The White Moonlight’s Exclusive Alpha (Entertainment) - Chapter 4
Just before eight in the morning, Tang Xiaoyang was woken by her own internal clock.
Her body was tired and her eyes were swollen, but those were trivial matters.
She had slept with Mu Xue, and after it was over, she had sobbed uncontrollably in the woman’s arms.
This was no longer just embarrassing; it was so mortifying she felt like smashing her head against a wall until she got amnesia.
Tang Xiaoyang lay there stiffly, staring at the exquisitely decorated ceiling for five minutes before finally mustering the courage to look down at the woman nestled in her arms.
The woman was curled up, sleeping soundly and peacefully.
The faint, subtle scent of matcha pheromones wafted around her, proving that everything that happened last night wasn’t a dream.
After Mu Xue had finished comforting her, she had fallen into a deep sleep, so Tang Xiaoyang had taken care of the cleanup herself.
The woman’s eyes were also a little swollen, and her makeup-free face was pale and beautiful. Even this close, Tang Xiaoyang couldn’t find a single flaw.
The face looked a bit too young for her age; few people would doubt it if she claimed to be the same age as Tang Xiaoyang.
Mu Xue’s cool demeanor mostly came from her composed attitude and elegant aura.
But the Mu Xue lying peacefully in Tang Xiaoyang’s arms now was like a white rabbit dozing in its nest—pure and harmless, with no trace of her usual coldness.
The girl stretched out a long finger, stopping a few centimeters from the woman’s face, and traced the outline of her features in the air.
She actually had so many questions she wanted to ask.
Were you telling the truth when you said you didn’t care about my background?
How did you let your body get into this state?
But now, those questions had melted away like snow in the midday sun.
What was the point of asking? Would all that resentment and suspicion disappear because of a few words?
This was just an accidental one-night stand. Nothing should change because of it.
As Tang Xiaoyang was lost in thought, a sound came from the intercom on the nightstand.
“Miss…” It was the Beta who had rescued her yesterday.
Mu Xue’s eyelashes fluttered. She was about to wake up, and Tang Xiaoyang had no idea how to face her, so she simply closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep.
“What is it?” The woman next to her slowly sat up, connecting to the intercom.
“Nothing, I was just worried because you woke up late today.”
Mu Xue felt her muscles ache all over, and she almost fell back onto the bed.
She rubbed her cheeks to wake herself up and replied, “I’m fine. I just stayed up late taking care of Miss Tang.”
Tang Xiaoyang: “…” Was she being sarcastic about me crying?
Bai Jing’s voice was still flat. “Should I prepare breakfast for you now?”
“Yes…” After the tumultuous night, Mu Xue was indeed hungry. She turned to look at the girl still lying motionless on the bed and noticed her eyes were constantly moving under her eyelids.
She looks like she’s never learned how to act asleep.
Mu Xue chuckled to herself and didn’t expose her, saying to Bai Jing instead, “Prepare breakfast for two. Miss Tang’s portion should be bigger.”
“Yes…” Bai Jing agreed and then hung up.
Mu Xue stretched her tired body and gently patted the girl’s cheek. “Xiao Yang, it’s time to wake up.”
Tang Xiaoyang “slowly awakened,” and as soon as she opened her eyes, she was met with the woman’s gentle gaze. Last night, she had only managed to hastily put a bathrobe on Mu Xue.
As the woman leaned in to look at her, the faint red marks on her chest went right into Tang Xiaoyang’s line of sight.
Tang Xiaoyang’s face immediately turned bright red, and she buried her face in the blanket.
Mu Xue followed the girl’s gaze to herself. She wasn’t embarrassed, just a little confused.
You seemed to enjoy biting me yesterday, so why are you so shy now?
But she had no intention of forcing the ostrich to lift her head and got out of bed first.
“I’m going to wash up. You can get yourself together.”
Tang Xiaoyang listened to the bathroom door close before cautiously peeking her head out.
Mu Xue is as considerate as ever.
The girl, wearing a bathrobe, hugged her knees and stared blankly at the bathroom door.
A sudden phone ring startled her.
It was her purse, which Mu Xue had probably taken from her room and brought here yesterday.
Tang Xiaoyang picked up the phone. A man’s sharp voice came from the other end.
“Miss Tang, we agreed the gown was only for a one-day rental. Why haven’t you returned it yet?”
Tang Xiaoyang froze and instinctively looked down at the crumpled, unfortunate gown on the floor.
