The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 33
Gu Family Manor.
“Worthless!”
“A bunch of worthless fools!”
Gu Xuanyu swept his hand across the table, shattering all the teapots. Ji Ham and Huo Bing didn’t dare breathe loudly, their heads bowed low.
“Ji Ham, tell me how the young lady slipped away!” Gu Xuanyu’s eyes were bloodshot as he glared at his assistant, unable to believe what had happened.
Gu Yi had always loved to escape, but he had always managed to recapture her effortlessly. This time… she was truly gone.
“Master, the young lady knows more secret passages in the manor than I do,” Ji Ham sighed. As an outsider, he couldn’t possibly know all the hidden routes within the Gu Family Manor. A moment’s lapse in vigilance had allowed her to slip away.
Gu Xuanyu shot him a cold look before turning his gaze to Huo Bing.
“And you? Don’t tell me you still haven’t found her! It’s been days!”
Huo Bing lowered his head even further.
“Boss, the Third Miss’s chances of survival are slim. That was the Black Widow’s laser cannon…”
Hearing this, Gu Xuanyu’s rage choked him. He lunged forward, grabbing Huo Bing by the collar.
“I said, bring her back alive! Or bring me her corpse!”
“You haven’t even found Yi Yi’s body! What makes you think she’s dead?!”
“Huo Bing, if you prove useless again, I won’t hesitate to twist your head off and use it as decoration!”
Huo Bing swallowed hard, daring not to reply. He nodded frantically, his eyelids trembling with fear.
“Yes, yes, Boss, I understand! I’ll go find her right away.”
After Huo Bing retreated, Gu Xuanyu turned to Ji Ham.
“A’Ham, who do you think is behind this?”
Ji Ham remained silent for a long moment. Just as Gu Xuanyu was about to press him further, he sighed softly.
“I know you suspect the Eldest Miss, Master, but she doesn’t have the authority to mobilize the Black Widow. This could only have been done by one person: Your Highness.”
Gu Xuanyu nodded slowly.
“This is my fault…”
“Xueze has always been a child I could trust. She’s very good at concealing her actions.”
“But even she can’t hide the Imperial Family’s pheromones.”
The intense, sweet scent of wine had long alerted Gu Xuanyu. His daughter was undoubtedly involved with the Crown Princess.
“Master, the Third Miss will be fine. The Imperial Intelligence Prediction Department has already calculated the results. Even if the flying ship was destroyed, the walls of the VIP lounge are the strongest. The chances of death are slim.”
“Besides, we haven’t found her body yet. Anything is still possible.”
Hearing Ji Ham’s words, Gu Xuanyu’s agitated heart finally calmed slightly.
Nearly two days had passed since the Flying Ship crashed, and Gu Yi felt like her body was starting to stink.
The combination of bl00d and sweat was unbearable.
Song Feiyu saw Gu Yi’s furrowed brow and knew she couldn’t take it anymore.
“Want to bathe?”
Song Feiyu brought over more dried plants and even found some desert berries. After verifying they were non-toxic with her terminal, she brought them back.
The vibrant berries were placed in a small basin.
“Yeah, I’m starting to stink,” Gu Yi replied, standing up and reaching for her crutch.
During their scavenging earlier, they had found some spare clothes. Though the fabric was rough, they couldn’t afford to be picky in this situation.
Clutching the clothes, Gu Yi’s eyes hardened.
“Don’t try to stop me. Even if there are crocodiles in the lake, I’m going to wash.”
Song Feiyu couldn’t help but smile at her determination.
“Leave the crutch. I’ll carry you. It’s not far anyway.”
As an instructor at the Newborn Base, Song Feiyu used to run weighted drills with the cadets daily. Gu Yi’s slight frame was no burden to her.
“But you’re injured too.”
Gu Yi glanced at Song Feiyu, her heart aching with reluctance.
She would rather hobble along slowly than involve Song Feiyu.
“It’s fine, I’m strong.”
The bandages had made movement difficult, so Song Feiyu had removed them. Most of the wounds had already scabbed over, posing no risk of infection or bleeding.
The situation wasn’t critical.
“No.”
Gu Yi shook her head stubbornly.
She was the kind of person who always insisted on being strong.
“Gu Yi, you can rely on me. Aren’t you curious why I’ve survived so many times?”
Song Feiyu gently moved closer, her voice soft and soothing. She knew her beloved girlfriend responded better to tenderness than force, and she had grown accustomed to coaxing her.
“Why?”
Gu Yi’s curiosity was piqued, and she immediately forgot their earlier argument.
“Because I’m not a pure-blooded Imperial citizen.”
“My father was a Noble, but he chose not to live in the Imperial Capital because my mother wasn’t from the Empire.”
“My mother was a North Star People.”
The North Star People and the Empire’s citizens share highly similar genes, even to the point of being able to produce offspring together.
“No wonder your hair is curly…”
Gu Yi pondered, reaching out to touch Song Feiyu’s curly hair.
The North Star People had once been a mighty empire, but they were defeated in a war against the Zerg, leading to the extinction of most of their race.
The North Star People possessed extraordinary regenerative abilities, sharing a peculiar similarity with the Zerg in this regard.
“So, don’t worry,” Song Feiyu said. “I can easily carry your weight.”
Gu Yi didn’t insist and allowed Song Feiyu to carry her.
Though Song Feiyu’s back wasn’t broad, it radiated a sense of comfort, especially the faint lavender scent emanating from the nape of her neck.
It gave Gu Yi the feeling of being in a completely safe environment, even though they were on an unfamiliar planet in an unknown location.
Gu Yi longed to kiss Song Feiyu’s scent glands, but the thought of how long it had been since either of them had bathed stopped her.
Never mind. I’ll wait until we’ve washed up.
After walking for a while, Gu Yi sensed something was off. She tugged Song Feiyu’s ear.
“You lied! I remember your file didn’t mention you were a North Star Person at all!”
Song Feiyu didn’t get angry at having her ear pulled. She simply chuckled softly.
“You figured it out so quickly? I thought you wouldn’t notice until we reached the bathing area.”
So Song Feiyu hadn’t inherited the North Star People’s curly hair—she was just naturally curly!
When Gu Yi got angry, she would pinch the other woman’s ear.
“You big liar.”
She pursed her lips, clearly displeased.
“If I hadn’t done that, you wouldn’t have let me carry you. Be careful with your arm.”
Song Feiyu’s long legs moved swiftly, and they soon reached the oasis.
Gu Yi gazed at the azure water, nearly bursting into tears of joy.
The thought of finally taking a comfortable bath made the earlier feeling of being deceived fade considerably.
She jumped off Song Feiyu’s back, ready to plunge into the water.
Song Feiyu quickly grabbed her arm.
“Fill the water bottles first, then you can wash.”
Gu Yi blinked, suddenly remembering the two large empty water bottles they had brought.
Since she had been carrying Gu Yi, Song Feiyu had been dragging the empty bottles with a rope.
After filling the bottles, Gu Yi eagerly unbuttoned her shirt.
But with the bandage on her shoulder, she could only remove half of it.
“Now what?”
Gu Yi stared blankly, clutching the half-undone shirt. She couldn’t go into the water like this.
“Don’t worry, I brought this.”
Song Feiyu held up a rough-edged towel, likely cut from a bedsheet.
