The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 19
Song Feiyu nearly short-circuited at Gu Yi’s soft words. Her gaze lingered on the delicate curve of Gu Yi’s collarbone.
She reached out to embrace Gu Yi, careful not to squeeze too tightly.
Understanding her intent, Gu Yi tilted her head slightly, exposing her scent gland.
Gu Yi wasn’t particularly afraid of pain, but she savored the moment, inhaling the faint lavender scent that filled the air.
Song Feiyu felt her restless emotions finally quiet down, and she fell silent.
“Does it hurt?” she asked.
“Not much,” Gu Yi replied, shaking her head. After soaking a while longer, Gu Yi retraced her steps.
Song Feiyu remained behind, drying herself off, changing, and stepping out.
The bathhouse’s dressing room had a mirror. As Song Feiyu left, she paused to stare at her reflection.
Her eyes were rimmed with red, a look she’d never seen before.
The events of the past few days had been surreal, leaving Song Feiyu struggling to process them.
But since Gu Yi had chosen her, she couldn’t back down now. What was the Gu Family anyway? She hadn’t flinched on the battlefield—why should she cower before the powerful?
Song Feiyu pressed her lips into a firm line, her fingers clenching the cool porcelain sink.
She made up her mind.
Let them try their honey traps and divide-and-conquer schemes. As long as my heart remains steadfast, no tactic can sway me.
“Master, the man has been thrown out,” Ji Ham said, bowing respectfully as he addressed the man working at the mahogany desk.
“Song Yin has always had discerning taste. Did she choose someone vulgar?” Gu Xuanyu remained composed. He had already inquired about Song Feiyu and knew she was a tough nut to crack, even when she was still a captain. Now that she had finally latched onto Gu Yi, she wouldn’t leave easily. After all, Gu Yi was his heir.
“No, the man who was thrown out said the Third Miss is inside as well,” Ji Ham replied, straightening slightly, his tone growing more serious. “I suspect she slipped in through the secret passage.”
Gu Xuanyu slammed his pen down heavily and exhaled sharply. “Does she really like that low-quality Alpha so much?!”
Ji Ham remained silent, not daring to respond.
“Father, if you ask me, you’re not ruthless enough.”
The door opened, and Gu Xueze strode in. She was wearing her black uniform, her chest adorned with medals. As a staunch supporter of the Crown Princess faction, Gu Xueze was being transferred to the front lines against the Zerg today. She had come to report to her father before leaving, but instead, she stumbled upon this drama.
“Do you have a plan?”
Gu Xuanyu, who typically paid little attention to his children, suddenly perked up when Gu Xueze spoke.
“There’s a way to make Song Feiyu willingly leave Gu Yi,” she said.
Gu Xuanyu’s gaze locked onto Gu Xueze. “Tell me more.”
He had outwardly agreed to hold a wedding for Gu Yi, but his true intention was merely to stall for time, preventing his daughter from running off.
“It’s simple. The Crown Princess’s fleet has so many ships. It would be easy to have a captain take sick leave, then issue a transfer order to send Song Feiyu…”
Gu Xuanyu nodded thoughtfully, understanding immediately. “As the Crown Princess’s supervising officer, I’ll leave this matter to you.”
Gu Xueze nodded, but remained rooted to the spot, showing no intention of leaving.
“What is it now?” Gu Xuanyu asked.
“I want the estate on Bokhar Star.”
Gu Xuanyu raised an eyebrow. He knew his daughter was up to no good. Neither of his children ever gave him a moment’s peace. Fine, he thought. The estate on Bokhar Star had originally been part of the dowry for Gu Xueze and Gu Yan’s mother. Giving it back to her wouldn’t be a loss.
“If you handle this properly, the estate will naturally be yours.”
Only then did Gu Xueze turn and leave the room.
Having been abruptly taken away, Song Feiyu left behind a mountain of unresolved issues.
She still needed to call her colleagues regularly to check on the progress of her trainees.
She was currently chatting with several colleagues when Gu Yi, wearing a white shirt, walked past behind her. Song Feiyu made no attempt to hide the conversation, assuming news of their situation had already spread among her colleagues—after all, being caught in the bunker had been quite a spectacle.
“Is Instructor Gu really Gu Xuanyu’s daughter?” a colleague couldn’t resist asking, lowering her voice. Since Song Feiyu was using an in-ear communicator, the conversation wouldn’t be overheard.
There was no need to worry about Gu Yi hearing.
“Yes,” Song Feiyu confirmed with a nod. The expressions on her colleagues’ faces immediately became a kaleidoscope of emotions.
“You’ve gone from a plain chicken to a phoenix, Song Feiyu!”
If the bunker incident hadn’t occurred, Gu Xuanyu would likely never have acknowledged Song Feiyu. But once the marking event happened, Song Feiyu’s status as the Gu family’s son-in-law was undeniable.
What her colleagues didn’t know was that Song Feiyu had suffered an injury years ago, damaging her glands beyond repair. They simply assumed she had struck it rich beyond her wildest dreams.
“It’s nothing. Besides, the old man doesn’t even like me. It’s hardly a life of luxury.”
Song Feiyu shook her head, her unspoken bitterness evident.
She steered the conversation back to the students, her students.
Song Feiyu had always mentored several exceptional students. Now, having come to the Gu Family, she didn’t know when she’d be able to return.
She could only ask her colleagues to monitor their progress in the meantime.
As an instructor, Song Feiyu was remarkably dedicated.
Just as she hung up the phone, she noticed Gu Yi had somehow acquired a pile of liquor and was now playing bartender.
Gu Yi’s slender fingers gripped a cocktail glass, watching the ice cubes swirl in the liquid. Driven by some mischievous impulse, she added a dash of something else.
Gu Yi knew many Omega friends who, after marriage, became utterly dependent on their Alphas.
This had always disgusted her, but it wasn’t until she truly got to know Song Feiyu that she understood the allure.
Being conquered by an Alpha held no appeal for her. What she craved was to conquer Song Feiyu herself.
“The butler told me your sister is deploying tomorrow. You should drink less tonight, so you can get up early.”
Song Feiyu’s voice was gentle as she took the wine glass.
Her meaning was clear: she would drink half.
Mixed drinks were far more potent than ordinary alcohol, and Song Feiyu wasn’t confident she could handle more.
“No, my relationship with my sister isn’t good,” Gu Yi said, shaking her head to indicate she wouldn’t get up to see her off.
“When family rifts appear, they need mending. You both need to take a step back,” Song Feiyu advised softly.
“You talk big,” Gu Yi said, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow at Song Feiyu. “But if you can finish this glass, I’ll agree to see Gu Xueze off tomorrow.”
Even though this was Gu Yi’s own family matter, she was making such an unreasonable demand. If this had been one of her subordinates, Song Feiyu would have frowned and smashed the glass on the floor.
This was her bottom line.
But…
But the person before her now was different. She was her girlfriend, someone she needed to cherish and protect.
So she reached out and took the glass. The ice had already begun to melt, and cold water dripped onto her palm.
“You said it,” Song Feiyu said, gazing into Gu Yi’s deep, dark eyes. She tilted her head back and drained the glass in one gulp.
