lips, and gave the customer a small smile.
Rich men and rich women are different.
When they see something beautiful, the latter are generally inclined toward appreciation rather than possession and acquisition.
With the manager’s tacit approval, she walked over with the customer, picked up the iPad to take the order, and when flipping to the seasonal new items, she nervously recalled the ingredient knowledge points she had just memorized.
“The King Crab this season is air-freighted directly from Hunchun… it can be paired with Ganbajun mushrooms. Ganbajun mushrooms are newly acquired from Yunnan and are the freshest. The original price is 10,000 per jin…”
After completing the order without incident, the female customer also asked Xie Shiwei to retrieve her stored red wine from the cellar.
She walked out of the room, first letting out a huge sigh of relief.
Then, she suddenly heard someone call “Waiter” in her direction.
Xie Shiwei looked up and saw that it was Jiang Xiyao’s table. The black-haired beauty, surrounded by many “green leaves,” had her dark eyes tightly locked on her. She had been staring for an unknown amount of time.
As Xie Shiwei walked over.
The unhappy beauty’s gaze, like a vengeful ghost, was cold and sharp as a needle, pricking all of her exposed skin. She felt a burning, stinging pain.
However, when that dangerous gaze scanned down past her waist, past the hem of her over-the-knee skirt to her calves, Xie Shiwei inexplicably felt her lower abdomen tighten.
[S-So strange. Why do I feel weak in the legs just from being looked at now? I haven’t even gotten close yet!]
Her steps involuntarily slowed down, as if carrying a certain reserve.
Standing still beside Jiang Xiyao, her mind scattered, she asked the man who had beckoned her, as if nothing was wrong: “Sir, may I help you?”
The man’s attitude was hostile. He slammed the table, and his words, like thunder, exploded next to her ear!
Xie Shiwei’s shoulder instinctively flinched, but she couldn’t hear what he was saying at all.
Because.
A slender, icy high-heeled shoe tip was circling near the thin skin of her ankle.
Circling.
And then, almost imperceptibly, moving upward.
The sole, rough against her delicate skin, pressed lightly yet firmly into her snow-white calf muscle.
Even without looking down, Xie Shiwei could almost envision the extremely fine red mark being drawn by the thin heel, like a coiling snake, crawling up her calf.
In her ear, the beauty’s careless whisper penetrated:
“What were you talking about with that old woman in the room just now?”
She paused, and then her red lips suddenly spoke a number:
“6 minutes and 34 seconds.”
Xie Shiwei was alone with that old woman for a whole 6 minutes and 34 seconds!
What does that mean? That duration is enough time for Xie Shiwei to climax 7 times!
