The Unmarried Omega Falls into Being a Wife - Chapter 11
Ge Yan was just about to pretend to be angry and scold him when a man in a suit bumped into her.
The chair scraped harshly across the floor. Lin Xunye looked at the man with guarded eyes.
The suited man turned around and bowed apologetically to Ge Yan. Lin Xunye’s expression relaxed, but as he looked in the direction the man left, he spotted a vaguely familiar silhouette he couldn’t quite place.
The man had his back turned and was speaking to someone. It was too far to see clearly only a vague outline.
Strange.
Suddenly, the man turned slightly, and Lin Xunye saw the mole beside his nose.
In a flash, Lin Xunye shot off like a monkey. Ge Yan, watching the boyish Lin Xunye dart away, could only shake her head and slowly sip her drink.
Gu Pei had been invited today to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by a business partner. The moment he entered the garden, he felt a chill down his spine.
Halfway through, he spotted Lin Xunye charging straight at him.
This was bad.
On instinct, Gu Pei ducked into the crowd. His bodyguard failed to notice, and just like that the boss disappeared.
By the time Lin Xunye got there, Gu Pei was already gone, and the crowd had fully dispersed.
Following a faint trace of a citrus scent that was about to vanish, Lin Xunye found a fruit cutting stall. And there, standing nearby watching the vendor cut fruit was… Gu Pei.
“Gu Pei.” Lin Xunye frowned. “What are you doing here?”
Gu Pei looked up at the sound of his voice. “Work.”
Three short, clipped words.
Lin Xunye was anxious to find someone and had no time to chit-chat. As he brushed past Gu Pei, his steps suddenly halted.
“You…” Lin Xunye’s eyes sharpened. “You smell like perfume.”
Gu Pei inexplicably let out a breath of relief. It felt like a close call though he’d done nothing wrong, he still felt oddly thankful.
He looked straight at Lin Xunye.
Lin Xunye, sensing the gaze, turned. “What?”
Gu Pei stepped forward, hand hovering behind Lin Xunye’s neck. Sensing danger, Lin Xunye spun around and gripped his wrist, eyes locked onto him.
Gu Pei couldn’t help but think: if he made a wrong move now, Lin Xunye would absolutely throw him over his shoulder.
“What are you doing?”
Which was basically: You got a death wish?
Gu Pei wisely started apologizing. “Sorry. Your collar was crooked. I just wanted to fix it. We’re legally married now, after all, right?”
He said it so flawlessly.
Though Lin Xunye didn’t fully believe it, he couldn’t exactly start a street fight in public.
Besides, judging by Gu Pei’s demeanor, if he tried to slap him, Gu Pei might just grab his hand and say, “Aren’t we legally married?”
Gu Pei’s interruption made Lin Xunye forget all about the person he was trying to find.
He shook off Gu Pei’s hand and turned to leave.
After two steps, Lin Xunye’s knees buckled, and he collapsed into Gu Pei’s arms.
“Lin Xunye, what’s wrong?”
The voice was distant and muffled. Lin Xunye leaned against Gu Pei’s chest, barely able to stand. A burning heat radiated from the back of his neck. He could only stay upright by leaning on Gu Pei.
Crap…
So uncomfortable.
A wave of heat surged through him. Lin Xunye clung to Gu Pei like a vine. “Heat…” he whispered.
Gu Pei leaned down, his palm pressing gently against Lin Xunye’s back in a soothing gesture. “What?”
Lin Xunye bit his lip, mustering all his strength to grab Gu Pei’s collar, half-pleading, half-urgent:
“I’m in heat.”
This time, Gu Pei heard it clearly.
He immediately scooped Lin Xunye up and strode toward the parking lot.
As they passed an outdoor table, Gu Pei’s steps paused. Glancing to the right, he caught a woman giving him a knowing smile. In response, he held Lin Xunye tighter, shielding his face from prying eyes.
Lin Xunye’s heat came on suddenly. As soon as Gu Pei entered the underground parking garage, a strong scent of whipped cream exploded into the air.
The creamy scent wrapped around him, even coaxing out the hidden citrus scent from Gu Pei himself.
Startled, Gu Pei glanced at Lin Xunye surprised, but mostly understanding.
He had already suspected.
Lin Xunye had a New Zealand entry stamp. They’d both been spotted in the same bar, checked into the same hotel on the same day.
Even their rooms were on the same floor.
So many coincidences had planted a seed in Gu Pei’s mind long ago.
Now, that seed had sprouted and taken root.
Once inside the car, Lin Xunye, now in what he saw as a safe space, reached to peel off his suppressor patch.
Gu Pei caught his hand, gently coaxing, “Not yet. Let’s go home first, okay? We’ll take it off at home.”
Gu Pei’s body radiated warmth, and in Lin Xunye’s eyes, it felt like salvation. He held Gu Pei’s hands in both of his, nuzzling against him like a cat.
So comforting.
Tears welled up in Lin Xunye’s eyes. Tilting his head back, he looked at Gu Pei. “It’s so hot… too hot…”
“I’m burning up…”
The scent in the air thickened. Gu Pei exhaled sharply. The temperature was suffocating but even more suffocating was Lin Xunye.
