The White Moonlight’s Exclusive Alpha (Entertainment) - Chapter 1
The pink strawberry mousse cake sat on a pristine table, looking visibly sweet.
The thin woman at the table slowly raised her fork, scooped up a piece of cream, and after a moment’s hesitation, put it in her mouth.
The sweetness was almost imperceptible, as if she was eating a piece of sponge that melted in her mouth.
The woman gently put down her fork, her pale, thin hands with protruding veins slowly rose to cover her delicate, pale face.
Tears dripped onto the white tablecloth, soaking into little circles.
At 30 years old, Mu Xue was about to lose her sense of taste due to a condition called “delayed differentiation.”

Tang Xiaoyang took a deep breath, turned off her phone, and threw it back into her purse.
The taxi driver in the front kept sneaking glances at the girl in the back through the rearview mirror. After all, it was his first time seeing a passenger in an evening gown riding in a taxi.
The girl looked to be under 20, wearing a dark blue floor-length dress with shimmering sequins, and a big, thick down jacket over it. Her thick black hair was neatly pinned up, and her face was fair, with rosy lips, almond-shaped eyes, and thick eyebrows. She was as beautiful as a delicate porcelain doll, like a princess from an animated movie who had stepped into the real world.
Unfortunately, this “princess doll” didn’t seem to be in a good mood, frowning as she stared out the window.
Tang Xiaoyang was indeed in a bad mood. No one would feel good after being slandered by her attacker, blamed for a deep and murky crime, dragged through the mud on social media, unilaterally terminated by a company that kicked her while she was down, and then having to pay a hefty penalty fee.
But Tang Xiaoyang wasn’t worried about those things right now. First, there was no point in worrying. Second, she couldn’t imagine things getting any worse.
Third… Tang Xiaoyang’s eyes fell on the invitation in her hand.
It was a well-made and beautifully bound invitation, clearly custom-designed and produced.
‘Miss Tang Xiaoyang, you are cordially invited to my birthday party at the Mu Residence in Jinshan on January 1, 2025.
Mu Xue’
The handwriting on the invitation was neat and graceful, as beautiful and meticulous as its author.
Tang Xiaoyang, however, found it glaring, just as she had the first time she saw Mu Xue at the Mu family home when she was a child. A glaring beauty, a glaring grace. All the world’s finest things seemed to embrace the girl, a blossoming bud, and admirers swarmed around her.
This was the tenth birthday invitation Tang Xiaoyang had received from Mu Xue, but it was the first time she would attend.
She couldn’t quite figure out the reason herself. This was not the reunion she had envisioned.
She should be at some glamorous awards ceremony, saying to the long-retired producer Mu Xue in the audience, “Miss Mu, you are a thing of the past.”
Instead, she was a pariah, a homeless stray, despised by all.
What was the point of seeing her? To beg for pity and protection?
Dear Miss Mu, this wretched illegitimate daughter has nowhere left to go. The rental fee for this dress alone has cost her half of her remaining assets. If you won’t even give her a glance, she will simply die of heartbreak right in front of you.
Tang Xiaoyang was briefly amused by her imagined scene, but she knew she would never do that.
She would rather apologize to that scum Qin Chang than see even a hint of pity in Mu Xue’s eyes.
She was coming to the party simply to catch a glimpse of Mu Xue from afar.
Like someone about to freeze to death in the wilderness, wanting one last look at the brilliant sun.
Even if the sun had never paused for her.
The Mu Residence, located at the foot of Jinshan in the suburbs, was now brightly lit. This was a place specifically used by the Mu family to host banquets, and it looked more like a small castle than a house.
Below the “castle,” a long line of cars drove neatly into the Mu Residence’s parking lot, the continuous stream of headlights turning the entire road into a golden ribbon of light.
In this ribbon of luxury cars, the taxi was the most unique.
An Alpha security guard at the parking lot entrance tapped on the taxi window. The driver rolled it down.
“This is a private parking lot; please exit that way.” The guard assumed it was someone who had sneaked in to watch the excitement.
