Chapter 4: Stop Thinking! I’m so damned, but I don’t want to control myself. …
Normally, it would take Gu Shiying only a second to remove a crew-neck T-shirt, but now he couldn’t even lift his arm.
Gu Shiying boldly opened the bathroom door and stood before Fu Huan, his uninjured arm raised straight up, his injured arm raised to a point where it wouldn’t hurt.
Gu Shiying asked Fu Huan, “Can I take it off like this?”
He didn’t notice anything on Fu Huan’s face, thinking he was just too sensitive.
Fu Huan leaned in and said, “Yes.”
He grabbed the hem of Gu Shiying’s T-shirt with both hands and slowly rolled it up.
Fu Huan: “Let me know if it touches your arm.”
Gu Shiying: “Okay, it’s not touching you now.”
Fu Huan carefully continued to push the shirt up, revealing a small section of his fair, flat belly. His belly button was clearly visible, and the faint outline of his abdominal muscles could be seen.
Gu Shiying’s hands dropped slightly, and Fu Huan reminded him, “I haven’t taken them off to my arms yet. Lift them up first.”
Gu Shiying: “Then hurry up! My arms are getting tired.”
Fu Huan: “Your arm strength is too weak.”
Gu Shiying retorted, “I’m not weak at all, okay? I can actually snatch a knife with my bare hands.”
Fu Huan looked up at him and said, “So you can’t even take off your clothes in the shower, huh?”
Gu Shiying was speechless.
Why hadn’t he noticed Fu Huan’s ambivalence before?
Fu Huan looked at Gu Shiying closely, his eyes fixed on his face, his hands clutching his clothes. He reminded him, “Pull your left hand out first.”
He said one step, and Gu Shiying followed suit.
“Oh.”
“Tilt your head.”
Gu Shiying tilted his head, and Fu Huan slipped the T-shirt over his shoulder.
Fu Huan wasn’t very skilled, but he carefully and smoothly removed Gu Shiying’s T-shirt, piece by piece. Now, only the right arm remained. Gu Shiying held his right hand up for a little while. He tried to remove his clothes quickly, so he bent his elbow and ended up tugging at the wound.
Gu Shiying screamed, “Ouch.”
Fu Huan: “Don’t move.”
Gu Shiying: “My hand’s sore.”
Fu Huan laughed: “It’s sore after just a moment?”
Gu Shiying: “It lost too much bl00d and is now deficient in energy. Don’t blame me.”
Fu Huan held his slowly lowered wrist with one hand, and with the other, he removed the T-shirt through his injured skin.
Gu Shiying’s arm pain didn’t bother him now, because he could hear Fu Huan’s voice, like a barrage of emotions, again!
[Skin so white and smooth.]
[Waist so thin.]
[This makes my mouth water and I want to pinch Gu Shiying’s waist. I’m so damned, but I can’t help it.]
Gu Shiying paused: “…” If you knew you were damned, just shut up!
His ears flushed slightly, and he quickly pulled his wrist out of Fu Huan’s grasp.
“I-I need to shower first. It’s too hot.”
Bang!
Gu Shiying slammed the bathroom door shut as quickly as he could.
Damn it!
Is Fu Huan sick? How can he have such a dirty mind?
Holy sh1t.
No, bro, please let me go. I’m a straight man!
I know guys have those kinds of thoughts about someone they like, but this is too blunt.
I’m just taking off my clothes and showering normally, not like some male streamer on Douyin who’s doing something borderline offensive.
In front of Fu Huan, he felt like a little girl being seen naked. Looking in the bathroom mirror, he saw his flushed face.
Fu Huan knocked on the bathroom door. “Gu Shiying, the doctor said the wound shouldn’t get wet.”
Gu Shiying covered his eyes with one hand, not daring to look at himself in the mirror. He quickly replied, “I know. It won’t get wet.”
Then, there was no sound from outside.
Gu Shiying had overestimated his receptiveness to Fu Huan’s feelings.
At first, he had truly thought Fu Huan was simply having a crush on him, but now that the situation had escalated and Fu Huan’s every word was directed at him, even if he hid his expression well, he still felt like he was being teased by a thug—a thug at that!
He couldn’t openly beat up this thug.
Gu Shiying struggled to keep the water off the wound on his arm, cautiously showered, and then hesitated for a long time before leaving.
This time, he wore a button-down shirt instead of a crew-neck T-shirt. He even wondered if he should add a jacket.
He never imagined that one day, he’d even be worried about his roommate’s attention span!
Every boy knows whether he’s handsome or not, and Gu Shiying considered himself decent-looking. At least, girls had asked for his WeChat ID in high school.
That day had been incredibly eventful.
Gu Shiying quickly fell asleep that night, unaware that Fu Huan had been staring at his bed for a long time after turning off the lights.
The next morning, Gu Shiying found his favorite breakfast, soy milk and fried dough sticks, on his desk.
He glanced around and confirmed that Fu Huan wasn’t in the dorm. He couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Now he was a little afraid of Fu Huan.
Before yesterday, they had only been strangers, but today, it was no longer just a matter of acquaintance. He’d become his lifesaver, and he’d even discovered his secret feelings for him.
He had a headache.
No one had ever told him how to handle this kind of situation.
He decided to keep his distance and keep his distance!
But let’s be honest, this soy milk is so mellow and fragrant. Where did you buy it?
Dejected as he was, Gu Shiying still replied to Fu Huan on WeChat, saying thank you.
He couldn’t help but ask another question.
Gu Shiying: Where did you buy the soy milk?
Fu Huan: I made it myself.
