The Villainess Is Pretending to Be Sweet Again Today (Transmigration) - Chapter 9
In the teacher’s office, Tan Zhixing and a few others were covering their faces and wailing. Although it looked serious, Long Huaichang knew she hadn’t actually used much force—their exaggerated cries were clearly malicious.
The homeroom teacher sighed at the sight of the three boys howling in pain. The children at this school all came from wealthy or influential families, far beyond what a mere teacher could handle. After some thought, she decided to start with routine reprimands.
“Fighting as soon as you arrive at school—what’s wrong with you all?” She rolled her eyes at the four present. “Three boys can’t even take on one girl? How embarrassing.”
Tan Zhixing held his cheek and protested, “Teacher, why don’t you ask what rank Long Huaichang is?”
Ignoring him, the teacher said, “Enough talking from all of you. Go to the school clinic first, and if there are any serious issues, we’ll send you to the hospital.”
Then she turned to Long Huaichang. “Since you threw the first punch, you’re at fault here. Call your parents to come in.”
Tan Zhixing snorted. “Teacher, have you forgotten? The Long family’s all dead. Where would she get parents from?”
A cold glint flashed in Long Huaichang’s eyes as she turned to attack him again. The teacher quickly intercepted, first ushering the other boys out.
Watching Tan Zhixing’s retreating figure, Long Huaichang burned with resentment.
What trash, daring to speak to her like that.
If the teacher hadn’t arrived so quickly this morning, she would’ve knocked his teeth out!
The homeroom teacher shivered slightly under Long Huaichang’s icy gaze, adopting a troubled expression. “Long Huaichang, I’ve heard about your family situation.”
Standing motionless in the office, Long Huaichang fixed her ink-black eyes on the woman without speaking.
After a pause, the teacher continued, “When do you plan to pay your tuition?”
Still, Long Huaichang remained silent.
“The school accounting department needs it by the end of this month at the latest,” the teacher said casually. “If you can’t pay, we’ll have to process your suspension paperwork.”

Meanwhile.
At the new media company where Nuo Yang worked, colleagues chatted over breakfast.
It wasn’t that they lacked work—media professionals tended to keep nocturnal hours, and breaking news rarely happened first thing in the morning. So everyone happily gathered for breakfast together.
Having already eaten, Nuo Yang skipped the gathering to organize materials for the day’s work—part of her daily routine as an intern editor.
“Raising kids these days is truly difficult,” sighed the HR manager, leaning against the editorial department’s glass doorframe with a cup of soy milk.
“My little treasure started high school this year with excellent grades, so we wanted to aim higher.” The woman complained, “That elite private school—the best in our city—charges 300,000 to 400,000 per semester. If not for my husband’s business, we could never afford it.”
Nuo Yang’s ears perked up.
Could that “best elite school” be the one Long Huaichang attended?
In the original story, after Long Huaichang’s  mother passed away, she couldn’t afford tuition and eventually dropped out of school. Struggling through life, she got herself into trouble. Being young and unskilled, she used her body as leverage, making deals with many wealthy and powerful individuals.
This became a lifelong shadow, making her feel unworthy of the pure and kind-hearted female lead when she finally met someone she loved.
“Yeah,” Cheng Bai chimed in from her workstation. “Sister Lu, it’s fortunate your family has some savings. Otherwise, raising a child could bankrupt you, leaving no money for personal expenses.”
Sister Lu from HR beamed at the compliment. She meant no harm but, like many middle-aged women, couldn’t resist gossiping about trivial matters—something the office had grown accustomed to.
“Absolutely! Look at this gold bracelet I bought last weekend from the Heritage collection. Isn’t it lovely?”
“That must’ve costed a fortune! It looks stunning on you—elegant and sophisticated.”
“I know, right~”
Chu Kexin rolled her eyes at Cheng Bai’s mindless flattery and scooted her chair toward Nuo Yang. “Nuo, how’s the research I asked you to compile this morning coming along?”
Nuo Yang replied, “Still working on it. I’ve gone through all the Long family documents, but it’s proving quite challenging.”
Chu Kexin peeked at the screen. “Mrs. Long keeps a low profile. Let’s see if we can dig up some information on her by noon—she’ll be today’s feature.”
Nuo Yang paused her scrolling. “This Mrs. Long… did she inherit the Long family fortune?”
“Of course,” Chu Kexin said casually. “Mr. Long had no children, so she’s the primary heir. Though there are rumors of an illegitimate daughter—she’d probably get a share too.”
Nuo Yang nodded. “From what I gather, she was already from a wealthy family. Her marriage to Mr. Long was purely business.”
“See how pitiful women are? Forced to marry stinking men for money.”
“Hah…”
Just then, a notification chimed from Nuo Yang’s messaging app.
Lawyer Chen: [Nuo, your great-grandmother’s assets have been transferred to your name. The remaining properties should be under your name by month’s end. Here’s the notarized inventory for your review.]
Nuo Yang opened the file. The elderly woman had owned no companies—just a few overseas properties, cars, and liquid assets.
Lawyer Chen: Her financial advisor was from our firm too. The boss wants to know if you’d like to retain their services.
Lawyer Chen: A good financial advisor can net you two to three million monthly. As long as you’re not buying villas every day, this should last you a while.
