The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 51
The simulation battle ended in a resounding victory for Song Feiyu, while the others suffered crushing defeats.
Pervy was delighted. He had been fretting over his inability to catch any spies these past few days. This good news was a much-needed morale boost.
It seemed he had indeed acquired a sharp blade, though he owed this success to his elder sister.
“Your Highness,” his advisor began, “Your Majesty has been troubled by the Interstellar Wanderers recently. Perhaps we should volunteer to share this burden.”
Pervy nodded. “Any movement from the Crown Princess?”
He suddenly realized he hadn’t seen Po Ye in days. He recalled the Empress was busy preparing for the Crown Princess’s wedding, which explained his sister’s absence.
Rumor had it she was in love with Gu Xueze but was being forced into this marriage. She was likely spending as much time as possible with her lover before reluctantly appearing on television to promote the wedding.
“No movement,” the advisor replied. “However, our informants report that the Crown Princess hasn’t left her chambers in days. Gu Xueze has been delivering her meals daily.”
Pervy nodded, his jade-like fingers tapping lightly against his chin. He chuckled softly, his voice laced with mockery.
“If my Elder Sister, who’s obsessed with beauty, had even a shred of ambition, Imperial Father wouldn’t have even glanced my way.”
Interstellar Wanderers and Interstellar Pirates were two distinct factions.
The latter committed every imaginable atrocity, while the former sought to forge alliances.
They sheltered the homeless, resulting in a far more diverse range of races within their ranks compared to the pirates.
However, this diversity also brought instability.
The Wanderers were constantly embroiled in internal conflicts, yet their equipment far surpassed that of the pirates.
As a massive, familial organization, the Wanderers often raided planets in large groups.
Logically, an empire as vast as theirs should have been immune to such incursions.
But the Empire had been locked in a prolonged war with the Zerg.
Its national strength was depleted, and its control over smaller peripheral planets had weakened, creating an opening for the Wanderers to exploit.
If Pervy could resolve this crisis, not only would his Imperial Father praise him, but his public approval ratings would skyrocket.
Just imagining it made Pervy’s grin widen.
“Your suggestion is excellent. My Fleet hasn’t seen real combat in ages. Have them prepare immediately. Song Feiyu will lead this operation.”
Song Feiyu had earned countless merits.
Her capabilities were undeniable, and Pervy felt confident entrusting this mission to her.
When Song Feiyu received her deployment orders, she set off almost immediately. In stark contrast to the dilapidated flying ship she had piloted last time, this vessel was equipped with the Empire’s latest technology, including five Obsidian Mecha. This clearly demonstrated the gravity Pervy attached to this mission.
Even with Wormhole Migration Technology, reaching the Empire’s border would still take considerable time, requiring stops at supply stations on other planets for energy replenishment.
During one such stop on a tourist planet, Song Feiyu gazed out at the vibrant green landscape and suddenly had a brilliant idea. She turned to Gu Yi, who was sitting beside her, idly sketching flying ship designs—her old habit.
“Gu Yi, let’s go out and have some fun,” Song Feiyu said, leaning over to examine Gu Yi’s electronic drafts. The model of a flying ship was already taking shape, but Gu Yi was still refining the details.
The Fleet’s energy replenishment would take two or three days. Spending all that time cooped up in the flying ship would be terribly boring. Song Feiyu didn’t want Gu Yi to feel stifled, so she suggested this outing.
“Where should we go?” Gu Yi asked, showing little interest in the small tourist planet. As a member of the high nobility, she had seen far grander sights.
A planet covered in trees wasn’t enough to pique her interest.
“It’s just trees. Nothing special. Only commoners lack greenery.”
The Gu Family’s estate boasted not only lush gardens but also ancient architecture and antiques dating back tens of thousands of years.
Ordinary things simply couldn’t capture Gu Yi’s attention. Her unspoken message was clear: she wanted to continue designing flying ships here.
“I know a fun place,” Song Feiyu said, recalling a colleague who had traveled to this planet during his time as an instructor.
The planet was famous for its couples’ hotels, where one could even see extraterrestrials.
Song Feiyu leaned closer, brushing aside Gu Yi’s loose strands of hair until his pale lips nearly touched her ear.
The intimacy sent a ticklish sensation through her.
“I heard they even have aliens doing exotic dances.”
Gu Yi’s eyes widened instantly. She set down her stylus and stared at Song Feiyu.
“What’s going on in that head of yours?”
“Do you think I’m that vulgar?”
Of course, just fifteen minutes later, Gu Yi was standing at the entrance of the interstellar hotel. She wasn’t vulgar, but she was undeniably curious.
If Song Feiyu had gone to such a place alone, Gu Yi would have turned into a hissing, bristling cat. But…
Being taken along felt a bit awkward and embarrassing.
Song Feiyu had already booked a room through the terminal when they arrived.
It was a luxurious presidential suite. The hotel’s first three floors were dedicated to dance halls, with guest rooms located above.
“Don’t be shy,” Song Feiyu said, taking Gu Yi’s hand. “We’re just looking around.”
To be honest, Song Feiyu had only heard about these places; she’d never actually been to one herself. She’d suggested this outing purely to get Gu Yi out of the Flying Ship and stretch her legs.
“I’m not shy,” Gu Yi retorted, though the tips of her ears, hidden beneath her dark hair, had already flushed crimson.
As they approached, they were surprised to find the music not the expected cacophony, but rather a soothing, deep melody. The lyrics were in an unfamiliar language, likely an alien tongue.
Song Feiyu led Gu Yi to their reserved booth. Nearby, bartenders served both Imperial Citizens and aliens.
“What would you like to drink?” Song Feiyu asked, looking down at Gu Yi.
Gu Yi’s gaze fell on a Pink Octopus, a creature she’d only seen in documentaries before. Seeing one in person left her somewhat stunned.
The Imperial Capital was predominantly populated by Imperial Citizens, with the Nobles often ostracizing aliens. As a result, Gu Yi had encountered relatively few aliens—perhaps even fewer than Song Feiyu had.
Following her gaze, Song Feiyu nodded knowingly.
“I’ll go order,” Song Feiyu said, standing up and walking away before Gu Yi could react. She glided over to the Pink Octopus’s bar with effortless grace and casually ordered drinks.
“Hello,” Song Feiyu greeted in Interstellar Language, not Imperial Language.
“Hello. I speak Imperial Language,” the Pink Octopus replied in a surprisingly soft, feminine voice.
“Ah, I see. Any recommendations?” Song Feiyu asked with a smile.
The Pink Octopus’s gaze drifted to Gu Yi before returning to Song Feiyu.
“My tentacles detect a scent—jasmine and lavender.”
“You can smell our pheromones?” Song Feiyu asked, startled.
“Of course. Our sense of smell is far superior to that of Imperial Citizens.”
“The young lady over there still carries a hint of Heat. I can prepare a special ‘enhanced’ cocktail to ensure you both have a perfect night.”
The Pink Octopus’s tentacles curled around a bottle of liquor.