But as the window rolled down, he caught a faint, enticing sweet scent, like a cream cake.
An Omega? No, that’s not right. He took a deep breath and instinctively released his own pheromones in a counter-response.
The person was clearly a young and powerful Alpha, and though she wasn’t deliberately putting pressure on him, a cold sweat began to bead on his back.
The rear window slowly rolled down. The girl was completely wrapped in the thick down jacket, revealing only a small, fair face. Her bright black eyes calmly swept over him as she handed him an invitation.
“I don’t have a car, but I have an invitation. Can I go in?”
The guard subconsciously took the invitation, opened it, and quickly closed it, handing it back with both hands respectfully.
He couldn’t understand why a guest personally invited by Mu Xue would arrive in a taxi.
Is this what rich people do for fun?
Tang Xiaoyang didn’t look at him again. She rolled up the window and said to the gossipy driver, “Let’s go.”
“Miss, you’ve got some serious connections. Do you know the owner of this house?” The driver couldn’t resist asking.
Tang Xiaoyang looked out at the brightly lit castle, her long, thick eyelashes casting a small shadow beneath her eyes.
In Mu Xue’s indifferent, light gray eyes, she had once seen two completely different versions of herself.
One was smiling like a dog waiting for its owner’s affection, while the other was seething with hatred.
But that actually had nothing to do with Mu Xue.
What connection could Tang Xiaoyang have with Mu Xue?
What connection could the Tang family’s shameful illegitimate daughter have with the Mu family’s cherished eldest daughter?
What connection could a C-list pop singer have with a respected, highly-acclaimed actress and producer?
Perhaps neither of those versions of herself would be as memorable as the time she bit Mu Xue’s wrist.
The girl’s gaze returned, and she sneered, “Yeah, we’re enemies.”
Meanwhile, in the master bedroom of the Mu Residence.
The frail woman at the dressing table, still wearing a thick sweater in the warm room, was meticulously applying makeup.
When she raised her hand, the cuff of her white sweater slid down, revealing a segment of her equally pale and slender wrist. There, a nearly invisible tooth mark could be seen.
Makeup concealed her pale face and lips, hiding the illness she didn’t want anyone to know about.
Mu Xue’s private doctor, an Omega named Zhou Shu, stood behind her, sighing.
The woman slowly turned her head, expressing her curiosity with her eyes.
“Oh, boss, we’re both Omegas, so why are you so much prettier than me?”
Mu Xue closed her makeup case, her cat-like peach-blossom eyes narrowing with a half-smile. “Dumped again?”
“Take out the ‘again.’ This is only the thirteenth time.” Zhou Shu shrugged. “I just said I wouldn’t accept a permanent mark, and he broke up with me on the spot. Are all Alphas primitive now?”
“Maybe you could try dating a Beta?” Mu Xue had never believed there was a hierarchy among secondary genders. There were just as many exceptional Betas as Alphas and Omegas.
“No way. The size isn’t right for Betas,” Zhou Shu refused bluntly.
Mu Xue pressed a hand to her forehead. “…Is that important?”
“It’s very important to me,” Zhou Shu said earnestly.
Mu Xue: “Noted.”
Zhou Shu: “I swear, when I think about how beautiful you are, but you’re 30 and still haven’t had s3x, I get genuinely anxious and feel a profound sense of loss.”
Mu Xue wasn’t offended by her bluntness; she just smiled faintly. “I don’t go into estrus.”
“What century is this? s3x has nothing to do with pheromones anymore,” Zhou Shu scoffed. “Just pretend you’re a Beta.”
Mu Xue didn’t respond, just smiled and shook her head.
With her makeup on, Mu Xue shed her endearing sickliness. Although she still looked slender and fragile, her oval face, willow-leaf eyebrows, peach-blossom eyes, thin lips, and straight nose, paired with her deep, light gray eyes, gave her an admirable appearance.
Zhou Shu clutched her heart. “Boss, if you were a Beta, I’d be willing to give us a shot. Just looking at your face, I feel like I could…”
Her words were cut short by a knock on the door.