Suppressing the dark desires bubbling inside him, Gu Pei yanked off his tie.
Lin Xunye tilted his head to watch him, his eyes misty and deep like whirlpools threatening to swallow Gu Pei whole.
Gu Pei’s movements were a bit too rough two buttons popped off his shirt and landed squarely on Lin Xunye’s chest.
Lin Xunye blinked, stunned, then picked up the buttons. Cheeks flushed, he held them up to Gu Pei with a proud little smile.
It was as if he was saying: “Look what I found—reward me!”
Gu Pei’s gaze darkened.
Instead of taking the buttons, he leaned down and kissed Lin Xunye’s forehead.
The cool touch made Lin Xunye close his eyes in comfort.
But in the next second, Gu Pei’s tie wrapped around his wrists, pulling his hands behind his back.
Lin Xunye whimpered, only to receive a soft, cooling kiss in response.
“Be good. We’ll be home soon.”
Twenty minutes later, Gu Pei carried Lin Xunye upstairs with one arm.
The car lock beeped behind them as the door clicked shut.
Lin Xunye’s hands were still tied. His legs kicked restlessly in protest.
Gu Pei placed him on the bed, one hand braced by his neck, the other sliding down to just below his navel.
A scorching heat bloomed under his touch.
After the short, breathy cries subsided, Gu Pei leaned against the headboard, holding Lin Xunye in his arms.
Lin Xunye was still dazed but much calmer.
Gu Pei kissed the suppressor patch on the back of his neck, releasing even more of that thick whipped cream scent.
His arm tightened involuntarily. Lin Xunye squeaked and suddenly bit Gu Pei on the cheek.
It didn’t hurt more like teething.
Gu Pei gently patted his back, sweat forming a sheen on his skin, slowly trailing down in tiny streams.
Salty tears dripped onto Lin Xunye’s lips. He paused, licking them.
“So salty,” Lin Xunye croaked.
Gu Pei hummed and took off his shirt.
Lin Xunye’s eyes lit up like he’d found treasure. He pawed at Gu Pei’s chest.
“Fun to touch, just kinda hard.” he mumbled.
Gu Pei, who had been holding back all this time, finally let out a laugh.
Both of them were burning up.
Gu Pei carried Lin Xunye to the bathroom and gave him a good wash.
Throughout, Lin Xunye was unusually obedient.
Just before leaving the bathroom, Lin Xunye clung to the doorframe, saying nothing—just looking at Gu Pei.
Gu Pei asked three times before Lin Xunye finally mumbled:
“A temporary mark. I want a temporary mark.”
The fire in Gu Pei’s chest roared to life.
He heard himself say, “Only a temporary one?”
Lin Xunye nodded, and a flurry of kisses rained down.
Canines sank into skin, and information pheromones flooded out.
When Lin Xunye woke up, Gu Pei was no longer in the bedroom.
The soreness all over his body was undeniable. His neck gland throbbed red, swollen, and tender from repeated biting.
“Where… is this?” Lin Xunye held his neck, scanning the unfamiliar room.
It wasn’t his bedroom.
The intermittent pain in his glands left him too weak to get up. His brain, like an old engine, sputtered after running non stop and blacked out.
His phone pinged once. He glanced at the screen, then slowly lay back under the covers. The scent of air freshener in the room brought back fragments of memory.
Yesterday, he’d gone to the airport to pick up Teacher Ge.
At the scenic spot, he spotted a certain bastard. He chased him down, but Gu Pei interrupted.
Then he turned to leave, stumbled and then… memory loss?
Lin Xunye slapped his head. Nothing came back.
Weird.
Did he hit his head when he fell?
Then why does my waist feel like a slipped disc?
He carefully massaged his lower back under the covers. The quiet hisses echoed in the room.
“Click”
Gu Pei entered with a bowl of congee. His robe revealed a muscular chest, with the sash hanging loosely like it could fall at any moment.
Lin Xunye stopped rubbing his waist. His eyes locked on Gu Pei’s body.
“You’ve got a great body,” he said without thinking.
Gu Pei smiled as he approached. “Thanks. As long as you like it.”
Realizing what he said, Lin Xunye turned away, embarrassed.
Gu Pei scooped a spoonful of congee, blew on it, and brought it to Lin Xunye’s lips. Lin Xunye turned away completely uncooperative.
Like hell he’d drink it.
Let the bastard suffer.
“I cooked this myself,” Gu Pei said, pulling the spoon back and pretending to take a sip. “It’s full of good stuff.”
Lin Xunye glanced at him sideways. “Like what?”
Gu Pei: “My sincerity.”
Lin Xunye: “…”
“Who wants that?” he snapped, but his head leaned forward anyway. Gu Pei fed him the spoonful, and Lin Xunye swallowed.
The soft congee slid down easily no chewing needed.
Lin Xunye wanted another bite, but the mischievous look in Gu Pei’s eyes made him scoff and lean back.
He gave him a mocking smirk: “Your sincerity’s pretty average.”
“Just like your skills nothing impressive at all.”
