The White Moonlight’s Exclusive Alpha (Entertainment) - Chapter 3
Delayed differentiation, or “Delayed Differentiation Syndrome,” is a condition that only appears in differentiated Omega individuals, with an incidence rate of one in 100,000.
The symptoms of the syndrome are that although the patient develops an Omega gland during the differentiation period at age 18, they do not experience estrus and cannot recognize the pheromones of others.
The greatest side effect of the syndrome is that as the patient ages, the symptoms, which were initially limited to delayed estrus, gradually extend to other senses. Patients will progressively lose their sense of taste, hearing, sight, smell, and touch.
In existing cases, patients with delayed differentiation generally lose all five senses around the age of 30, becoming “people” who are still technically alive but are unable to connect with the outside world.
Medically, delayed differentiation is still classified as an incurable “terminal illness.” Although there are drugs that can curb its spread, they all cause significant harm to the patient’s body.
Despite this, delayed differentiation is not entirely without hope of a cure. Of the 30,000 existing cases in the world, three people have successfully been cured of the disease.
The method of cure is through marking.
Patients with delayed differentiation, while unable to sense the pheromones of most people, will react to the pheromones of certain Alphas.
If marked by one of these specific Alphas, the delayed differentiation can be cured without medication.
Such an Alpha is referred to by patients with delayed differentiation as “the cure.”
It’s worth noting that different patients react to different pheromones, meaning “the cure” cannot be shared.
When she first contracted delayed differentiation, Mu Xue also held on to a heart unwilling to give up, poring over every piece of literature on the condition.
But after gaining a clear understanding of the disease, she chose to use medication to delay its spread and then worked relentlessly, exhausting herself in the process. She debuted at 18, and by 25, she had won almost every major domestic and international film and television award. Today, at 30, Mu Xue is an exceptionally talented producer in the country.
Many people joked that Mu Xue accomplished in 30 years what most people couldn’t in a lifetime.
Only Mu Xue herself knew that her life was destined to be far shorter than an ordinary person’s.
A one-in-10,000 chance of a cure wasn’t worth the gamble. The 18-year-old Mu Xue had already made her choice.
What she wanted was a short but brilliant, sparkling, and flawless life.
Ironically, on Mu Xue’s 30th birthday, fate chose for her again.
How life plays tricks on you.
In the hazy grip of her estrus, Mu Xue distinctly smelled the girl’s pheromones: the sweet, cake-like scent that made you want to eat.
This scent suits Tang Xiaoyang perfectly, Mu Xue thought hazily.
“Mu Xue, you…” The girl’s voice trembled, seeming both far away and close.
Mu Xue’s ears were ringing from the fever, and her vision was dim, but she could still clearly feel the enticing pheromones getting closer.
“Don’t come any closer,” her throat was aching, but she managed to speak steadily.
Mu Xue was unable to move, but her mind was still stubbornly fighting her instincts.
“You need to leave. Go find Bai Jing, go find Zhou Shu, tell her… just go.”
Mu Xue couldn’t think of what to tell Zhou Shu. In fact, she didn’t believe Zhou Shu could solve the current situation.
But she still wanted Tang Xiaoyang to leave. An Omega in estrus and an Alpha together—it was obvious what would happen.
Tang Xiaoyang hated her so much that being intimate with her would be no different than being violated by those two Omegas.
Whatever happened to her was her own problem. The girl just came to a birthday party; she shouldn’t have to endure one disaster after another.
It grew quiet, and Mu Xue frowned in confusion. She tried to lift her head to see behind her, but she couldn’t muster the strength.
“You want me to leave, looking like this?” Tang Xiaoyang’s nose felt raw, and her voice became tearful as she stared at the woman curled up and trembling.
She knew that leaving was the smartest and most appropriate thing to do, but being so directly dismissed by Mu Xue made her already-fragile nerves—heightened by the estrus—feel incredibly hurt.
Deep in her heart, there was a more private fear: Mu Xue’s estrus couldn’t be stopped with inhibitors, and even the best doctor couldn’t find a solution in such a short time.
What would happen to Mu Xue then?
Tang Xiaoyang was worried sick about Mu Xue’s current suffering, and at the same time, she was afraid of an unspeakable possibility.
She didn’t want to leave.
Mu Xue’s mind was not functioning well. She only thought Tang Xiaoyang was worried and wouldn’t leave, so in this emergency, she had to be blunt: “If you don’t go now, you might end up sleeping with me.”
Tang Xiaoyang: “…” She took a full minute to confirm that the words had actually come out of Mu Xue’s mouth, and she concluded that Mu Xue was indeed too feverish to be lucid.
“If I leave, are you going to sleep with someone else?” Tang Xiaoyang felt her own mind wasn’t entirely clear as she followed Mu Xue’s logic.
“…I don’t know.” The question was too difficult for the current Mu Xue. The woman painfully furrowed her brows, her deep peach-blossom eyes filled with tears, and she shook her head.
Seeing Mu Xue’s flushed and miserable face, Tang Xiaoyang clenched her jaw, her tightly-fisted hands almost tearing the bedsheets. A crazy idea was lodged in her throat, almost bursting out.
To do that would be utterly shameless and despicable.
Even though Tang Xiaoyang adored Mu Xue, even though she dreamed of being with this woman.
She remembered clearly that this woman looked down on her.
She couldn’t be with someone who looked down on her. That would be an insult to both of them.
