The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 25
Song Feiyu was utterly captivated by Gu Yi’s proud, leopard-like expression.
With a gentle nod, she leaned closer, her cool, thin lips brushing against Gu Yi’s delicate, pink corner of her mouth.
Gu Yi felt as if she were savoring a soft, sweet lavender pastry. She parted her lips, silently accepting the kiss.
Her entire focus shifted, her hand finding Song Feiyu’s long, strong fingers and slowly tightening her grip.
Song Feiyu allowed Gu Yi to hold her hand, gradually relaxing her own grip. Meanwhile, her other hand quietly moved to the back of Gu Yi’s neck.
“You want pheromones?”
Gu Yi pulled back slightly, a faint smile playing in her eyes.
“Mm-hmm,” Song Feiyu nodded.
“Alright, I’ll give them to you.”
Gu Yi straightened up, preparing to release her pheromones, when suddenly darkness enveloped her vision. Her body went limp, and she collapsed forward.
Song Feiyu caught Gu Yi tightly, cradling her close with a pang of tenderness.
She sighed softly, her voice filled with remorse. “Gu Yi, I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me.”
“I just don’t want to lose anyone important to me again.”
During the Alber Star Defense Belt battle, Song Feiyu had lost nearly everything—her comrades, the partners she considered family.
Alone, she had shouldered the burden of survival.
Song Feiyu scooped Gu Yi into her arms, opened the hatch, and strode out.
She could imagine Gu Yi’s furious reaction upon waking, but there was no better option at the moment. If Gu Yi wanted to fight or curse her later, she could find Song Feiyu after this was all over.
The Captain was the heart of the Fleet, so every Captain was equipped with the Empire’s most advanced aircraft.
This was to ensure their survival in critical moments, as the cost of training a Captain was nearly equivalent to building a Flying Ship.
Song Feiyu used Iris Scan to unlock the aircraft stored deep within the Flying Ship. The aircraft was small, barely large enough for one person.
She placed Gu Yi inside and set the flight destination to the nearest Imperial outpost.
As she was about to close the cockpit, Song Feiyu hesitated. She removed the badge she always wore on her chest and placed it in Gu Yi’s palm.
Finally, she gently kissed the tip of Gu Yi’s nose.
Then, she activated the autopilot program and watched as the cockpit slowly sealed shut. Song Feiyu closed her eyes.
Several hours had passed, and Gu Xueze still hadn’t sent her a message.
Song Feiyu could guess what this meant, but she couldn’t retreat, especially without orders from above.
Song Feiyu had never been a deserter.
Gu Yi opened her eyes, her neck throbbing with pain as if she’d been struck hard and knocked unconscious.
She blinked, disoriented, and found herself in a cramped escape pod.
Through the blast-resistant glass, she saw only the vast, empty expanse of space.
A realization dawned on her. She remembered being in bed with Song Feiyu, their bodies entwined, just before she’d blacked out.
The culprit was obvious.
“Song Feiyu…”
“You dare do this to me? You’re dead!”
Furious, Gu Yi wanted to turn the escape pod around and kill Song Feiyu, but she had no idea where she was.
She could only stare blankly at the pod’s navigation coordinates. The nearest Empire outpost was now within range.
I’ll have to land there first and figure out how to get back.
With her decision made, Gu Yi pressed the full-throttle button. She glared at the badge in her palm, biting her lip until it bled.
Partners should trust each other. How could Song Feiyu just shove me thousands of miles away like this?
With some time remaining before the aircraft reached the outpost, Gu Yi activated the signal receiver to listen to Empire news channels.
Bored and wanting to hear some news to calm her nerves, she tuned in.
Little did she know, the news broadcast would feature the very person she was most concerned about.
“At approximately 2:00 PM today, Imperial Flying Ships engaged Zerg forces while hunting down remnants of the Interstellar Pirates. The Zerg, led by General Sisfen, were discovered wreaking havoc within Imperial space. A standoff has ensued…”
The news bulletin was brief, but its ominous tone was unmistakable.
“Sisfen…”
Gu Yi’s eyes instantly lost their luster, as if veiled by a thin mist.
She knew all too well that Sisfen was the mastermind behind the battle at the Alber Star Defense Belt.
“No, I have to go back…”
Gu Yi tugged at her hair in frustration, but she also knew she couldn’t accomplish anything alone. Her gaze fixed on the approaching planetary outpost.
With a surge of determination, she poured the reserve fuel into the propulsion system, desperate to reach the outpost as quickly as possible.
Inside the Imperial Sun Flying Ship, Po Ye sat regally in her exquisite royal attire. Golden silk threads embroidered countless sun blossoms, each blooming to its fullest glory.
Legend held that golden sun blossoms were tears shed by the Sun God himself. The Empire revered the Sun God, and the royal crest naturally featured the sun blossom as its emblem.
Po Ye crossed her legs, her long, flowing golden hair tied back with a black satin ribbon. She gazed at the urgent letters piled before her.
“Are you willing to jeopardize my fleet for personal matters?” Po Ye’s golden eyes fixed on Gu Xueze, her tone unreadable.
“Yes. I want Song Feiyu dead.”
Gu Xueze approached and knelt before Po Ye.
“Why? Song Yin is a hero of the Empire.”
Po Ye couldn’t comprehend. She knew Gu Xueze resented her sister, but involving Song Yin in this was unnecessary.
“Because she can bring happiness to Gu Yi.” Gu Xueze lowered her gaze.
“My sister always wore a smile, but it was a false one. I knew she had never truly smiled from the heart. But ever since she defied Father, used my name to join the Flying Ship Fleet, everything changed…”
“She became madly infatuated with that inferior Alpha, willingly giving her everything.”
Gu Yi frowned.
“I hate seeing her demean herself like that. But I hate seeing her happy even more.”
“Someone with such base bl00d, a sister of illegitimate birth, shouldn’t be allowed to experience joy.”
“She and her mother caused my mother so much suffering. She doesn’t deserve happiness either.”
Po Ye remained silent for a long moment.
Though not the emperor’s only daughter, her maternal clan’s power ensured her position as crown princess remained as stable as Mount Tai.
“I’ll help you this time,” Po Ye said, gazing at Gu Xueze. She beckoned.
Gu Xueze habitually unbuttoned her uniform and leaned in slowly.
“But as always, you must please me.”
Po Ye lowered her gaze, extending her hand as if bestowing a favor.
Gu Xueze gently kissed it.
“I understand, Your Highness.”
Po Ye harbored a secret: she was an Omega, a fact hidden by her mother, uncle, and maternal grandfather.
Unlike Gu Yi’s casual pretense, revealing Po Ye’s true nature would lead to irreversible ruin.
Thus, she needed someone—a puppet to help her through her Heat, a tool who knew her secret but wouldn’t influence her decisions.
