The Strongest Delivery Man - Chapter 3
With delicate features and porcelain-white skin, she looked just like a beautiful porcelain doll—enough to stir the protective instincts of most men!
“Wow, you’re still here?” Seeing Fang Ye, the adorable girl naturally sidled up to him and wrapped her arms around his.
“Miss, I don’t think we know each other that well?” Fang Ye calmly shook her off, much to Zhang Zikai’s shock.
“Don’t be like that! We can just add each other on WeChat and get to know each other!” The cute girl grinned, pulling out a pink, latest-model iPhone. “My name is Wen Xin, but you can just call me Xiao Xin.”
Zhang Zikai felt like he’d been struck by lightning.”
What was going on? This absolute goddess was actually asking to add Fang Ye on WeChat? Was she blind?
But what happened next nearly made him cough up bl00d.
“No!” Fang Ye rejected her without hesitation. “Who knows what you’re up to? I’m busy. Bye!”
Zhang Zikai was so shocked he nearly had a heart attack.
Fang Ye, you beast! Are you even human? You actually rejected a beauty like that?!
You’re just a college student delivering food. What could you possibly be busy with?!
Wen Xin was equally displeased. She was a beauty, after all. How could someone reject her so bluntly?
Pouting, she pulled out her trump card. “If you don’t add me on WeChat, I’ll call and file a complaint against you, then leave a one-star review!”
“You! Fine, you win!”
Fang Ye had no choice. If she really pulled this move, Xia Wei would probably skin him alive…
“Here!” Fang Ye impatiently pulled out a budget smartphone. “My name is Fang Ye. Don’t bother me unless it’s important. I’m very busy.”
“Okay!” Wen Xin grinned and scanned his QR code before putting her phone away.
Fang Ye turned to leave, but Wen Xin trailed behind him like a little follower.
“Zikai? Zikai?” A blonde-haired girl shook Zhang Zikai’s arm.
“What?” Zhang Zikai snapped back to reality. Seeing his girlfriend, he immediately frowned. Compared to Wen Xin, his blonde-haired girlfriend paled in comparison, utterly outclassed. And yet, Fang Ye, that loser, had turned Wen Xin down? Where was the justice in that?!
“There’s a big crowd over there. Should we check it out?” The blonde-haired girl pointed to the roadside, where a group of people had gathered in a circle, exclaiming in awe.
“Fine, let’s take a look.” Zhang Zikai suppressed the urge to break up with her and casually agreed.
He had lost interest in browsing the internet. Might as well join the commotion.
Fang Ye immediately knew where his car was when he saw the crowd.
“Why are you following me?” He glanced at Wen Xin.
Wen Xin covered her mouth and giggled. “Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m here to see the car, not to follow you.”
“It’s just a sports car. What’s so special about it?” Fang Ye said nonchalantly.
“Mind your own business…” Wen Xin ignored him and walked ahead.
As they got closer, Fang Ye spotted his Veveno parked silently in its spot. Its wine-red, streamlined body exuded an air of elegance and ferocity, an absolute beast among the world’s limited-edition supercars!
Wen Xin was stunned when she saw the car. “Oh my god, isn’t this the initial edition of Veneno, one of only three in the world? The red one, numbered 001? It was supposed to be in Long Island—how did it end up in Huahai?”
“You sure know your cars,” Fang Ye chuckled.
Since there were so many people around, he had pushed his electric scooter into the area.
Even though Huahai had plenty of wealthy people, supercars worth tens of millions were still rare. The crowd eagerly snapped pictures with their phones, with some even daring to take selfies up close. But none of them touched the car—if they scratched the paint, they’d probably be eating mud pies for a year to pay for the damages.
“Zikai, that car is so cool!” The blonde-haired girl’s eyes gleamed.
“Of course, that’s a limited-edition Lambo. There are barely any in the country.” Zhang Zikai was puzzled. “The plate says it’s registered in Huahai, but I haven’t heard of any young master buying this car…”
“Fang Ye, take some pictures for me! I want to flex on my WeChat Moments and make my friends jealous!” Wen Xin took a few selfies but wasn’t satisfied, so she pleaded with him.
“Sure.” Fang Ye parked his electric scooter right next to the Veneno, making Wen Xin jump in alarm.
“Why are you parking there? What if you scratch it?!”
Not only her, but the whole crowd gasped in shock. They didn’t even dare to get too close, yet this food delivery guy casually parked his scooter next to the supercar?! If that thing tipped over, he wouldn’t be able to pay it off in ten years!
“Relax.” Fang Ye took her phone. “Hurry up and pose. I still have deliveries to make.”
Wen Xin had no choice but to strike a pose in front of the car.
She had to admit, her sweet smile paired well with the flashy supercar, instantly drawing even more attention.
“Something still feels off. Why don’t you sit on the hood?” Fang Ye teased while taking pictures.
“Are you crazy? If I damage it, even selling the internet café wouldn’t cover the cost!” Wen Xin almost laughed in frustration.
“Oh? So the Trenches Internet Café belongs to you?” Fang Ye waved it off. “Relax, you’re light, you won’t damage it. I’m sure the owner of this car won’t mind.”
“Fine.” Wen Xin was tempted. Biting her lip, she leaned against the Veneno.
But sitting directly on the hood? That felt too disrespectful, even for such a tempting car.
“Are you done yet? Hurry up and leave!”
As Fang Ye snapped photos, a group of well-dressed women pushed through the crowd, followed by two men carrying a banner.
Wen Xin, thinking they were the car’s owners, quickly stepped aside.
Fang Ye frowned. “We’re just taking pictures. How is that bothering you?”
The leading woman sneered when she saw his delivery uniform. “Do you even know how expensive this car is? You couldn’t afford it in five hundred years of deliveries! Get lost!”
“Sis, there’s an electric scooter here too. What should we do?” a companion asked.
“What else? Just toss it aside. It’s just a junky scooter!” the woman scoffed. “Alright, you two, hold up the banner. Everyone, get into position and smile naturally!”
After seeing what was written on the banner, Fang Ye and Wen Xin finally understood. They were dealing with a group of online sellers.
Fang Ye’s lips twitched as he recalled the viral “bought a bullet train” or “got a aircraft carrier” posts on social media.
These people had probably planned to take staged photos at a dealership but changed their minds after seeing the Veveno.
Seeing his scooter being moved, Fang Ye quickly intervened. “Stop! Put it down!”
“It’s yours?” Qian Li sneered. “Then move it. Don’t get in our way!”
“Alright.”
Fang Ye took his scooter and hooked it onto the rear of the Poison.
There was a small luggage rack there. Clearly, the system had thoughtfully prepared it for him. The scooter fit perfectly.
As he finished, the entire crowd was stunned. Wen Xin’s mouth dropped open.
“You… What the hell are you doing?!” Qian Li was livid.
She was here to stage a “Just Bought a Supercar” shoot—how was she supposed to explain an electric scooter in the pictures?!
With a caption saying ‘Thank You Dealership! for giving us a seventy percent new Electric Scooter as an extra?
Speaking of it, how come there’s a luggage rack on a sports car that costs at least 5 million???
“Like you asked. I’m driving it away.” Fang Ye smiled.
“Driving it away?” The online sellers hadn’t processed his words when Fang Ye pulled out a key.
As he pressed it, the Veneno’s headlights flickered, and its futuristic scissor doors lifted automatically.
“Please move out of the way!” He tossed his helmet onto the passenger seat, hopped into the car, and started the engine.
The Veneno roared to life, before merging into traffic. Vanishing in an instant, leaving Qian Li and her team utterly dumbfounded…
