The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 14
Song Feiyu groggily opened her eyes, taking a moment to remember where she was. She sat up, her lower back aching fiercely—no surprise, considering Gu Yi had clung to her waist all night.
This body was no longer what it used to be. Song Feiyu felt a dull ache in her previously injured joints.
She glanced at her knees, noticing the surgical scars. These weren’t just on her knees; nearly every major joint bore similar marks.
Enduring the creaking and popping of her joints and bones, Song Feiyu picked up her clothes from the floor and dressed.
Just as she fastened the top button of her shirt, the bathroom door swung open, and Gu Yi emerged, looking utterly exhausted.
“What’s wrong?” Song Feiyu asked, rushing to support her. The faint lavender scent helped clear her head.
“I took a weakness potion,” Gu Yi admitted, leaning against the wall as she shuffled to the bed and collapsed onto it. “Hurry up. We have to act later.”
Remembering their plan from the previous night, Song Feiyu nodded and went to brush her teeth.
But as soon as she squeezed toothpaste onto her brush, she noticed a distinct mark on her lip.
Sighing in resignation, she had to open her mouth wider than usual to avoid irritating the wound while brushing.
Gu Yi’s teeth were far too sharp—much sharper than those of an average Omega.
The bite was excruciating. Song Feiyu painstakingly finished brushing her teeth before finally emerging from the airship.
Outside, a massive crowd had already gathered.
They stood armed with laser cannons, clad in black uniforms, all to prevent Gu Yi from escaping.
Though Gu Yi was the Gu Family’s esteemed young lady, she had never given her father a moment’s peace. A single lapse in vigilance, and the little rabbit would bolt, vanishing without a trace.
People say a cunning rabbit has three burrows, but with Gu Yi’s temperament, she’d need at least nine.
The airport wind whipped through the crowd, their robes billowing in the chilly morning air.
Yet their faces remained resolute, all eyes fixed on the airship, awaiting a single person.
The airship door hissed open.
In that instant, every breath in the crowd hitched.
On the rooftops of distant skyscrapers, a dozen snipers lay prone, their satellite-assisted scopes trained on the hatch.
The moment the Alpha stepped out, a bullet would pierce her skull.
Forcing the young lady to witness her beloved’s death before her eyes would be a fitting punishment.
Gu Xuanyu had meticulously planned this move, but he underestimated his own daughter. Gu Yi, being his flesh and bl00d, was far from foolish.
The snipers’ hearts remained steady. They were veterans, having slaughtered hundreds, if not thousands, of Zerg.
Yet when the figure finally emerged, everyone froze in shock.
Song Feiyu emerged, cradling Gu Yi in her arms as she slowly descended the airship’s steps.
Her posture was ramrod straight, yet for some reason, her legs trembled slightly with each step.
Gu Yi, looking frail, clung to Song Feiyu’s neck, her cheek pressed tightly against Song Feiyu’s.
The two were pressed so close together that any sniper shot would be nearly impossible, especially with their heads pressed together.
Gu Yi’s other arm was wrapped around Song Feiyu’s neck, almost completely covering her head.
The message was clear: You can’t kill her.
“Why haven’t you fired yet?” Gu Xuanyu demanded, watching the pair descend the airship steps.
“If we shoot, we can’t guarantee Miss Gu Yi’s safety,” the sniper team leader replied.
Even with a high probability of success, he dared not risk it. What if something went wrong?
The Alpha wasn’t important, but if Gu Yi were harmed, they’d all be finished.
Gu Xuanyu fell silent, his eyes fixed on the screen, seething with rage.
He had reviewed Song Feiyu’s classified file earlier and was surprised to find it marked as top-secret.
But when he learned she was the Captain of the Fleet, everything clicked into place.
After all, Gu Yi had defied her family’s wishes and joined the Fleet, using her sister’s name and appearance to enlist.
The Fleet she had enlisted in was precisely that one.
But Song Feiyu was no top-tier Alpha!
Her official records described her as an utterly ordinary, low-quality Alpha. How, then, had Huo Bing reported such advanced pheromones?
Currently, there was only one logical explanation: Artificial Pheromones.
“Does she really like her that much? Enough to inject herself with Artificial Pheromones?”
Gu Xuanyu took a slow sip of his hot tea, watching Gu Yi’s frail yet defiant expression on the monitor.
He said nothing.
Some people never learn until they hit a brick wall.
“A’Ham.”
Gu Xuanyu called out, activating his private channel to contact his assistant.
“Master, I’m here.”
Ji Ham stood in the wind, watching Song Feiyu approach him at a leisurely pace. He nodded.
“Find a few Omegas Instructor Song likes. Handle the rest yourself, but make sure Yi Yi isn’t too heartbroken.”
“Understood, Master.”
Ji Ham nodded, letting the wind scatter his white hair.
It seemed Master would never approve of Song Feiyu.
Ji Ham didn’t mind. He believed that as long as Miss liked her, whether she was a “useless Alpha” or not didn’t matter.
After all, he wasn’t of noble birth. But Gu Xuanyu was, and the aristocracy had an almost pathological obsession with bloodlines.
While Song Feiyu could barely be considered minor nobility, among the top-tier aristocratic families, she was nothing more than a fallen house—no different from a commoner.
Shortly after disembarking from the airship, the two women settled into a hovercar, bound for the Gu Family estate.
Gu Yi had shed her earlier feigned weakness the moment she stepped into the car, her energy restored. The debilitating potion had little lasting effect on her resilient constitution.
“Looks like our plan worked,” Gu Yi declared triumphantly.
“You were practically glued to me. Your dad wouldn’t dare shoot with you so close,” Song Feiyu replied with a smile.
Only she knew how precarious those few steps had been. With her Alpha’s keen vision, Song Feiyu had clearly seen the dozen or so dark gun barrels trained on them from the skyscraper’s rooftop.
“But…”
“If the debilitating potion could solve everything, why did you have to…”
Song Feiyu trailed off mid-sentence, unable to bring herself to admit that she, an Alpha, had been seduced by an Omega.
“Exactly, I lied to you,” Gu Yi said, nodding. Without a second thought for whether the driver was present, she turned around and sat directly on Song Feiyu’s lap.
She tilted Song Feiyu’s chin with her finger, her dark eyes brimming with smug satisfaction.
“Instructor Song, you’re stronger than I thought.”
She had assumed that Song Feiyu’s body, ravaged by laser cannon fire, wouldn’t last an hour. She had approached the situation with a sense of inevitable disappointment, but Song Feiyu had proven surprisingly resilient.
Just as Gu Yi was about to offer more praise, Song Feiyu covered her mouth.
“There’s someone here. Let’s talk privately,” Song Feiyu said, her cheeks flushing and her voice softening.
“What’s there to be afraid of? Our every move is being monitored,” Gu Yi retorted, her tone dismissive. “Even without the driver, countless eyes are watching.”
Gu Yi remained utterly unconcerned.
