The Villainous Aristocrat's Efforts Led to a Genuine Harem - Episode 31
Episode 31
After getting weapons prepared for the two of us… we moved to the dungeon.
“…Ryō’s teleportation magic is super convenient.”
“They call it spatial magic, apparently. He helped me clean up the trash earlier using it too.”
“…Convenient. I want one in every household.”
I wish they wouldn’t use my spatial magic for chores.
It’s the three of us—me, Inaesia, and Vilias.
Just as we started walking through the dungeon of the Mithril Golem, Inaesia asked:
“Vilias, can you fight?”
“A little. Master said it too—an excellent blacksmith collects their own materials.”
Vilias showed the small hammer hanging at her waist. She then gave it a light swing.
“Hmm… I see. So that’s your weapon… that hammer?”
“Yes……………… phew.”
After a few practice swings, Vilias let her arms hang down as if tired.
Inaesia looked at her with concern.
“Hey, aren’t you a bit tired already?”
“…Not tired. …I want you to carry me.”
“You *are* tired, aren’t you! Hey, Ryō! Vilias looks like she’s got no stamina at all!”
“Just kidding. …I’m not good at close combat. I plan to make weapons and throw them to fight.”
“But… can you make them?”
“If I replay the times everyone praised me… somehow. I might not be able to make the best stuff though.”
…Well, if Vilias trains properly, her potential is high.
She’s suited for long-range attacks—making various weapons during battle and throwing them.
As we were talking and moving forward, the Mithril Golem appeared.
Vilias flinched and raised her shoulders. I turned my eyes to it.
“Alright… let’s begin. Just in case, Inaesia, guard Vilias and watch the surroundings.”
“…Got it.”
Against a Mithril Golem, it’s probably better if I fight alone.
The Mithril Golem noticed us and stared with glowing red eyes.
“…Gogagaga.”
It let out a growl-like sound and spread its arms wide in a threatening manner.
I kicked off the ground and charged in all at once. And the Golem slammed its fist into the ground.
Dodging the shockwave, I slashed at it with both of my Gladius.
The slashes… went through.
“Gogaga…!”
“No way… the attack really worked!?”
“…You didn’t believe in me?”
Vilias looked at Inaesia with a gloomy stare at her shout.
“N-No, um…”
“It’s okay. I’m kind of surprised too… that my own skills are this good.”
“…Well, I kind of want to comment on that. But it’s true.”
They’re taking it easy… but still, I had enough room in the battle to check my surroundings.
…My attacks go through better than before. But I still need to land a lot of hits.
Vilias seems to feel the same way—she’s looking at me like she’s thinking about something.
I hope she can use this as a reference for making a new weapon.
I dodged the Golem’s attacks and drove the Gladius deep into the spot I had slashed repeatedly.
“Gaka!?”
Maybe it took more damage than expected—its scream grew louder.
Seeing a chance, I stepped in deeper and slashed again.
…the Mithril Golem’s body crumbled and it dropped a magic stone and mithril.
“…Whew, that’s that.”
“Amazing… As soon as you started using Vilias’s weapon, your attacks worked easily.”
“That’s what I’ve been saying. Vilias is an excellent blacksmith.”
Vilias looked embarrassed when praised.
“…Why are you getting embarrassed?”
“…B-Because getting praised when I’m not ready for it is embarrassing.”
What kind of habit is that?
“I see. Your blacksmithing is plenty amazing. If you can make something using this mithril, we might be able to take down the Golems even easier.”
I handed the mithril I had collected to Vilias.
She stared at it and looked like she was thinking deeply.
“…Wait a bit. I think I’m almost there—almost have the shape.”
“Got it. We’re supposed to be investigating the dungeon anyway. Is it okay if we walk while doing that?”
“Yeah, it’s fine.”
…Vilias kept glaring at the mithril for a while. So the rest of us walked deeper into the dungeon.