“Come in,” Mu Xue said.
The door was pushed open decisively from the outside, and a female Beta with broad shoulders and a narrow waist walked in.
“Miss, it’s almost time for the reception.” The woman, in a crisp black suit, had a cold expression but a respectful demeanor. She was Mu Xue’s bodyguard, Bai Jing.
“Let’s go then.” Mu Xue stood up, took one last look to make sure her makeup was perfect, and followed Bai Jing to the bustling ballroom.
In the least conspicuous corner of the ballroom, Tang Xiaoyang was focused on her late dinner. Her cheeks, already a little chubby, were pushed out by the food, making her look like a hamster nibbling on a peanut.
Suddenly, two sickly sweet and cloying Omega pheromones enveloped her. Tang Xiaoyang froze, slowly swallowed the steak in her mouth, and coldly looked up at the newcomers.
They were two handsome male Omegas in suits, both with a smarmy smile that made your skin crawl.
“Well, if it isn’t Miss Tang? You actually have the time to come to someone else’s birthday party?” said the taller Omega.
“What are you saying? Even if her background is questionable, Miss Tang is still the second daughter of the Tang family, after all,” the shorter Omega chimed in. While it sounded like he was defending Tang Xiaoyang, the sarcastic tone was full of malice.
The two Omegas’ voices weren’t loud, and everyone else in the hall was busy socializing, so no one noticed the tension in their little corner.
“What’s your connection to Qin Chang?” Tang Xiaoyang’s thick eyebrows furrowed. It took a lot of effort to restrain herself from throwing her plate at their faces.
This was Mu Xue’s party, and she didn’t want Mu Xue to have to clean up her mess.
“Mr. Qin is a good friend of ours.” The taller Omega’s greedy eyes scanned the beautiful, toned muscles of the girl’s arms. “He asked me to tell you that if you’re a good girl, his offer still stands.”
A dimly lit, hazy room, the same nauseatingly sweet Omega scent, and a man’s wandering hands.
“Miss Tang, are you interested in becoming my Alpha?”
Memories rushed back to Tang Xiaoyang like a dark current, bringing with them a powerful wave of nausea.
Tang Xiaoyang clenched her fists and stood up abruptly.
Because of her Alpha gender, she was already several inches taller than the average woman. Now, wearing heels, her bright eyes filled with disgust as she coldly looked down at the two Omegas.
Her sweet, cake-like pheromones instantly became overwhelmingly oppressive. Both Omegas’ legs went weak, and they almost knelt down on the spot, unable to utter another word.
The girl walked past the two Omegas without another glance. Her normally clear voice was now a low growl, like a beast.
“He can come and tell me that himself if he wants to lose another two teeth.”
There’s no end to the trash in the world, but at least she would get to see her beautiful sun soon.
After Tang Xiaoyang walked away, the two Omegas finally exhaled a long breath.
But they also started laughing excitedly, their bodies trembling.
Shorter one: “Did you smell that?”
Taller one: “I did. Qin Chang wasn’t lying to us. She’s a top-tier Alpha, probably still untouched. We’ve hit the jackpot today.”
“Are the things ready?”
“Already taken care of.”
“Good. Just thinking about a taste of that little one makes my mouth water.”
At the same time, Mu Xue stepped onto the stage.
“Thank you all so much for coming to my birthday party.”
The woman on stage was slender with a slim waist and long legs. She wore a simple casual outfit but still looked incredibly elegant, her beautiful face as radiant as ever. Everyone in the audience was fixated on her.
With gazes of admiration, love, envy, and even greed.
Tang Xiaoyang stood at the very edge of the crowd, watching the woman on stage who looked so bright she seemed to have her own soft glow. Her eyes welled up.
It had been a very, very long time since she had seen the real Mu Xue.
The girl’s fervent gaze lingered on the woman, almost with a sense of obsession.
She didn’t notice the sinister shadow that was already beginning to fall over her.
