The Villainess Wants to Indulge in 'Moe' to Her Heart's Content! - Episode 2
“W-What…? Who are you…?”
The voice beyond the veil responded hesitantly.
“Who…? Lady Letizia, what do you mean? Are you feeling unwell?”
The figure behind the sheer fabric sounded confused.
Letizia furrowed her brows.
There was no malice or hostility in the voice. That didn’t necessarily mean she was safe, but wasn’t it even more terrifying if someone could break into a young woman’s room without any ill intent?
Still, that wasn’t what concerned her the most.
“Leti…tzia…?”
It was a name she had seen—heard—countless times recently.
Why would an intruder know it?
(No—this isn’t the time for that! I need to call for help—now!)
But her fingers couldn’t find her phone. It should have been right by her pillow.
A cold sweat trickled down her back. Letizia trembled as she quickly glanced to her side.
“Huh…?”
She was lying on soft, luxurious sheets made of cashmere silk, patterned with some sort of crest in white against a pale blue background.
But her phone was nowhere to be found. Neither was her blaring alarm clock. Nor was the old buckwheat pillow she had been using since her school days.
Instead, four plush cushions surrounded her.
And the bed—was massive. Bigger than a double.
Just pressing her palm against the mattress was enough to tell her it was high quality. It was leagues above the one she usually slept on. Even the blanket she was clutching was silk.
“What… is this…?”
Nothing was familiar.
Her gaze darted around, searching for anything that made sense—until she froze.
Letizia inhaled sharply, her chest tightening with fear as she returned her focus to the shadowy figure beyond the veil.
This wasn’t right. None of it.
There was no such veil in her room.
Why was she inside it now?
(W-What is happening?!)
Her heartbeat pounded faster and faster. She clasped her trembling hands together in front of her chest.
(This isn’t my home… is it?)
“Lady Letizia…?”
The figure’s voice—laced with concern—made her swallow hard.
The only relief was that there was no malice in their tone.
Summoning every ounce of courage, Letizia reached for the veil in front of her.
“—!”
