The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 37
After returning to the Empire, Gu Yi’s injuries received prompt and professional medical attention. Her shoulder healed quickly, and she regained full mobility within a week.
Song Feiyu’s wounds had already been nearly healed. After a simple treatment, the scars faded significantly.
Today was Gu Yi’s discharge day, and Song Feiyu came to take her back to the Gu Family.
Gu Yi no longer needed to worry about her students, as she had been officially transferred to work in the Imperial Capital, as stated in the written documents.
“Have you decided how to face your elder sister?” Song Feiyu asked, buttoning Gu Yi’s shirt. The clothes Gu Yi wore were elaborate noble attire, even the shirt buttons were made of gold.
“I have,” Gu Yi nodded.
“Don’t start a fight with her. She’s an Alpha, after all. You’ll be at a disadvantage.” Song Feiyu worried that Gu Yi’s wildcat-like temperament might lead her to physically confront her sister.
After all, the two had faced death together, nearly losing their lives on that desolate planet.
Gu Yi glanced at Song Feiyu. “Are you defending her?” she asked, her voice sharp with anger. She grabbed Song Feiyu by the collar. “If it weren’t for her, would we have faced all this? The entire crew of the Flying Ship was buried with us!”
The uniform collar was already buttoned too tightly. When Gu Yi yanked it, Song Feiyu nearly choked.
She gazed at Gu Yi, her eyes filled with a wounded expression.
Seeing Song Feiyu’s face slowly redden, Gu Yi realized she had pulled too hard and immediately released her grip.
“That’s not what I meant. I meant that rushing into a fight would only put us at a disadvantage, especially since your sister has the Crown Princess backing her.”
Gu Yi nodded.
“But if we don’t retaliate, won’t all this suffering be for nothing?”
“There will be a way. We must plan carefully before acting, so we won’t be caught off guard by unexpected events. Gu Yi, we mustn’t rush.”
Song Feiyu took Gu Yi’s hand and gently kissed her knuckles.
The anger that had been rising in Gu Yi instantly dissipated.
She realized she had been acting rashly and lowered her head to look at Song Feiyu.
“Let’s go.”
The two women left the hospital. A hovercar was already waiting downstairs. As Song Feiyu helped Gu Yi into the vehicle, a man in black approached.
“Captain Song,” the man called out.
Song Feiyu didn’t turn immediately. She waited until Gu Yi was safely inside the car before turning around.
“What is it?”
“A reply from Second Prince Your Highness.”
The man handed Song Feiyu a letter and smiled.
“If you agree, please reply as soon as possible.”
With that, he departed, his footsteps as silent as if he were walking on air.
Gu Yi, waiting in the car, leaned forward curiously as Song Feiyu approached with the letter. She pressed close to Song Feiyu’s shoulder.
“What did he say to you?” Gu Yi asked, her voice brimming with curiosity. Song Feiyu shook her head. She didn’t know what it was either; they’d have to open it to find out.
With a flick of her fingers, Song Feiyu unfolded the letter. Inside was a brief message, its words earnest and sincere. The Second Prince’s intent was clear: he sought to recruit Song Feiyu.
“What do you think?” Gu Yi asked.
“What do you expect me to think? It depends on you, Miss Gu,” Song Feiyu replied, folding the letter neatly and tucking it into her br3ast pocket. Her eyes swept over Gu Yi. “I’m just a live-in Alpha in your family. The choice isn’t mine; it’s yours.”
Though her words carried a hint of jest, Gu Yi knew she wasn’t joking. She reached out and covered Song Feiyu’s mouth.
“Don’t say that. I still want to hear your opinion.”
The Second Prince and the Crown Princess had always been at odds, like fire and water. The Second Prince was no slouch in political maneuvering, but his maternal clan lacked influence.
“I have no objections. None at all.”
Song Feiyu gazed at Gu Yi, her hand resting on her slender waist, a faint smile playing in her eyes.
“I only want you.”
With these words, Song Feiyu tilted her head and pressed a lavender-scented kiss against Gu Yi’s cheek.
“Thinking like that will get you killed sooner or later,” Gu Yi snapped, her anger rising at Song Feiyu’s nonchalant attitude. She reached out and pinched the other woman’s ear, scolding her like a wayward student.
“But you won’t let that happen.”
Though the hovercar glided smoothly, Song Feiyu remained concerned for Gu Yi, whose injuries had only recently healed. Sitting for too long might cause her pain.
She gently lifted Gu Yi’s leg and placed it on her own lap, massaging it lightly.
“Whether I agree or disagree, my Elder Sister will likely continue her despicable assassination plot…”
Gu Yi took a deep breath, her resolve hardening.
She needed to meet with the Second Prince. If he proved unreliable and untrustworthy, there would be no point in continuing.
It would be better to resume her battle of wits and courage with her sister.
With her plan settled, Gu Yi’s mind began to race. She glanced down at Song Feiyu, who was wearing a brand-new uniform.
So, she’s officially the Captain now.
“That uniform looks good on you,” Gu Yi said, lowering her leg and studying Song Feiyu’s outfit.
The brass buttons were engraved with the Empire’s emblem: a golden sun with curling rays, flanked by blooming sunflowers. Gu Yi’s fingers brushed against the cool brass, her fingertips twitching.
“Gu Yi, we’re still in the car…” Song Feiyu grasped her hand, bewildered by this sudden surge of interest from the little wildflower. Just moments ago, Gu Yi had been frowning, looking utterly miserable.
“What’s there to be afraid of? No one would dare look,” Gu Yi replied flippantly. This was her true nature. She had been behaving herself only because her injured hand couldn’t move without pain.
But now things were different. She was healed!
Looking at Song Feiyu’s sheep-like curls and those clear, innocent eyes, a devilish impulse rose within her. Gu Yi cupped Song Feiyu’s cheeks, her fingertips tracing the curve of her lips.
“You’re always so shy in front of others,” Gu Yi said, a hint of dissatisfaction in her voice.
In truth, no one dared to look, and even if they did, they wouldn’t dare gossip. Gu Yiren’s innocent appearance belied the fact that she had been spoiled rotten by her father. Beneath her facade lay the imperious nature of a pampered young lady. Song Feiyu patted her back, then, with a sigh of resignation, reached out to open the Hovercar’s partition.
Most Hovercars were self-driving, but a rare few still had human drivers, primarily because the drivers also served as bodyguards.
“Are you giving in?” Gu Yi asked, her smile widening as she heard the partition slowly close. Song Feiyu’s actions reminded her of a concubine proactively drawing the curtains—she felt immensely pleased.
“It’s my duty,” Song Feiyu replied, meeting Gu Yi’s gaze and tilting her head back slightly, allowing the lavender scent to waft freely. Pressing her forehead against Gu Yi’s, her eyes held unwavering sincerity. “The Interstellar Law stipulates that Alphas have an obligation to satisfy their Omegas.”
