This Time, I Am A Mob's Potions Teacher Who Has Become Engaged To The Mastermind Of The Otome Game - 4
As I left the school building and headed toward the student dorms, Mika started getting a little fidgety.
“Mika, are you okay?”
“Thank you for your concern. I was just having a brief conversation with my master.”
He seemed kind of flustered… is he really okay?
I was worried, but even when I asked, Mika just kept insisting, “Please don’t worry about it,” and wouldn’t tell me what had happened.

When I knocked on the dorm room door, Frédéric came out to greet me.
Thank goodness he was in. I couldn’t very well go into the room if no one was home.
“This is his roommate, Monsieur Gerard.”
When I introduced him, Lord Blaise stared shamelessly at Frédéric.
Because of that, Frédéric looked quite uncomfortable.
“Monsieur Gerard, this is Moria’s older brother.”
“…I’m Frédéric Gerard. Pleased to meet you.”
Frédéric greeted him politely, but Lord Blaise just kept staring.
“Professor Bellecour, could you change Dieter’s room?”
he suddenly said.
“What do you mean by that?”
“To put it plainly, this room isn’t good for Dieter. The full moon seems clearly visible from here, which could trigger a magical surge. And more importantly, having an overbearing roommate would only make him feel intimidated. That’s not good for his mental well-being.”
That seriously ticked me off.
Say whatever you want, huh?
What do you even know about Frédéric?!
He’s from a branch family, and to resolve a succession issue, he was basically sold off to the main family by his parents when he was little. Despite being bullied by his stepsister, he’s been working hard to become the head of the family.
But then his younger brother was born, and now he struggles with feeling like he’s just in the way.
I won’t let anyone hurt someone like him.
“Mr. Gerard is a kind-hearted student who always looks out for his classmates.”
“Hard to believe. He looks more like someone who’d threaten people. And he’s not exactly friendly, is he?”
“Don’t make such baseless assumptions!”
Don’t act like you understand everything just from a greeting.
And honestly, isn’t there a line between what’s okay to say and what’s not?
As I glared at Lord Blaise, Frédéric stepped in between us.
“Megane, it’s fine. Please stop.”
“You don’t look fine. And even if you’re okay with it, I’m not. I’m not just going to sit quietly while someone insults a student I care about.”
“Why are you getting so angry… for someone like me?”
Frédéric smiled faintly, his brows softening.
His calm voice helped me regain a bit of composure.
He was right — arguing like this wasn’t good. I could hear other students’ voices from outside the door; it was probably best to take this somewhere else.
Just as that thought crossed my mind, the door burst open with a bang — and Dieter appeared.
With his ash-blond hair giving off a gentle impression, Dieter usually looked calm, but now he was trembling with anger, radiating intensity. His green eyes locked fiercely onto Lord Blaise.
Standing beside Dieter was Noël, wearing a dazzlingly bright smile.
…But something about that smile was terrifying.
“Brother… why are you here…?”
“I wanted to see for myself where you’re living. And I’m glad I did. It must have been awful having such an overbearing roommate, right? I’ll talk to the headmaster and have you moved.”
Lord Blaise’s expression brightened noticeably the moment he looked at Dieter—completely different from how he’d just been acting.
But that didn’t last long.
“Don’t make decisions for me.”
“Dieter?”
“Monsieur Gerard is not an overbearing person.”
“He must’ve pressured you into saying that, didn’t he?”
“No! He’s always been looking out for me—he even kept sending me letters when I shut myself away.”
Dieter’s beautiful face twisted in anger as he glared at Lord Blaise.
“If you tell the headmaster to change my room, I won’t speak to you ever again.”
Lord Blaise was so shocked he collapsed onto the floor.
This man seriously takes being a doting big brother way too far. I was honestly worried he might just faint on the spot.
We really needed to change locations.
Just as I turned to call out to Lord Blaise, a voice rang out from behind me—Noël’s.
“Leticia, so you were with Lord Blaise.”
When I turned around, he was smiling… but with a menacing, dark aura swirling behind him.
“N-Noël… I thought you couldn’t come today?”
“Some things came up. And then I heard your dear brother was visiting, so I came to meet him.”
Apparently, he had rearranged his schedule and came to the academy early with Dieter just to see Lord Blaise.
What on earth happened?
“Coming here made me realize something. We really do need to talk more. I’ve also come to understand that I can’t take my eyes off you—not for a second.”
As he said that, Noël cast a quick glance toward Lord Blaise.
I had no idea what just happened or how things had escalated like this, but I had a bad feeling—like I was about to be even more closely watched.
If I don’t raise my [Affection Level] soon, I get the feeling I’ll be surrounded by watchdogs before I know it.
So funny
