The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 16
Song Feiyu didn’t use much force, afraid of hurting Gu Yi. But ultimately, she was an Alpha, and even with restraint, the pain from the pheromone injection was unavoidable.
Gu Yi frowned slightly, sensing the faint lavender scent.
Time stretched on slowly—one minute, two minutes…
Song Feiyu released her grip, her mouth filled with the jasmine scent. It felt as if she had accidentally plunged her face into a flowerbed, white petals dusting her nose, eyelashes, and eyelids.
Is this what an Omega smells like?
She had never experienced this before. Song Feiyu had been on dates with all sorts of Omegas, but none of them had ever made her feel like Gu Yi did.
Gu Yi appeared refined and elegant, but she was actually full of mischief.
Yet you couldn’t hate her, couldn’t even dislike her.
You could only willingly let her command you.
“Are you feeling better now?” Gu Yi asked, turning around. Song Feiyu nodded.
But her head was still spinning fiercely. Clutching her forehead, she murmured, “Come back soon.”
Gu Yi pushed open the door and hurried straight to the medical room.
After rummaging through various medications, she finally found a special Alpha-specific remedy and rushed back. In her haste, she tripped.
The medicine bottle slipped from Gu Yi’s hand and rolled into a corner.
As she bent down to retrieve it, an aged hand reached out first.
“Ji Ham?” Gu Yi asked, her eyes wary. This man was her father’s right-hand man, the one who had undoubtedly helped Huo Bing mobilize so many forces to capture her.
Gu Yi snatched the bottle from his hand without a word of thanks.
“Third Miss,” Ji Ham said earnestly, “you can’t tether a wild horse. Song Feiyu would give up even the honor of being a fleet captain. Your status alone won’t bind her…”
“In Imperial Year 436, the Mount Siber and Flying Wing Mantis Fleets received orders to defend the Alber Star defense line to the death.”
“The Zerg forces were led by General Sisfen, the Queen’s favored pet, commanding nearly half of the Zerg’s military strength.”
“Faced with overwhelming odds, only Song Feiyu’s fleet survived among the three fleets.”
“To be precise, only she survived.”
“She is a hero against the Zerg invasion, a hero of the Empire. Yet she refused even the title personally bestowed by the Emperor…”
“Instead, she chose to alter her identity and retreat to a remote region.”
By the time the Battle of Alber Star’s Defense Belt erupted, Gu Yi had already been taken home by her father.
She wasn’t present at the battlefield, and perhaps it was fortunate she wasn’t—she might not have survived.
Ji Ham couldn’t fathom Song Feiyu’s true nature. He believed the Master’s “honey trap” scheme was doomed to fail, yet he dared not voice his concerns.
The Master had a volatile temper. Any further attempts to dissuade him would only be misconstrued as Ji Ham having been bribed by the Third Miss.
Song Feiyu’s original name was Song Yin.
Her statue still stands at the heart of Imperial Plaza, receiving countless flowers daily as fans flock to commemorate her.
After listening to Ji Ham’s lengthy harangue, Gu Yi merely nodded, signaling she understood.
“Third Miss…”
Ji Ham’s brow furrowed deeply, worried that the headstrong Third Miss hadn’t heeded his warnings.
“What you say has merit, but she simply chose to live in obscurity out of guilt.”
“Besides, what harm could a woman who was easily driven to mental instability by my sister possibly inflict on me?”
Gu Yi opened the door, completely unmoved by his advice.
Inside the room, Song Feiyu had already unbuttoned her coat, her blouse disheveled. Her long hair, draped over her shoulders, spread across the brocade quilt. She massaged her temples with both hands, trying to alleviate the pain from her neurological disorder.
Song Feiyu was already plagued by old injuries, and this latest episode had only worsened them. She felt a tightness in her chest and shortness of breath, nearly passing out.
Just then, a slightly cool hand gently patted her neck. The faint jasmine scent brought Song Feiyu a measure of relief.
“You’re back?” she rasped.
“Mm-hmm.”
“Take these.”
Gu Yi poured out a few pills and brought over a glass of water.
Song Feiyu struggled to sit up, stretching one leg straight while keeping the other slightly bent. She took the pills and water, swallowing them in one gulp before finishing the water.
“You’re so trusting,” Gu Yi remarked suddenly. “Aren’t you afraid I might poison you?”
Song Feiyu glanced up at her, a wry smile tugging at her lips. “If you did that, you’d be back at the matchmaking event tomorrow, just like your sister.”
The implication was clear: Gu Yi would become a young widow.
“That’s true,” Gu Yi conceded.
Gu Yi nodded.
Before they could rest for long, the doorbell rang again.
“At this hour, it must be my father,” Gu Yi said, glancing at the wall clock. She reached out, and Song Feiyu grasped her hand.
The drug’s effects hadn’t worn off completely, leaving Song Feiyu feeling slightly dizzy as she walked.
“How can I help you?” Song Feiyu asked, her arm around Gu Yi, her voice filled with concern.
She knew Gu Xuanyu would never approve of their relationship, even if he knew her true identity. To him, she was just a disabled commander, someone the Gu Family would never consider worthy.
“I’ll handle it myself. After all… I was the one who marked you first,” Gu Yi said, turning to meet Song Feiyu’s worried gaze, her words deliberate and firm.
“If you’re willing, I could ask my commanding officer for help. He’s the Queen’s brother, and he might be able to intervene…”
Before Song Feiyu could finish, Gu Yi silenced her with a sudden, urgent kiss.
The kiss was so swift and unexpected that Song Feiyu froze, blinking in stunned silence.
Compared to her first fall from the chair, Song Feiyu had clearly made progress.
She ultimately swallowed back the words she wanted to say, her fingers lightly resting on Gu Yi’s firm waist.
Tilting her head, she felt Gu Yi’s breath gently brush against her cheek.
Song Feiyu slowly responded.
As a commander, she had a knack for picking things up quickly.
Her learning ability was far from weak, and there were faint signs of her beginning to push back.
Sensing herself about to lose ground, Gu Yi swiftly withdrew.
Her original intention had merely been to distract Song Feiyu from the topic, but she hadn’t anticipated ruining the carefully constructed image she had worked so hard to maintain.
I told her I was the Alpha when we’re alone.
Song Feiyu gently rubbed her thumb across Gu Yi’s reddened lips.
“Alright, I won’t mention begging anymore.”
Gu Yi finally nodded.
“Next time, you’re not allowed to talk back.”
Her tone carried a hint of command, strikingly similar to the imperious officers Song Feiyu often encountered in meetings.
“What…”
Song Feiyu was completely taken aback by Gu Yi’s words, her surprise evident.
Then she shook her head, disapproving of the suggestion.
“That’s not fair.”
“Instructor Gu, you always say strength speaks for itself. You can’t weasel out of it now.”
Gu Yi hadn’t expected Song Feiyu to turn the tables on her like this. For the past few days, she had been the one tricking Song Feiyu, but today she had been outmaneuvered.
“But I’m not an Alpha,” Gu Yi protested. “How can an Alpha compete with their own Omega?”
Song Feiyu: ……
She had to admit, this person’s ability to weasel out of things far surpassed her own.
