The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 24
The Flying Ship reeked of bl00d. Sisfen, clad in his navy-blue uniform, observed the carnage with detached indifference.
“Hmph, some petty Interstellar Pirates daring to attack us? They really overestimate themselves.”
His golden hair, thick and soft, framed a face with sharp, angular features. His golden eyes burned like twin suns, resembling the elegant sculptures of ancient architecture.
No wonder he had earned the Zerg Queen’s enduring favor.
“Commander, unidentified aircraft detected ahead!” a Zerg soldier reported urgently.
“Whose scouts are they?” Sisfen crossed his arms, intending to have his Zerg forces seize the enemy ships. Though dilapidated, the vessels had been well-modified, equipped with state-of-the-art cannons. They would suffice for transporting Zerg supplies.
“Unknown, but their aircraft resemble Imperial designs,” the soldier replied respectfully.
“The Empire?” Sisfen’s eyes narrowed slightly, a smile curving his lips. “Excellent. It seems they’ve finally discovered us.”
Having roamed the Empire’s space territories for over half a month, Sisfen was thrilled to finally encounter living targets. He felt the Zerg bl00d in his veins begin to boil.
He strode out of the Flying Ship, casually tossed aside his outer robe, and leaped into the void. In an instant, he transformed into a colossal Zerg creature.
Its foreclaws were razor-sharp, and its body was half the size of a Flying Ship. The Zerg’s dominance across the cosmos stemmed largely from their ability to freely navigate space.
Combined with their impenetrable exoskeletons, which shrugged off conventional artillery fire, their raw physical prowess rivaled the advanced weaponry of other civilizations, showcasing their formidable strength.
The colossal insect hurtled through space at breakneck speed, its movements too swift for standard cameras to capture, leaving only a dark blur in its wake.
“Calling 03, I sense something near my aircraft!”
Song Feiyu’s scouts, seasoned veterans of countless battlefields, immediately detected the anomaly and alerted their partner.
“08 received. I’m picking up something too!”
“We’ve been compromised! Initiate immediate retreat!”
The two scouts scrambled to retreat, but it was too late. Sisfen had already discovered them.
His razor-sharp claws pierced through the aircraft’s iron door, sending sparks flying.
“I’ve been caught! 08, get out of here!”
For scouts captured while gathering intelligence, there was only one likely fate.
03 took a deep breath, finally making out the approaching enemy. The creature had a triangular head and four bl00d-red compound eyes that locked onto him with unwavering intensity.
The claws slowly, methodically sliced through the aircraft’s hull.
“Aaaaaaaah!”
A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the comms, but 08 could only grit his teeth and push the aircraft’s thrusters to their maximum output.
Song Feiyu leaned against the headboard, her fingers still flying across the terminal screen. Several flying ship captains had already sent her messages.
The gist of their replies was clear: the distance was too great. Even with wormhole jumps, it would take at least ten days for reinforcements to arrive.
But battles rarely allow for such lengthy preparations.
They unfold in the blink of an eye.
Rubbing her tired eyes, Song Feiyu skipped past those messages and sent a direct message to Gu Xueze.
She repeatedly emphasized the gravity of the situation, hoping to avoid a direct confrontation.
Engaging the Zerg with outdated equipment would be like throwing oneself into a tiger’s den.
“Why aren’t you asleep yet?” Gu Yi yawned, her hand resting on Song Feiyu’s abdomen. She was wearing a thin silk camisole.
Song Feiyu’s abdomen bore scars, though they were faint after prolonged medical treatment. The faint ridges were still palpable.
The scars likely came from being pierced by an electronic laser cannon. Song Feiyu was fortunate to have survived.
“Just handling some urgent matters,” Song Feiyu replied.
Song Feiyu shut down the terminal, looked at Gu Yi, and gently patted her shoulder.
“Gu Yi, I need to discuss something with you…”
Song Feiyu felt a pang of guilt as she spoke. She didn’t want to do this, but she was genuinely terrified of something happening to Gu Yi.
“Mm, go ahead. I’m listening,” Gu Yi nodded.
Though her eyes were closed, she wasn’t asleep. She inhaled the faint lavender pheromone emanating from Song Feiyu.
Her legs instinctively pressed together.
Gu Yi felt she was becoming too attached to this kind of thing, but it was an Omega’s nature.
She simply wanted to cling to Song Feiyu, and even a few seconds apart felt unbearable.
“You should go back to the Gu Family first. I’m worried about your saf—”
Song Feiyu began slowly, but before she could finish, Gu Yi’s eyes snapped open, and she abruptly rolled over.
She loomed over Song Feiyu, her dark eyes flickering with a hidden fire.
“Are you trying to get rid of me?”
Gu Yi lowered her head, lunging toward Song Feiyu. The jasmine scent surged uncontrollably, flooding the air.
Song Feiyu was immediately affected. She wasn’t wearing a pheromone patch, and her own pheromones were weak, leaving her with no defense.
“That’s not what I meant. I just don’t want you in dangerous situations…”
Song Feiyu’s words grew slower as she struggled to regulate her body with deep breaths.
Despite her efforts, her skin flushed crimson. It was clear the Omega’s pheromones had triggered the Alpha’s Heat.
Strands of her slightly curled hair fell across her eyes. Song Feiyu knew the only way to suppress an Omega was to force them into submission.
But she refused. Gu Yi deserved freedom, not coercion.
“Then you should treat me fairly. I’m not some delicate noble lady. I’ve been to battlefields, I’ve piloted aircraft.”
“Song Feiyu, I’m not some sheltered girl who’s never left home.”
Song Feiyu looked at Gu Yi, knowing she spoke the truth. But why couldn’t her wild rose understand?
This wasn’t about individual strength; it was about the environment.
Even the sturdiest copper walls and iron ramparts will inevitably deform under the impact of a bomb.
Song Feiyu straightened slightly, reaching out to embrace Gu Yi. She felt the other woman’s slightly warm skin and the rise and fall of her emotions.
“Alright, you can stay with me. You don’t have to go back to the Gu Family.”
Song Feiyu’s concession seemed too swift, surprising Gu Yi.
She hadn’t expected her mild pique to yield such immediate results. She’d braced herself for at least a few days of cold war.
Her eyes narrowed into a smile.
“Then swear it.”
Song Feiyu nodded, raising four fingers.
“I swear on my family’s name that I will never send you back. You will stay by my side forever.”
Completely satisfied now, Gu Yi reached out to rub Song Feiyu’s earlobe.
“That’s more like it.”
“I’m not some spineless cripple who’ll just hold you back. I have plenty of skills. I can even design Flying Ships.”
Ever since the Coburn Big Bang, Gu Yi had been strictly forbidden by her father from ever approaching the dangerous space front lines again.
Instead, she obediently attended the Noble Omega Academy. But Gu Yixian couldn’t stand the idleness and eventually chose to withdraw from the academy herself.
She enrolled in the First Imperial Fleet Academy, where she studied Flying Ship design.
