The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 26
In space, there was no sunlight. The Sun God’s radiance couldn’t penetrate the cosmos. Po Ye felt utterly drained. When she opened her eyes, Gu Xueze had vanished.
Only the faint scent of camphor pheromones lingering in the bedding told Po Ye that Gu Xueze had slept there that night.
However, Po Ye was never one for reason.
Her temper had always been fierce. Reaching for the terminal on the mattress, she immediately dialed Gu Xueze’s personal communication channel.
Po Ye had modified Gu Xueze’s channel so she could always reach her, no matter the circumstances.
“Where are you?” Po Ye’s voice was hoarse, perhaps a consequence of overexerting herself the previous night.
As she held up the terminal, she noticed mottled marks stretching from her wrist to her elbow, like vibrant roses climbing her arm, each blooming flower carrying an ambiguous allure.
Just as she finished speaking, the sound of dripping water reached her ears, the two voices overlapping in her mind.
“Your Highness, I’m here.”
Gu Xueze emerged from the shower room, drying her long hair with a white towel. She wasn’t wearing a robe, seeing no need for one.
Po Ye hung up the call.
Her golden eyes gleamed faintly as she reached out her hand.
Gu Xueze immediately dropped the towel and wrapped her arms around Po Ye.
“Can you still release pheromones?”
The reason the imperial family was the imperial family was that every rank within it surpassed ordinary people. Even the highest-ranking nobles could only aspire to become top-tier Alphas.
Ke Po Ye was undoubtedly a top-tier Alpha, and satisfying her needs was no simple task.
“I can,” Gu Xueze replied.
Her arms were already growing weak, and even her pheromone production was struggling to keep up. Yet she nodded.
This was her duty. Her love for Your Highness stemmed not from self-interest, but from the moment she first laid eyes on the ethereal girl in the imperial palace as a child. From that instant, she had been utterly captivated.
Gu Xueze understood, however, that in Po Ye’s eyes, she was merely a pawn.
She could be her lover, her loyal guard, or her minister, but never her empress.
Because Po Ye was an Alpha—the Empire’s Alpha.
Po Ye reached out, her fingers as smooth as mutton-fat jade, gently cupping Gu Xueze’s cheek. She drew the other woman closer and pressed an eager kiss against her lips.
She relished Gu Xueze’s obedience, watching the usually impeccable woman, so composed in public, transform into a docile puppy in her presence.
Having such a person as her subject was far more amusing than dealing with those stuffy old scholars and relics of the past. After all, those elders reeked only of old age, their pheromones long faded.
Gu Xueze tilted her head back, passively enduring the kiss. Without Your Highness’s explicit command, she dared not act on her own. Every move required Po Ye’s direction, lest she face punishment.
Another night of pleasure filled the chamber.
Gu Yi was immediately surrounded upon landing, but the Starpost personnel recognized the aircraft as the Captain’s escape vehicle, so the Station Chief quickly arrived.
“Contact Minister Curry for me,” Gu Yi said, clutching the Captain’s badge. The badge itself was lightweight, merely a symbol of Song Feiyu’s honor.
She tucked the badge into her pocket and produced the Gu Family Crest.
The Station Chief’s eyes widened, puzzled as to why a member of the Gu Family would contact the Curry Family.
“But…”
Before he could protest, Gu Yi had already left.
“Do you have any mecha here?” Gu Yi asked, scrutinizing the white mecha undergoing training. She frowned.
These were all outdated models. How could she rescue anyone wearing this? The Zerg would tear her to shreds in seconds.
Gu Yi knew her father wouldn’t help rescue Song Feiyu, nor would he send reinforcements. Her only hope for survival lay in seeking assistance elsewhere.
While the Station Chief contacted Minister Curry to request reinforcements, Gu Yi first called her close friend.
“What’s up?” a woman’s languid voice drifted through the comm channel.
“My dear friend, I need your help with something today.”
Gu Yi knew the layout of Empire Starposts. The newest mecha were typically stored underground, requiring a password or iris scan for access.
Gu Yi’s iris was registered in the security database, allowing her seamless access to the mecha hangar. Her eyes immediately fell upon the deep black mecha.
Towering and imposing, it stood at least ten meters tall.
A blade forged from Obsidian Sun Metal hung from one of the mecha’s arms. This rare alloy could slice through Zerg like butter.
This was an exceptionally rare mecha, with only about a hundred units in the entire Empire.
Gu Yi was immensely satisfied.
However, her security clearance wasn’t high enough to unlock it. For now, she could only gaze at the mecha, her mind racing with plans to acquire this Obsidian Metal machine.
“What’s wrong? I heard you’ve been head over heels for an Alpha lately, nearly tearing the house down for her.”
The woman reclined on a plush cushion, gracefully turning over as she sipped her afternoon tea.
“Gu Xueze sent her to space. Now Song Feiyu is facing Zerg attacks, and I have to rescue her,” Gu Yi explained patiently.
“Come on, I advise you to find a better Alpha. You know your sister’s temperament—with the Crown Princess backing her, killing Song Feiyu would be child’s play.”
“I don’t care,” Gu Yi said, taking a deep breath. “She saved me, and I’m going to save her too.”
“Besides, she’s my Alpha.”
Hearing Gu Yi’s resolute tone, her best friend abandoned any intention of pouring cold water on her plan and straightened up slightly.
“How can I help you?”
“Get the Curry Family to send reinforcements. You can let the Second Prince know about this. Song Feiyu’s identity isn’t a secret; Your Majesty knows.”
“The Crown Princess helping my sister is like digging her own grave.”
After all, executing meritorious officials was a major taboo, especially when the heir apparent bypassed the emperor and took matters into their own hands.
It was the ultimate taboo.
Miss Curry quickly understood and nodded.
“Oh, there’s one more thing.”
“Tell me. I’ll help if I can, especially since you’ve brought useful information to the Curry Family.”
Gu Yi gazed at the black mecha, her eyes narrowing.
“I need the access codes for the Obsidian Mecha at Starpost 820.”
“Wait here.”
Miss Curry nodded, cut off the communication, and went to find her father.
Gu Yi stroked the cold mecha, images flashing through her mind—especially the moment Song Feiyu stood before her in her mecha, shielding her.
“Idiot…”
Clutching the medal, Gu Yi couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.
Soon, Miss Curry sent the codes. Gu Yi glanced at the complex sequence, then calmly entered it.
“What are you doing?!”
“This is the starpost’s most important weapon!” the Station Chief shouted, scrambling after her. But Gu Yi had already cracked the code, stepped onto the mecha, and jumped into the cockpit.
“I have to rescue my wife, Station Chief. I’ll borrow this for a few days and return it,” Gu Yi called out, leaning out of the closing cockpit door.
Then she piloted the mecha away.
