The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 28
Song Feiyu’s collar was open as Gu Yi patiently applied medicine and bandaged her wounds.
As reinforcements poured in, the battle intensified. However, the Curry Family had come well-prepared, and the two sides fought to a stalemate.
Severely wounded, Song Feiyu couldn’t return to the battlefield. She struggled to contact her Executive Officer, directing the remnants of her Flying Ship crew to help eliminate the escaped Zerg.
Gu Yi had rushed here without spare clothes. She could only remove her black jacket.
“Put this on,” Gu Yi said, but her hands moved faster than her words, draping the jacket over Song Feiyu.
The delicate jasmine scent filled the air. Song Feiyu glanced at Gu Yi, noticing she was now only wearing a thin white shirt. She shook her head.
“I’m not that weak yet…”
Song Feiyu tried to remove the jacket, but Gu Yi pressed it down firmly.
“Just wear it. Your Captain’s uniform is soaked in bl00d.”
With that, Gu Yi tossed the bloodstained uniform into a corner.
“Yes, ma’am,” Song Feiyu replied, giving a salute of compliance as she obediently put on the jacket.
After some maneuvering, the battle finally stabilized.
The Curry Family took Song Feiyu into their custody. Due to her severe injuries, she was placed under strict protection.
Gu Yi stayed with Song Feiyu. After Song Feiyu’s wounds were treated a second time, she was almost entirely wrapped in bandages, looking like she’d been thoroughly beaten up.
Which, in a way, was true—though the beating had come from the Zerg.
By the time Song Feiyu emerged from the infirmary after midnight, it was already late. She saw Gu Yi sitting outside, waiting for her, and felt a pang of guilt.
“Let’s go,” Song Feiyu said, extending her hand, even though it was also bandaged. The strong medicinal scent clinging to her nearly masked the lavender fragrance.
“No, I’m not sleeping with you tonight,” Gu Yi replied, shaking her head. She stood up, clasped her hands behind her back, and turned around, her hair carrying a faint jasmine scent.
Song Feiyu’s gaze involuntarily followed her movements.
“Why not?” Song Feiyu asked, her voice tinged with a hint of desperation, a feeling of panic rising within her for the first time. She wondered if Gu Yi was still angry about being driven away earlier and moved closer, reaching out to wrap her arms around Gu Yi’s waist.
But Gu Yi deftly evaded her embrace.
“There’s no reason,” Gu Yi said. “You’re covered in injuries. What if I accidentally bump into them?”
Her tone wasn’t impatient, but her entire demeanor radiated resistance. This sudden shift in her behavior left Song Feiyu completely bewildered.
“I’m not that fragile. My bones aren’t broken, so why would it hurt?”
Song Feiyu didn’t understand.
But Gu Yi had already walked away.
After much deliberation, Song Feiyu still felt she should apologize for knocking Gu Yi unconscious in bed that day, even though she had already apologized once.
So she slowly followed after Gu Yi, her steps deliberately slow. Lost in thought, Gu Yi didn’t notice the tail trailing behind her.
Gu Yi arrived at the temporary resting room, entered the passcode, and Song Feiyu silently memorized the sequence of her finger presses.
She stood against the wall, waiting. Time passed slowly after Gu Yi entered the room.
Song Feiyu had been standing outside the door for over an hour. This was nothing to her; during training, she often had to stand under the scorching sun for hours.
You can’t immediately try to coax an angry Omega. You have to wait for a while, until their anger has subsided slightly.
Only then can you slowly approach them with soothing words, which is the most effective way to calm them down.
Song Feiyu had heard this from a former comrade. Back then, she had no Omega and paid no attention to such courtship tactics.
But she never imagined that this casual advice would become her lifeline.
When the light outside the resting room dimmed, Song Feiyu finally approached. The light outside the resting room indicated whether the person inside had turned the lights on or off.
This was merely a small device to alert those outside whether the occupant was asleep, preventing disturbances to those resting.
Song Feiyu didn’t knock, fearing Gu Yi might lock her out.
Following the sequence she had just observed, Song Feiyu tried the passcode a few times, and the door clicked open.
A nightlight still glowed inside. Gu Yi lay on the bed, perhaps too preoccupied to hear the cabin door open.
She unbuttoned her shirt, her eyes closed. The room was thick with the intense fragrance of jasmine. Several vials of artificial pheromones lay within reach, but Gu Yi only sniffed them, not injecting any.
Having tasted real meat, how could she ever settle for these soy- or mushroom-based imitations again?
But…
She couldn’t trouble Song Feiyu any further tonight. With such severe injuries and her frail frame, she likely couldn’t endure any more strain.
Gu Yi had to sleep in a separate room.
Otherwise, this Heat, triggered by the excessive artificial pheromones, would affect Song Feiyu. Gu Yi was about to inject a vial of artificial pheromones.
Just then, she suddenly noticed someone standing beside her bed.
“Song Feiyu?”
Gu Yi assumed it was just a hallucination brought on by her Heat. This was normal; marked Omegas often experienced such illusions.
“I’m here,” Song Feiyu replied.
Seeing Gu Yi’s flushed face, Song Feiyu instantly understood why the other woman had been so distant earlier. A pang of sympathy struck her. She knelt down and placed her hand on Gu Yi’s forehead.
“Why didn’t you let me help you?”
Even though she was a “useless Alpha” who had lost her marking ability, that didn’t mean she was completely incapable.
“My glands are damaged, not my hands,” Song Feiyu said, blinking with a hint of helplessness.
“You’re so weak right now. What help could you possibly offer?”
Gu Yi felt as if she had fallen into a volcano, her mind burning with feverish delirium. The artificial pheromone vial she had been clutching slipped from her palm and landed on the blanket.
“Gu Yi, there are many ways I can help.”
Song Feiyu suddenly placed her hands on Gu Yi’s ankles. Gu Yi felt the rough texture of the gauze brushing against her skin.
Gu Yi snapped awake, her mind clearing slightly.
She struggled to sit up, her gaze falling on Song Feiyu. This didn’t feel like a dream; it seemed to be the real Song Feiyu.
“Come closer,” Song Feiyu said without a hint of embarrassment, already kneeling on the soft carpet.
Gu Yi’s long black hair cascaded down her neck, a few strands playfully curling upward. Her downward gaze revealed thick, slightly upturned lashes, making her look like a fairy princess who had descended to the mortal realm.
“How did you get in here…?” Gu Yi asked, but her body was already moving against her will, driven by her Omega instincts. She shifted slightly closer.
Song Feiyu’s hand rested on Gu Yi’s knee, slowly applying pressure.
“I’ve been following you, little kitten. You should be more careful about enemies when returning to your nest,” Song Feiyu said with a smile.
Only then did Gu Yi realize Song Feiyu’s hand was on her knee. Her mind instantly grasped the implication, and she instinctively pressed her legs together.
“No, it’s dirty,” Gu Yi managed to say, wishing she could bury herself in the sand like an ostrich.
