The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 13
“You…” Song Feiyu took a deep breath and raised her hands in surrender.
Gu Yi finally dismounted her and reached out to straighten Song Feiyu’s slightly disheveled collar.
“Just remember that,” she said, then turned back to her books.
Off-camera, Gu Xuanyu’s face turned ashen. He had initially dismissed the incident as an accident, but now it seemed his own daughter had been the one to initiate the encounter.
Yet humans are often like this: even when they’re at fault, they refuse to admit it. Gu Xuanyu instinctively blamed Song Feiyu.
If this creature hadn’t been so alluring, Gu Yi would never have been drawn to her.
I should never have agreed to let Gu Yi leave the Imperial Capital. The moment I took my eyes off her, she hooked up with an Alpha.
“What do you think of her?” Gu Xuanyu turned to his children beside him. His eldest daughter, Gu Xueze, frowned slightly.
“She’s too indecisive. Someone like that would be easily controlled by Gu Yi, reduced to a useless decorative piece. Joining the Gu Family would offer no strategic advantage.”
She was evaluating the situation from the family’s perspective.
Gu Yan nodded in agreement.
“But since she’s already been marked, we have no choice but to capture her and use her as Gu Yi’s emotional pacifier.”
After hearing his children’s suggestions, Gu Xuanyu nodded slowly.
He said calmly, “You two are still too soft. There’s one way for an Omega to break free from an Alpha’s mark: the Alpha’s death.”
Due to the species’ instinct for survival, an Omega’s chances of successfully removing a mark increase dramatically after their bonded partner dies.
After all, with the Master of the pheromones gone, the pheromones’ influence on the Omega would weaken to the point of insignificance.
Hearing their father’s words, both siblings widened their eyes in disbelief.
The old fox was indeed the wiliest. Gu Xuanyu had earned his reputation for ruthlessness and cunning through genuine skill.
Outside the airship’s glass windows, the sky gradually darkened, revealing the city below ablaze with dazzling lights.
Gu Yi found the airship’s light switch and gently pressed it, plunging the cabin into darkness.
“What’s wrong?” Song Feiyu asked, though she had been taken away from the base, she was still diligently writing feedback for her trainees.
Now, with the sudden blackout, only the soft blue glow of her terminal illuminated the cabin.
“Turn it off,” Gu Yi whispered.
Song Feiyu obediently shut down her terminal. An Alpha’s superior physical capabilities allowed her to make out Gu Yi’s slender figure in the darkness.
Gu Yi’s smooth black hair cascaded over her shoulders, and even the loose shirt couldn’t conceal her alluring figure.
“Instructor Gu?” Song Feiyu rose, concerned that the Artificial Pheromone injection might be causing side effects. She approached Gu Yi and placed her hands on her shoulders, using the back of her hand to check Gu Yi’s forehead for fever.
“I’m fine,” Gu Yi said, grasping Song Feiyu’s wrist. “I turned off the lights because…”
Gu Yi tilted her head toward a corner of the cabin, her gaze fixed on something emitting a faint red glow.
Song Feiyu instantly understood. She reached out and found an electronic pen on the table.
With a flick of her wrist, she sent the pen flying through the air with a sharp whoosh.
The camera shattered.
“Gone,” Song Feiyu said, clapping her hands.
“But this will only get us discovered,” Gu Yi said, crossing her arms. She didn’t think destroying the camera was a good idea.
“So what if we’re discovered? It can’t get any worse.”
Gu Xuanyu already knew he had marked his daughter. Song Feiyu was doomed either way.
“I need your help with something.”
Gu Yi turned around, cupping Song Feiyu’s face in her palms. As she leaned closer, the faint jasmine scent washed over Song Feiyu, making her heart flutter.
“Don’t get so close,” Song Feiyu warned. “You’ll trigger my Heat.”
Since her glands had been destroyed, Song Feiyu hadn’t experienced Heat in over a decade.
But whether she had it or not didn’t matter. Living on suppressants was no better.
Yet now, an Omega kept crowding her space. Anyone would struggle to control themselves.
She wanted to wrap her arms around Gu Yi’s slender waist, yearned for the other woman’s glands, and felt an overwhelming urge to open her mouth, her teeth seeming to sharpen.
No, I can’t do this.
Song Feiyu bit her lip, desperately trying to regain her composure.
But in the next moment, she felt her tie being loosened. Her pale, flushed fingers tightened around Gu Yi’s cool, white palm.
“What are you doing?” she demanded, her voice fierce but lacking real authority.
“I need you to help me fake it,” Gu Yi whispered, her lips brushing Song Feiyu’s earlobe. The jasmine scent around them grew warm.
“After an Alpha dies, their pheromonal influence weakens, making it easier to erase the mark.”
Gu Yi’s fingertip traced Song Feiyu’s prominent collarbone.
“I suspect my father will resort to this tactic. Kill you, and solve everything permanently.”
Song Feiyu’s eyes widened in the darkness. After a moment’s consideration, she realized the plan was indeed viable.
“How do we fake it?” she asked, forcing her mind to clear. She took several deep breaths, her voice trembling.
She was barely holding on, the restlessness of her Heat surging through her brain.
Just as her rationality threatened to snap, a pair of crimson lips pressed against hers.
Song Feiyu froze, unsure how to react, but Gu Yi paid her no mind.
Gu Yi brazenly stole the air from Song Feiyu’s lungs, leaving her utterly bewildered.
Those cherry-pink lips were soft. After a long hesitation, Song Feiyu gently placed her fingers on Gu Yi’s back.
With no way to retreat, she would advance.
Having made her decision, she closed her eyes and returned the kiss.
The world spun as her back landed against the soft brocade quilt. Remembering her duty as an Alpha, Song Feiyu instinctively reached out to protect Gu Yi.
“How can I help you?” she asked, her breath still uneven.
Gu Yi leaned closer, her lips brushing Song Feiyu’s ear as she whispered slowly, “Just use your fingers.”
As night fell, the airship landed.
However, no one opened the cabin door, as everyone on board was sound asleep.
Gu Yi woke up early the next morning. She splashed cold water on her face to clear her head.
Then she retrieved the item she had asked someone to hide under the sink earlier.
It was a Weakness Potion, which had no effect other than making the drinker appear more tired and frail.
Yet it was a bestseller on the Interstellar Network. Many people took the potion, then falsely claimed to be sick to get paid sick leave. In reality, citizens of the Empire were remarkably healthy, with a very low probability of falling ill.
But with five days of paid sick leave per year, why not use them?
This explained the Weakness Potion’s massive popularity.
Gu Yi tore open the packaging and drank the potion straight from the bottle.
Song Feiyu had lost her ability to mark Alphas, but Gu Yi needed to make her father believe she couldn’t live without her.
She had to act the part perfectly.
Moreover, when they disembarked from the airship, Song Feiyu would have to carry her.
Otherwise, her beloved Captain might be shot dead on the spot.
