The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 45
Late at night, Gu Yi was still awake.
Pervy had sent her several emails, currently investigating the accident at the banquet. Progress was slow, a terrifying feeling—knowing someone close to you had made a mistake, yet being unable to pinpoint the flaw.
Gu Yi guessed Pervy hadn’t slept well in days.
But that wasn’t her main concern. This was royal family business, and she had no interest in meddling.
She stood before the dressing mirror, clutching a long silk gown in her arms. Its moon-white hue perfectly suited her taste.
Song Feiyu emerged from the shower to find Gu Yi still changing. She couldn’t resist approaching.
“Still haven’t chosen?”
“My mom isn’t superficial. Besides, you’re so beautiful, you’d look stunning even in a plain white T-shirt.”
Song Feiyu pinched Gu Yi’s cheek. Fresh from her bath, the lavender scent had faded, replaced by the fragrance of her shower gel.
“No way. First impressions matter.”
“Why else would I have waited for you outside the café in my Instructor uniform that day?”
Gu Yi looked up at Song Feiyu, her eyes filled with earnestness.
“True,” Song Feiyu nodded. Without that Instructor uniform, her impression might not have been so vivid. She probably would have been too distracted by Gu Yi’s striking beauty.
“Still, you’re so beautiful. Even if I can’t remember you forever, I’ll remember you for at least three months.”
Song Feiyu cupped Gu Yi’s cheeks in her hands, pressing her slightly cool lips against Gu Yi’s rosy face.
The kiss carried a hint of reluctance and lingering affection.
Though Song Feiyu’s eyes still bore faint marks from her injuries, they didn’t mar her beauty; instead, they added a touch of battle-worn allure.
Gu Yi glanced at her before continuing to change.
Song Feiyu wandered through the pile of clothes beside her, suddenly pulling out a delicate camisole. She couldn’t resist lifting it with her fingertips.
“Gu Yi,” Song Feiyu murmured softly. Gu Yi turned to look at her.
“What do you think of this?” Song Feiyu held out the camisole. Gu Yi glanced at it, her ears flushing crimson.
“This is for sleeping,” she emphasized through gritted teeth.
“I know,” Song Feiyu nodded, studying her. Gu Yi’s slightly wavy hair, now less curled after washing, lay neatly against her back, giving her the air of a university student council president. If she wore glasses, the resemblance would be even stronger.
“I want to see you wear it.”
With those words, Gu Yi understood Song Feiyu’s intentions. She set down the long dress in her hands, her hesitation vanishing in that instant. She had decided what she would wear tomorrow.
She reached for the suspenders, a hint of defiance in her eyes.
“You said it yourself. Don’t cry uncle later.”
Song Feiyu suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. Why am I so nervous? she wondered, finding it strange.
After changing, Gu Yi emerged from the dressing room.
Song Feiyu had already turned off the main lights, leaving only a dim yellow night light illuminating the bedside.
Song Feiyu reached behind her neck and gently peeled off the gland patch.
She stretched out her arms. Her slightly damp hair had now mostly dried, curling softly like a freshly bathed, impeccably clean lamb.
Gu Yi slowly approached and knelt on the soft duvet. She reached out and instinctively wrapped her arms around Song Feiyu’s neck.
Song Feiyu raised her hand, her slender, cool fingers, like delicate bamboo, tracing the back of Gu Yi’s neck, unconsciously searching for the gland patch.
“No need to look. I already removed it,” Gu Yi said, her fingers lightly pressing against Song Feiyu’s neck, feeling the pulse beneath her skin.
“You invited this, Captain Song.”
Gu Yi’s dark eyes seemed to hold a profound meaning, like swirling vortexes capable of drawing one in.
“Yes, I volunteered,” Song Feiyu replied, her gaze fixed on Gu Yi as her fingertips pressed against Gu Yi’s gland.
Gu Yi received the invitation and leaned down.
Her lips were soft, her breath ragged.
Truly intoxicating. Song Feiyu narrowed her eyes slightly, gazing at Gu Yi’s face, now so close.
Suddenly, she felt that their meeting at the café that day had been a divine gift.
At the airport, Gu Yi had arrived early to pick up her guests. She wore a long white dress that made her look both ethereal and gentle—the kind of outfit parents loved.
Even her makeup was softer, and when she smiled, she looked every bit the good girl.
Madam Song was easy to spot, dressed in fashionable attire, her features strikingly similar to Song Feiyu’s.
However, their face shapes differed. Song Feiyu’s face was more angular, not round-cheeked like her mother’s.
Gu Yi figured Song Feiyu must have inherited her father’s face shape—a blend of sharp, heroic features softened by a gentle warmth.
“Mom!”
Song Feiyu walked over, greeting her mother with a smile. Two bodyguards followed behind Madam Song, carrying her luggage.
“Are you Yi Yi?”
Hearing the familiar nickname right away, Gu Yi nodded slightly, a little embarrassed.
“Yes, that’s me.”
“You’re even more beautiful in person,” Madam Song complimented. Gu Yi’s cheeks flushed deeper, but she didn’t lower her head, accepting the praise with a hint of pride.
“Of course! I take after my mom.”
Gu Yi had no memory of her mother being around when she was young. Though a hazy figure lingered in her mind, she couldn’t recall much else.
Yet Gu Yi’s mother had loved her deeply.
Before her death, confined to her sickbed, she recorded countless videos and prepared birthday gifts for every year of Gu Yi’s life.
But this virtual maternal love couldn’t transcend the screen to embrace the real Gu Yi.
Even so, it was enough.
After chatting for a while, the group boarded a hovercar and headed toward Gu Yi’s estate.
“You always pushed yourself too hard in the Fleet,” Madam Song said, her gaze softening as she looked at the bruise around Song Feiyu’s eye. “I couldn’t stop you then, but you need to be more careful now. You have an Omega to think about. If not for yourself, then for her.”
Pervy had successfully suppressed news of the banquet incident.
No one had leaked the details, and Song Feiyu naturally wouldn’t tell her mother about such a dangerous situation. She simply explained that she’d sustained a minor injury during training.
Hence Madam Song’s words of caution.
“I know,” Song Feiyu nodded.
In front of her mother, she reached out and clasped Gu Yici’s pale hand, her thumb gently stroking the back of Gu Yici’s hand as if cherishing a priceless treasure.
“I will, Mom. How could I ever let go of such a wonderful Omega?”
In just a few days, the mansion Gu Yi’s mother had left behind had been almost completely renovated, now looking grand and magnificent. Gu Yi had used only the finest lacquer and wood, ensuring there were no unpleasant odors or harmful substances. The lawn was meticulously manicured and equipped with sprinklers to keep the grass lush and green.
Madam Song, aware of Gu Yi’s true identity, wasn’t surprised to see her living in such a luxurious residence in the Imperial Capital.
Yet, despite her mental preparation, she still felt a twinge of nervousness during their first meeting. She couldn’t help but wonder if her daughter would face difficulties climbing into such a wealthy family.
However, seeing the depth of Song Feiyu’s affection, Madam Song quickly suppressed her doubts.