Nuo Yang smiled wryly and replied: I’m clueless about these things. Let’s stick to great-grandma’s original arrangements.
Lawyer Chen: Got it. I’ll have you sign the contracts later.
After a moment’s thought, Nuo Yang added: Lawyer Chen, about that apartment your agent showed me—I’d like to purchase it.
Attorney Chen: “Not bad, you’re settling down here now. Having your own place is definitely more convenient. When are you planning to buy? I can help you with the paperwork.”
Nuo Yang: “As soon as possible. Thank you, Attorney Chen.”
Attorney Chen: “No problem~”
The day passed quickly. Nuo Yang didn’t work overtime much today and left before 6 pm, just in time to make it home for dinner.
As Nuo Yang entered the residential complex, she noticed some nosy people staring at her. She wondered what rumors were being spread about her, but she didn’t really care.
Pushing the door open, Nuo Yang saw Long Huaichang wearing shorts, lifting her T-shirt uniform to apply something to her body.
Long Huaichang probably didn’t expect Nuo Yang to come home so early either, freezing in place with her shirt still lifted.
Noticing several purple bruises on the girl’s fair stomach, Nuo Yang asked with concern, “What happened? Did you get hurt?”
Long Huaichang blinked and quickly pulled her shirt down. “It’s nothing.”
Nuo Yang dropped her bag and walked over, spotting the ointment on the coffee table. “Were you in a car accident or something?”
Long Huai Chang: “…”
This person really didn’t wish her well.
“No,” Long Huaichang said. “I fell during PE class while playing ball.”
Sitting beside her sympathetically, Nuo Yang said, “That must hurt. Don’t move, let me apply some medicine for you.”
Long Huaichang initially wanted to refuse, but seeing Nuo Yang’s earnest expression, she remained silent and obediently lifted her shirt to let Nuo Yang tend to her wounds.
Nuo Yang worked efficiently, applying ointment to Long Huaichang’s  stomach, lower back, and shoulders before letting her put her clothes back on.
As Long Huaichang watched Nuo Yang pack up the medicine, she felt curious. Ever since learning that this ‘sister’ of hers went to nightclubs to watch erotic dances, she thought Nuo Yang might take this chance to grope her a bit. But contrary to expectations, Nuo Yang didn’t seem interested in her body at all.
Was she not developed enough?
Pouting in dissatisfaction, Long Huaichang found this truly disappointing.
Completely unaware of these thoughts, Nuo Yang finished organizing the first aid kit before turning to say, “Speaking of which, isn’t it time for you to pay tuition?”
Long Huaichang paused while dressing and looked up at Nuo Yang. “How did you know?”
Nuo Yang replied somewhat sheepishly, “A colleague’s child goes to your school too. I overheard them talking about it today.”
Long Huaichang studied Nuo Yang for a while, unable to tell whether the woman was being truthful.
When no answer came, Nuo Yang didn’t get upset—she was growing accustomed to Long Huaichang’s  uncommunicative nature. “I happen to have some money saved up. I can lend you enough to cover the tuition first.”
Long Huaichang remained silent.
Nuo Yang asked, “How much is the tuition?”
“200,000.”
Nodding with a smile, Nuo Yang said, “Alright, I’ll transfer the money to you tomorrow so you can pay it.”
Tilting her head, Long Huaichang questioned, “Where did you get that kind of money?”
“Well… my hometown was demolished for redevelopment, and we got compensated with five apartments,” Nuo Yang lied effortlessly. “I sold one, so I can lend you the money now. You can pay me back when you’re older.”
Long Huaichang stared intently at Nuo Yang and slowly said, “I don’t have money to pay you back.”
“That’s alright,” Nuo Yang replied with a smile. “As long as you’re safe and sound, that’s all that matters.”
She had already made up her mind to set Long Huaichang on the right path—no more villainy for her! Let someone else play the antagonist.
Long Huaichang’s dark eyes held an inscrutable expression as she reached up with her slender fingers to tug at the collar of her T-shirt, revealing delicate collarbones.
“Big sister, you like women, don’t you?” Long Huaichang said calmly. “Last time at the nightclub, you went to see the strip show, didn’t you?”
Nuo Yang froze in shock.
Long Huaichang continued, “I don’t like owing favors. Tell me a number—how much would one night with me be worth?”
Nuo Yang’s scalp prickled with alarm. Seeing Long Huaichang about to undress, she hastily grabbed a blanket from the couch and threw it over the younger woman’s head.
“W-what nonsense are you spouting?!” Nuo Yang’s face burned red as she stammered, “I invested in you because I think you’re a good kid with great potential! Don’t get the wrong idea!”
How could she… how could she flirt with her like this?!
She really was a bad woman after all!!
Long Huaichang pulled the blanket off her head and asked with innocent curiosity, “Big sister really doesn’t want me? It would be my first time.”
Nuo Yang’s ears turned crimson with embarrassment. “No! And don’t ever say things like that to anyone—not to anyone at all!” she snapped.
Without waiting for a response, Nuo Yang turned and fled.
Watching Nuo Yang disappear around the second-floor corner, Long Huaichang suddenly relaxed her posture and sprawled across the couch.
This ‘big sister’ of hers was so adorable when flustered.
