The Unlucky Bride Is Loved by the Fortunate Desert King - Chapter 13 - Climax
Before me stood Al, watching me quietly. He looked at me the way a lion studies its prey before it pounces—silent, focused, unreadable. Under that calm gaze, I felt as though something inside me was being drawn out, leaving me unable to resist the pull.
(Al isn’t even reacting… why am I the only one losing control?)
That thought filled me with shame and helplessness. Tears welled in my eyes, and I wiped them away with the back of my hand, but my voice still trembled out of me.
“Ah… Al… ah—”
Each time I moved, every breath I took, it was as if his steady presence made my heart race even faster.
When tears spilled freely down my cheeks, Al’s brows furrowed slightly. He reached out and brushed the corner of my eyes with his thumb. “Don’t cry. You’re making me look like a terrible man,” he said softly.
“But… I can’t help it…” My voice broke, my body too full of confusion to understand what it wanted.
“I see,” Al murmured. “I may have pushed you too far. I didn’t want you to feel forced or ashamed. You deserve your own choice—and Asuad deserves your honesty. But…”
Before I could respond, Al drew me into his arms. My body leaned fully against his, my chest pressed against his warmth.
Then, in a low, melting voice that sent a shiver through me, he whispered near my ear, “Stay still for a moment. You’ll feel better this way.”
The sensation of his body against mine was completely different now—closer, deeper, impossible to ignore.
Al’s hands moved carefully to support my back, guiding my posture. I gasped softly, the sudden closeness overwhelming.
“Can you move?” he asked. I shook my head quickly, unable to speak.
The intensity of everything—the heat, the closeness, the pounding of my heartbeat—rose all at once, dizzying and consuming.
“I… I can’t…” I managed to whisper, my voice shaking. “It’s too much…”
My whole body trembled, like a wave surging beyond control. My vision blurred; the world tilted, swallowed by light and sound.
“Then hold on to me,” Al said gently.
The moment he spoke, I felt something inside me release—a breaking point, a rush of heat that made my thoughts scatter. It was too much, too sudden, like falling into a storm of feeling that washed everything else away.
“Al—!”
The name left my lips before I even realized it. Everything blurred together—light, breath, heartbeat until only Al’s warmth remained.
When it was over, I felt myself trembling, barely able to breathe. “Al… I’m sorry…” I whispered faintly.
I didn’t know if he heard me. My vision faded again, swallowed by darkness.
