The Unmarried Omega Falls into Being a Wife - Chapter 13
Lin Xunye stood at the study door for a full minute, then decisively knocked.
“Come in.” Gu Pei’s voice drifted through the wooden door, the muted sentence like a feather without any attack, gently falling on Lin Xunye’s shoulder.
Lin Xunye didn’t bother being polite, he pushed the door open directly.
Gu Pei, sitting in his office chair, slightly lifted his eyelids, nodded when he saw Lin Xunye, then turned back to the documents in his hands.
The warm yellow light shone on both of them, as if they were bathing in the same pool.
Lin Xunye had no interest in Gu Pei’s work. He wasn’t a spy marrying Gu Pei to steal company secrets; entering the study was simply on a whim.
Lin Xunye put his hands in his pockets and looked around near the bookshelf. Confirming that there wasn’t a single book unrelated to finance, he sat opposite Gu Pei. “You’re really boring nothing but economics books.”
After signing the documents, Gu Pei placed one hand on the desk. “If you want to understand me, I’m quite interesting.”
Lin Xunye’s right eye twitched. “I don’t want to.”
Neither spoke further, but Gu Pei could tell from Lin Xunye’s clenched fists that he was annoyed.
Just as the tension thickened, the voice of Aunt Wang broke the silence: “Young master, dinner’s ready.”
Lin Xunye stood first. “I’m magnanimous, I won’t hold it against you.”
Gu Pei only stood after Lin Xunye reached the door.
He was taller and longer-legged; with two or three steps, he caught up to Lin Xunye.
Of course, Gu Pei could easily withstand Lin Xunye barging into the door first.
After Aunt Wang called out, she went to the living room. Lin Xunye bumped into Gu Pei and stood firm in front of him, fist raised high as if ready to poke Gu Pei’s eye. “Bastard.”
Gu Pei: “”
Such a cute scolding.
Lin Xunye hadn’t even sat down when his sensitive nose caught the smell of coriander.
If he couldn’t see it, he might really suspect Gu Pei’s pheromones smelled like coriander.
Thinking this way, Lin Xunye suddenly felt curious.
He seemed to have no clue about Gu Pei’s pheromones.
Even yesterday when Lin Xunye was in heat, Gu Pei restrained himself, not revealing his pheromones.
This morning, the room only smelled of air freshener.
Could Gu Pei be a low-quality Alpha without pheromones?
Lin Xunye laughed at his own thought.
Gu Pei was the mighty CEO of Gu Corporation; how could he not have pheromones? He was overthinking.
Lin Xunye pulled out a chair and sat, picking up his chopsticks but feeling no appetite. Every dish on the table had one common garnish coriander.
There was even soup floating with coriander.
It was a coriander feast!
Recalling the conversation in the afternoon, Lin Xunye now just wanted to go back in time and slap himself twice, then make himself take back the words he said before.
He wasn’t picky about food!
Gu Pei smiled at him.
Although Aunt Wang hadn’t explicitly said she prepared this on Lin Xunye’s orders, Gu Pei could guess it.
Lin Xunye was definitely doing it on purpose.
“Not to your taste, madam?” Gu Pei teased.
Lin Xunye’s cheeks instantly blushed. He stretched out his hand, grabbed a piece of coriander sausage in front of Gu Pei, bravely stuffed it in his mouth, then forced down the discomfort. “Very delicious.”
“Also, if you keep calling me that, I’ll slap your mouth crooked.”
After the warning, Lin Xunye focused on eating his rice.
Rice was still the best.
Gu Pei picked up chopsticks and took a piece of coriander, but instead of eating it himself, he put it in Lin Xunye’s bowl.
“Eat more, it’s good for your health.”
Lin Xunye: “…”
Fine, fine, you’re a pain.
Lin Xunye glared angrily at Gu Pei but didn’t stop eating, finishing the piece of sausage.
Food should never be wasted.
When Lin Xunye was struggling abroad, he once went three days eating only six meals total. His only meal a day was pickled vegetables with dry bread.
After a month of that, he almost became dry bread himself.
After dinner, Lin Xunye went straight back to the bedroom.
Just in case someone bad came in, he locked the door.
Since Lin Xunye hadn’t been to other rooms after arriving, he naturally didn’t know this was Gu Pei’s bedroom.
But even if he knew, he would still lock the door.
Gu Pei was highly efficient. By 1 am he had finished reviewing all the documents and thoughtfully given feedback to each secretary.
After finishing, he went to the bedroom door.
