She didn’t need it.
Sheng Xiali forcefully pulled her hand away and turned to leave.
Lu Yin was frustrated. Her strength was still no match for Sheng Xiali’s.
Her legs were also no match. She had to take two steps for every one of Sheng Xiali’s.
The more Lu Yin walked, the more her head buzzed. The alcohol was really getting to her.

Lu Yin quickly took off her boots, put on the slippers, and walked in.
There was no chair in the room, so Lu Yin sat down on the only bed without hesitation, continuing to look around the room.
Although the room was small, it was very tidy. It didn’t look messy at all.

She looked up at Sheng Xiali, who was also staring at her.

“Remember to remind me tomorrow. I have a wish saved with you.”
Sheng Xiali hadn’t expected this situation. By the time she realized what was happening, Lu Yin was already in her quilt.
She went over and tried to pull the quilt: “Get up.”

Sheng Xiali took a deep breath, silently looking at her. Seeing Lu Yin’s thin sweater, she gave in, put the quilt back over her, and went into the bathroom.
Lu Yin’s eyes curved into a smile. She patted her hot face and felt a burst of excitement. She didn’t know if it was the alcohol or the joy in her heart, but she wanted to shout.
Seeing that Sheng Xiali’s back was to her while she was filling a cup with water, Lu Yin quickly got up, took out the red envelope she had prepared from her down jacket at the foot of the bed, and put it under Sheng Xiali’s pillow.

“This chocolate is so delicious. It’s filled with alcohol. Try it.”

Finally, just as Lu Yin felt her breathing return to normal and was about to ask Sheng Xiali what this meant, the noise outside suddenly became louder. The TV upstairs and next door also turned up.
In the distance, a bell rang.
It was New Year’s Eve countdown!
Lu Yin stopped what she was about to say and started counting down with the noise outside.
“10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1~”
The countdown ended. Lu Yin turned her head, her lips almost touching Sheng Xiali’s. Her soft breath was filled with joy: “Sheng Xiali, Happy New Year.”