Gu Shiying: [Just bragging.jpg]
We can’t continue this conversation. We need to keep our distance from Fu!
“Ying’er! Where are you hurt?”
Gu Shiying was startled by Zhang Zhi’s loud cry.
“Why are you back? Weren’t you out with your classmates? I just saw your WeChat Moments.”
Zhang Zhi: “That was pre-made. Damn, why is your hand wrapped like a mummy? It’s almost wrapped all the way up your arm.”
Gu Shiying: “It’s okay, just a scratch. No stitches needed.”
Zhang Zhi: “It looks really serious. Why don’t you stay in my dorm for the next two days and I’ll take care of you.”
Gu Shiying sometimes does sleep in their dorm room after playing too late.
He was a bit tempted by the suggestion: “Where are your classmates?”
Zhang Zhi: “Second and third are away this weekend. He’ll sleep in third’s bed, and you’ll sleep in second’s.”
Gu Shiying: “It’s not impossible. It’s just not convenient for me to shower, and I have to apply medicine tonight.”
Zhang Zhi patted his chest: “I’ll apply medicine for you. It’s a piece of cake.”
Gu Shiying: “Aren’t you going out today?”
Zhang Zhi: “Of course. I came to see if you’re okay. If you’re not, I’ll go out and play with my classmates.”
“Okay.” Gu Shiying and Zhang Zhi always talked about everything. They had developed a deep friendship since military training. He suddenly put his left hand on Zhang Zhi’s shoulder. “Old Zhang, I have a question for you.”
Zhang Zhi: “What?” “Something?”
Gu Shiying hesitated for words. “Yeah, I have a friend, and it seems someone has a crush on him.”
Zhang Zhi squinted at him, unconvinced. “Friends usually refer to themselves, right?”
Gu Shiying knew his little trick had been seen through. “That’s not important.”
Zhang Zhi’s eyes widened, and he raised his voice, “You’re bragging to me about having a crush on me. Isn’t that important?”
Gu Shiying: “Yes, yes, I do have a crush on me.”
Zhang Zhi was furious for a moment, then he put aside his fear of his brother suffering and driving a Land Rover. “Who has a crush on you? How do you know they have a crush on you? Do people still have crushes these days? How do you know they have a crush on you?”
Gu Shiying was speechless.
How could he explain that a roommate had a crush on him, and that he had all sorts of messed-up thoughts about him?
If he couldn’t answer, of course he didn’t.
Gu Shiying: “Don’t worry about how I know this. Just think, if you’re constantly hanging out with your crush, how would you keep your distance?”
Zhang Zhi was frustrated. Seeing them every day meant it had to be a girl in our class.
Zhang Zhi: “A girl in our class has a crush on you. Who is she?”
Gu Shiying: “Never mind. How can I tactfully convey that I can’t possibly like her? But I can’t let her know I know she has a crush on me.”
Zhang Zhi: “Your relationship is really complicated. Why are you pushing away something so good?”
Gu Shiying patted him on the shoulder: “Don’t interrupt. Just tell me how to resolve it.”
Zhang Zhi sighed: “Of course, pretend I don’t know and limit contact with her. Do you have a better solution?”
Gu Shiying sighed, his eyes dimming.
Zhang Zhi raised a finger: “There’s another way!”
Gu Shiying’s eyes lit up, and he straightened his back: “What’s that?”
Zhang Zhi: “Just tell them about your crush, intentionally or unintentionally.”
Gu Shiying slammed his left fist on Zhang Zhi’s shoulder: “Good idea!”
Zhang Zhi leaned in front of him with a sly look: “Then tell them who your secret crush is?”
Gu Shiying: “Get lost! Don’t ask.”
Zhang Zhi put his arm around Gu Shiying’s shoulders: “Fvck, just throw it away after you’re done with it, you jerk.”
Just then, the dormitory door opened, and Fu Huan suddenly appeared. He glanced at Zhang Zhi and walked into the room without a word.
Zhang Zhi inexplicably dropped his hand from Gu Shiying. “Ying’er, I’m leaving now. I’ll come back to change your dressing tonight.”
Gu Shiying: “Go ahead.”
Zhang Zhi blew him a kiss as they left. “I’ll bring you some spicy pork knuckle from your favorite place.”
Gu Shiying: “Okay, okay, go now.”
With that, Zhang Zhi left, and the men’s dormitory 504 suddenly fell silent.
Gu Shiying and Fu Huan were still the only ones in the room. The other two roommates, one of whom lived locally and was visiting her aunt for the weekend, wouldn’t be back for the next two days.
Gu Shiying’s hands were a bit uncomfortable, so he decided to rest. He turned on his computer, put on headphones, and started watching a TV series.
Just as he turned on his phone, he received a call from the police station, asking him to go in for a statement.
After he answered, Fu Huan also received a call.
Gu Shiying had a plan in mind: he would deliberately reveal to Fu Huan that he had a girlfriend to dispel his feelings for her.
Going to the police station together was the perfect opportunity.
Gu Shiying smiled and asked Fu Huan, “Fu Huan, do you want to go to the police station with me?”
Fu Huan: “Yes, I’ll give you a ride.”
The police station wasn’t far from the school; they could get there by bike or on foot.
Gu Shiying’s hand was injured and he couldn’t ride a bike. Fu Huan also had a bicycle, but neither had a pillion seat.
Gu Shiying: “Doesn’t your bike have a pillion seat?”
Fu Huan: “It’s someone else’s bike.”
They went downstairs, and Gu Shiying saw the bike Fu Huan had mentioned.
It was a small, white and pink electric scooter.
