The Unattractive Princess’ Marriage

The marriage proposal that arrived in the small country of Hydeland was from Prince Feldric of the great nation of Kazac, who happened to be Sophina’s first love. It was expected to be a proposal for her beautiful and renowned older sister, but instead, it was for Sophina, the unremarkable younger princess whose only merit was helping her brother with state affairs.

Everyone, including Sophina herself, thought it was a case of mistaken identity. Yet, when Feldric arrived and declared he had “fallen in love at first sight,” Sophina was swept off her feet and accepted. However, the truth was that it was a political maneuver, and she was chosen precisely because she was a plain princess who didn’t need to be adorned.

Feldric bluntly called their marriage “work” and Sophina a “convenient partner.” In a fit of despair, Sophina proposed a contract marriage in exchange for handling state affairs and began her life in Kazac.

Everyone mocked her for being mismatched, and she was constantly at the mercy of the harsh Feldric. On top of that, a mistress candidate from a neighboring country arrived, aiming for her position as empress and even her life. To make matters worse, an unsettling atmosphere began to spread in her home country…