“There was a problem with the gown. I’ll buy it…”
Before she could finish, the man interrupted her.
“Don’t lie to me. Everyone in the industry knows you’ve had to sell your house because the company is hounding you for money. You, the great second daughter of the Tang family, wouldn’t really steal one of my gowns, would you?”
The man’s tone was sarcastic. Tang Xiaoyang wanted to hang up, but she knew she was the one who had broken the contract, so she patiently explained again.
“I really can’t pay right now. Give me a day, and I’ll give you the full amount.”
The man scoffed. “If I don’t get the full amount today, I’ll go to the reporters. With your reputation, Miss Tang, you can’t afford any more scandals.”
“You…” Tang Xiaoyang was about to say something else, but the woman behind her took the phone.
“Hello, Mr. Du. This is Mu Xue.”
After washing up, Mu Xue had changed out of the revealing bathrobe into a white silk shirt and loose suit pants. Her voice had returned to its low, magnetic tone, although it was a little hoarse.
The woman’s expression was calm and her tone was cold. She walked to the window, pulled back the curtains, and said, “I quite like Miss Tang’s gown. I didn’t know it was one of your pieces, Mr. Du.”
“M-M-Miss Mu?” The man was so terrified his legs went weak. He couldn’t understand how the Tang family’s illegitimate daughter, whom everyone despised, was now connected to the formidable Mu Xue.
Mu Xue didn’t acknowledge the man’s surprise and continued, “I will transfer the money to you shortly and send someone to retrieve the rental contract. Please have it ready, Mr. Du.”
“Yes, yes,” the man stammered in agreement.
“That will be all…” Mu Xue paused, then added, “While it’s important to stick to contracts in business, being too cold and inhumane probably won’t lead to long-term success.”
Without waiting for the man to argue, she hung up the phone.
Tang Xiaoyang stared blankly at the woman’s back.
The shirt was buttoned all the way up, hiding all traces of their intimacy. Her light makeup concealed her exhaustion. Having recovered from the estrus, Mu Xue was back to her cool and capable self.
Back to the person who made her heart flutter but had nothing to do with her.
While Tang Xiaoyang was lost in thought, the woman came over with the phone, bending down to meet the girl’s eyes.
“Why so dazed? Are you still tired?” The woman waved her hand in front of Tang Xiaoyang’s face, her light gray eyes filled with concern.
It must be raining red. I actually find Mu Xue cute like this.
Tang Xiaoyang’s face was solemn as she slapped Mu Xue’s hand away and said stiffly, “Thank you. I’ll pay you back.”
Mu Xue didn’t seem offended by Tang Xiaoyang’s ungrateful attitude and simply said in a calm tone, “I’ve left some clothes for you inside. Get changed and come out for breakfast.”
“Okay…” the girl muttered, not looking at her.
Tang Xiaoyang was five centimeters taller than Mu Xue and had a more solid build. Luckily, most of Mu Xue’s clothes were loose-fitting, so they weren’t too tight on her.
In the mirror, the girl wore a sky-blue shirt and suit pants, standing tall and looking serious.
Aside from her face, which still looked a bit childish, she resembled a cover model for a business magazine.
The “cover model” looked at her reflection, feeling awkward and out of place, like a sneaky child who had stolen an adult’s clothes.
When Tang Xiaoyang arrived at the dining room, Mu Xue was already halfway through her meal. She looked incredibly hungry. When she saw Tang Xiaoyang, she asked the butler to serve her food.
Tang Xiaoyang sat on the opposite side of the table, as far away from Mu Xue as possible. The breakfast in front of her looked delicious and was visibly double the portion of Mu Xue’s.
Tang Xiaoyang was speechless. “This is too much…”
Mu Xue said matter-of-factly, “You’re an Alpha, and you’re still growing.”
Tang Xiaoyang: “I’m an Alpha, not a pig. And I’m twenty years old.”
Mu Xue didn’t argue, just gave her a half-smile.
Tang Xiaoyang pouted and said nothing more. She speared a piece of fish and put it in her mouth, muttering stiffly, “I’m a celebrity too. I have to watch my figure.”
In the end, she ate it all.
After breakfast, Mu Xue asked Bai Jing to drive Tang Xiaoyang home, while she sent a message to Zhou Shu.
Thirty minutes later, the travel-weary Omega doctor burst into Mu Xue’s room with an excited look on her face.
“Boss, you’ve finally had s3x??”
Mu Xue: “…”