She wanted to love and be loved with dignity.
Tang Xiaoyang made up her mind, turning to get off the bed. “I’ll go find them.”
The woman on the bed, fighting her estrus, seemed pleased by her actions. Her lips curved up, and her voice was low and hoarse. “Good Xiao Yang.”
Tang Xiaoyang paused. Mu Xue’s words reminded her of their first meeting, which was probably one of the few happy times in her life.
She had been innocently drawn to Mu Xue and was foolishly unable to detect the other woman’s disdain for her.
So she had followed Mu Xue around like a silly dog, wagging her tail.
She had never had any dignity or sense around Mu Xue, so why bother pretending now?
Anger and resentment filled Tang Xiaoyang’s head, and she finally asked the question.
“What if I sleep with you?”
The girl returned to the bed, leaned down, gently cupped the woman’s chin, and looked directly into her tear-filled eyes.
It was ironic. This was the first time Tang Xiaoyang had a clear advantage over Mu Xue.
It happened while Mu Xue was half-dead from estrus, and Tang Xiaoyang had just taken an inhibitor.
But the girl was still incredibly young and vulnerable. If Mu Xue had said no, she would have immediately backed off and not overstepped in the slightest.
But Mu Xue didn’t refuse. She was just confused about why Tang Xiaoyang, who disliked her, would make such a proposal.
She tried to get a clear look at the girl’s face, but her vision was blurred by tears.
When Tang Xiaoyang saw that Mu Xue hadn’t rejected her, she said the rest of what was on her mind.
“You just need an Alpha. I am an Alpha. You don’t have to go looking for anyone else.”
This was to convince Mu Xue, but even more so, to convince herself.
“Or are you saying that even in this situation, you can’t accept an illegitimate Alpha?”
This was a question born of both resentment and a test.
The girl’s words landed softly, and in her dazed state, Mu Xue still managed to grasp the root of the girl’s resentment.
“I don’t care about your background,” the woman’s words were strained but clear. Each word was a hot breath hitting the girl’s palm.
The woman’s slender, frail hand stroked the girl’s thick black hair, her voice gentle and firm, as if sealing a pact with her words.
“If you don’t dislike it, we can do this. But, please, don’t mark me.”
The next second, the slender woman was pressed into the soft bed by the sweet-smelling girl.
Tang Xiaoyang was like a hungry young beast, lunging fiercely but only taking her food in the gentlest way.
The woman’s hazy eyes, soft and sweet lips, snow-white, delicate skin, her waist so small it could be held in one hand, her long, fragile body.
She savored it all with a mix of greed and reverence.
The heat provided a certain protection for these two “newbies” in every sense of the word, allowing them to rely on instinct to find pleasure without getting hurt.
The hot air wrapped around them, thick with potent pheromones. Tang Xiaoyang felt her five senses dull in the steamy mist. Everything in the world ceased to matter except for the woman beneath her, who was equally consumed by the passion.
The woman who was once as distant as the moon was now truly in her hands. Mu Xue clung to her like a frail vine, her delicate eyebrows tightly furrowed, her fine eyelashes trembling. Tears filled her bewitching peach-blossom eyes. Her once pale lips were now rosy and slightly parted, releasing soft pants like a small animal. Her porcelain-white face was flushed, resembling a delicious pastry.
For the first time, Tang Xiaoyang truly felt Mu Xue’s vulnerability.
This was the actress who worked through the night, never leaving the set for minor injuries. This was the producer with an astute eye for films, who could organize everything perfectly.
This was Mu Xue, the Mu Xue who had always been surrounded by glory and praise.
And now she was trapped in a helpless estrus with someone like herself, her long, weak limbs desperately clinging to her, yet with so little strength.
Her bones were delicate, her body frail. Tang Xiaoyang felt that with just a little more force, the fragile waist in her hands could snap.
Tang Xiaoyang recalled the 18-year-old Mu Xue, as radiant and vibrant as the morning sun, but she couldn’t reconcile that image with the weak woman beneath her.
How did you let yourself get like this?
Tang Xiaoyang’s full lips pressed into a thin line. Her long hands held her weight on the bed, cautiously and seriously fulfilling her duty.
She couldn’t ask. It wasn’t her place to ask.
All she could do was try to control the predatory instincts in her bl00d and minimize the harm this unexpected event caused the woman.
The girl’s gentle movements turned this sudden intimacy into a long and comfortable night of passion.
Mu Xue felt as if she was enveloped in a soft, sweet cake, dazed and content. Her consciousness slowly returned as the heat subsided, but she still couldn’t focus enough to think about anything.
She passively clung to the girl’s firm arms, her smooth, clean nails almost digging into the well-toned muscles of her back. She let out a series of rewarding pants in rhythm with the girl’s movements while her mind wandered aimlessly.
Her muscles feel so good. Is this what Alphas are like?
Xiao Yang has grown so tall. I remember the first time we met, she only came up to my chest.
This is indeed comfortable. No wonder Zhou Shu always talks about it.
It’s also terrifying. My body is so exhausted, but I don’t want to stop.
At the moment of climax, Mu Xue was on the verge of passing out, until a salty, cool drop of liquid fell on her cheek.
Mu Xue struggled to open her tired eyes and saw tears streaming from the girl’s beautiful eyes like broken pearls.
“Don’t cry,” her voice was hoarse as she reached up to wipe away the girl’s tears.
Don’t be scared, Xiao Yang. It’s okay.
