The Top Omega Girlfriend of a Useless Alpha - Chapter 52
Song Feiyu returned with the drink. A spherical ice ball floated atop the glass, the colorful liquor swirling like summer blossoms.
“Yours,” she said, handing it to Gu Yi.
Gu Yi raised the glass to her lips, about to take a sip.
“Um…” Song Feiyu reached out and grasped her wrist. Her fingers were cool from holding the chilled glass.
“What is it?” Gu Yi asked, her face illuminated by the nightclub’s kaleidoscopic lights—a stark contrast to her aristocratic features, as if she’d been secretly brought here.
“There’s something else in this drink,” Song Feiyu finally admitted, gently refusing the Pink Octopus’s offer. She didn’t believe anyone should consume such things unknowingly.
“Let me guess?” Gu Yi gazed at her with eyes like black gemstones, a playful smile curving her pink lips. “Something to accelerate the Heat?”
Song Feiyu nodded, surprised at Gu Yi’s immediate deduction. But considering their surroundings, it wasn’t entirely unexpected.
“Yes,” Song Feiyu confirmed, her gaze fixed on Gu Yi.
“I should take this away. If you lose control, things could get messy.”
Song Feiyu realized she had been reckless, her eyes completely fixed on the Pink Octopus’s bartending skills. By the time she snapped out of it, Gu Yi had already returned with the drink.
“No need.”
Gu Yi took a large sip, the icy liquid sliding down her throat, leaving a subtly sweet and spicy sensation lingering on her tongue.
She narrowed her eyes slightly.
Gu Yi rarely drank mixed cocktails, preferring the aged wines stored in the cellars of the nobles, renowned for their rich, mellow aromas.
However, she had overestimated her tolerance. After just one glass, her body began to feel faintly warm.
At that moment, the stage show began.
The first performers were Merfolk. The floor at the center of the stage slowly opened, and a circular tank rose into view, containing three Merfolk.
Their tails shimmered with iridescent colors, and their long, silver hair flowed freely in the water.
Two were male, and one was female.
The gentle sway of their tails drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.
Gu Yi was momentarily captivated, forgetting the strange warmth spreading through her body.
“Sounxing’s Merfolk,” Song Feiyu murmured.
Song Feiyu recognized the Merfolk at first glance.
But her mind wasn’t focused on that. Instead, she tilted her head to observe Gu Yi, who quickly drained her glass, leaving only two ice cubes at the bottom.
“Let’s go rest,” Song Feiyu said, frowning with concern that something might happen at any moment. She reached out to support Gu Yi.
“Mm,” Gu Yi nodded.
Song Feiyu stood up. The Merfolk’s dance had ended unnoticed, and Gu Yi followed behind her, her steps unsteady.
Though Song Feiyu had also drunk the wine, her damaged glands meant she was barely affected, moving as if she hadn’t touched a drop.
Afraid Gu Yi might fall, Song Feiyu reached out to steady her.
Gu Yi leaned heavily against Song Feiyu’s shoulder, her soft, long black hair brushing against her neck, the faint jasmine scent drifting past her nose.
“My legs feel weak,” Gu Yi murmured, her entire weight shifting onto Song Feiyu, who braced herself to support her.
“Let’s take the elevator. It’ll be quick.”
Stumbling to the elevator, Song Feiyu pressed the button for the floor where their suite was located. As promised, they soon arrived at the suite’s wooden door.
She unlocked it with her fingerprint and pushed open the presidential suite’s door.
The moment she stepped inside, the rich aroma of wood filled her senses. After all, this planet was renowned for its lush greenery, and most of the furniture was crafted from wood.
The dark walnut wood grain was clearly visible, exuding a subtle, refreshing fragrance that permeated the entire room.
For Imperial Citizens accustomed to living on metal decks, this was an entirely novel experience. No wonder the hotel’s ratings remained consistently high.
Gu Yi reached out, her palm burning against Song Feiyu’s shoulder.
She looked up at Song Feiyu, whose eyes were filled with tenderness, devoid of any haze of drunkenness or lust.
Gu Yi stood on tiptoe.
She knew exactly how to make Song Feiyu lose control.
She relished this feeling—the sight of the person she had longed for, now completely uninhibited, utterly captivated by her.
The intense jasmine scent nearly overwhelmed the room as Song Feiyu pulled her into an embrace.
“Gu Yi, you’re losing control,” she warned.
“I know, Song Feiyu. Let me mark you.”
Song Feiyu sighed helplessly. Well, I poured this drink myself. I created this mess, so I’ll have to bear the consequences.
She pressed her forehead against the walnut wood, turning her entire body around.
Just as Gu Yi leaned in to kiss her, Song Feiyu reminded her, “I haven’t removed the gland patch.”
“I know.”
Gu Yi tore off the patch and lowered her head, their lips meeting.
That night, Song Feiyu silently counted the number of times her joints ached.
Roughly a dozen times.
I’ll need to apply a strong pain relief patch when I get back, she thought to herself before drifting into a deep sleep.
“Where’s Captain Song?”
Liu Zhuochen gazed at the conference room today, noticing the obvious absence of someone from the head seat.
As Song Feiyu’s former student, Liu Zhuochen had naturally been appointed as her second-in-command.
The intention was to promote her. This campaign to eradicate the Interstellar Wanderers was an opportunity for the Second Prince Your Highness to earn merit, and he had deployed the Empire’s finest equipment.
With even a modicum of intelligence, victory in this battle was assured.
Even if Liu Zhuochen did nothing but follow Song Feiyu’s orders, she could still amass a substantial amount of merit.
But she couldn’t remain idle. Every day, she immersed herself in preparations, studying the Empire’s historical records of warfare against the Interstellar Wanderers.
Today’s assembly had been proposed by her. Song Feiyu had signed the request, but it was clear her instructor hadn’t thoroughly reviewed the documents, leading to her absence from the meeting.
Of course, there was another possibility: Song Feiyu might have deliberately ignored the protocol.
However, Liu Zhuochen refused to believe such a thing.
“Captain Song left yesterday and hasn’t returned yet,” someone said, clearly aware of the situation.
“Where did she go?” Liu Zhuochen asked.
The others exchanged hesitant glances.
“I’m asking you, where did she go?” Liu Zhuochen’s voice grew sharp, as if everyone knew what Song Feiyu was up to except her, the one who had been burning the midnight oil.
She practically gritted out each word.
“She went to the hotel,” someone finally blurted out.
Those who didn’t know gasped in shock. On this travel planet, only one hotel was particularly famous—the one teeming with aliens.
Many of them had secretly visited the hotel themselves. Clearly, several had seen Song Feiyu there last night.
But they had returned early.
Their beloved Captain, however, was still asleep.
“Teacher…” Liu Zhuochen murmured to herself.
She couldn’t believe it. When had Song Feiyu fallen so low?