His hand on the door stopped. The sweet but not cloying faint cream like pheromone spread, filling Gu Pei’s entire nose.
Inside the room, Lin Xunye was curled up on the bed, completely naked.
He had taken off his clothes when he felt the unbearable heat. Now, they lay on the smooth floor.
“Heh…” Lin Xunye lay spread eagle on the bed, soaked as if pulled from water.
How could he make such a low level mistake?
After dinner, Lin Xunye had wanted to ask Gu Pei for a suppressant injection, but Gu Pei quickly returned to the study. Lin Xunye didn’t want to lose face asking, so he went back to the bedroom.
While troubled, Lin Xunye noticed a syringe in the drawer, very similar to the suppressant.
Without much thought, Lin Xunye injected himself.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the needle was in, his glands felt like they were on fire, burning with waves of heat far worse than during heat.
Lin Xunye tossed and turned twice on the bed, even burying his head in the pillow, but could still not smell Gu Pei’s pheromones.
Damn.
A fake marriage without even sharing pheromones, how stingy.
Lin Xunye relied on his last bit of reason and got out of bed, walking slowly to the bathroom.
The bathroom was slightly cooler. Lin Xunye turned the tap to full, filling the bathtub with water, then dove in.
Instantly, the cold water rushed into his nostrils.
Before suffocating, Lin Xunye lifted his head from the water and wiped his face hard.
Standing before the mirror, Lin Xunye exhaled.
The breath swirled on the fogged-up mirror, making his flushed, handsome face look even more charming.
His lip piercing’s glint stimulated his nerves. He ran a hand through his hair, closed his eyes, and leaned back to catch his breath.
His glands were still burning hot.
Lin Xunye staggered to the tub.
Just as he turned on the faucet, the sound of the door lock being broken sounded faintly in his dulled hearing.
Lin Xunye turned slowly, bumping into Gu Pei’s arms.
Gu Pei was sweating cold sweat. Lin Xunye instinctively snuggled into him.
“So cool…” Lin Xunye ignored everything and hugged him, his burning forehead rubbing against Gu Pei’s abs.
Gu Pei hugged him back, easily carrying him out of the bathroom.
Lin Xunye’s head and chest were covered with water droplets, soaking Gu Pei’s shirt collar.
Gu Pei wanted to put him on the bed, but the bed was too messed up to sleep on. Sheets and pillows were on the floor.
Also on the floor was the stimulant injection Lin Xunye had carelessly thrown beside the bed.
Gu Pei was grateful he hadn’t put fragile porcelain by the bed as he originally thought.
Since the bedroom was unusable, Gu Pei carried Lin Xunye to the guest bedroom.
Just as he put him down, Lin Xunye immediately clung back, panting, lips close to Gu Pei’s ear: “I… feel bad…”
Gu Pei’s Adam’s apple moved up and down. He didn’t reply.
After a while, Lin Xunye climbed on top again, repeatedly whispering, “I feel so bad.”
The soft voice lightly teased, stirring the calm sea into stormy waves.
Lin Xunye’s voice wasn’t a childish one, but seductive.
A unique kind of seduction belonging to Lin Xunye, without femininity.
Gu Pei didn’t lift him up like last night to ask if it was just temporary marking. He let Lin Xunye mess around on his chest.
When Lin Xunye reached down, Gu Pei caught his wrist with one hand and lifted his chin with the other, forcing Lin Xunye to look at him.
“I’ll give you two options.”
“One, I help you get the suppressant.”
“Two, I personally help you.”
Gu Pei spoke fast, and Lin Xunye didn’t even hear the first option clearly, jumping straight to the second.
The slower, heavier-toned second option naturally became Lin Xunye’s first choice.
“I… I choose you.” Lin Xunye stammered.
Getting the expected answer, Gu Pei smiled and completely pulled him into his embrace.
Lin Xunye was defenseless, falling headfirst into Gu Pei’s arms.
Gu Pei opened a cabinet, took out a suppressant injection, and injected it into his arm without hesitation. At the same time, he stuck a suppressant patch on the back of his neck, instantly erasing the citrus scent his creamy pheromones might have caused.
Only Lin Xunye’s restless creamy pheromones spread in the room.
Gu Pei bent down, his tongue touching Lin Xunye’s sensitive ear tip. “A-ye, you smell so good.”
Lin Xunye looked up confused. Tears formed in his eyes and rolled down.
Gu Pei wiped away the tears with his fingertip. The fingertip was moist; Gu Pei twirled it, then put the finger with Lin Xunye’s tear scent into his mouth.
All of it was A-ye’s scent…
