This Time, I Am A Mob's Potions Teacher Who Has Become Engaged To The Mastermind Of The Otome Game - 4
“…Alright. I’ll take just one day off.”
Noel lowered his hand from his brow and took a sip of tea.
“Don’t you think you should rest a little more?”
“If I take Wind Day off, then Sky Day and Moon Day are the weekend. That gives me three days to rest.”
“In that case, good. I’ll submit a request so you can use one of the guest rooms in the staff dormitory.”
The staff dorms, meant for teachers who live on campus, have guest rooms for when family or friends visit.
If I put in the request, Noel should be able to stay there without a problem.
“Just apply for one day.”
“What do you plan to do for the other two?”
“I figured it’s a good chance to visit Professor Roaek. I heard from the fairies that the treant’s been saying I should stop by.”
The fact that he wants to spend his day off visiting someone like that—it really reminds me how important Professor Roaek is to Noel.
Well, of course. He’s someone Noel sees as a true parent.
Maybe when you’re worn out, that’s exactly the kind of person you want to see.
I had assumed Noel would be spending those three days off here, so when he said otherwise, I couldn’t help but feel a little lonely.
“…Alright. Give him my regards, okay?”
As I answered, thinking maybe I’d send a little souvenir along with him, Noel suddenly squeezed my hand tightly.
“Will you come with me?”
“Eh?!”
If I went, wouldn’t I just be intruding?
What do I do…
Maybe he’s just being considerate because I was also one of Professor Roaek’s students?
“Are you sure? If you want to talk with him at your own pace, I think it’s better if I don’t go.”
“I want you to come… because I’d like to introduce you as my fiancée.”
“Fi–fiancée…”
Noel’s words suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks.
I’m used to him calling me his fiancée by now—but this is different. He wants to introduce me as his fiancée to none other than Professor Roaek.
I should explain first.
Professor Roaek is a truly saint-like, wonderful person, someone I absolutely adore. Out of all the teachers I’ve ever had, he’s probably at the top of the list.
…And maybe that’s exactly why.
To meet someone as loving and pure as Professor Roaek while knowing I’m just a contractual fiancée—it makes me feel guilty.
Noel probably won’t mention the contract, but what if Professor Roaek somehow finds out this engagement is loveless? I really don’t want him to know…
“Is there something wrong with being my fiancée?”
“Eeeeeep! N-no, not at all!!”Sensing my hesitation, Noel gave me a smile—with a certain weight behind it.
You don’t have to threaten me like that… I’ll go, okay? I want to see Professor Roaek doing well too, after all.
“In that case, let’s go on Sky Day.”
“Alright.”
“I’m planning for us to stay overnight, so make sure you’re ready.”
“Wait, stay over?! Me too?!”
Spending the night… that means I’ll be with Noel for a whole day.
What… What’s going on here? What’s he planning?
I snuck a glance at his face—and saw him wearing a faintly lifted smirk, with a seductive glint in his eyes.
That’s the face.
The mastermind face.
I’ve seen that exact look on Noel in the game before. It’s the face he makes when he’s clearly up to something behind the scenes—so classic villain energy.
“I believe you were the one who said you’d be watching to make sure I’m resting, yes?”
“I did say that, but…”
I never imagined I’d be tagging along to supervise in person, but hey—this is a great opportunity to raise that affection level, so I’ll go.
“That’s right. I’ll make absolutely sure you’re getting your rest—thoroughly and completely.”
“I don’t know what on earth you’re imagining, but… I’m counting on you.”
Noel looked slightly exasperated, but his voice held a hint of happiness.
We asked one of the fairies to pass along the message to Professor Roaek and the treant, letting them know we’d be visiting.
“‘Okaaay, muffins are fine~’”
“I’ll go buy some.”
The ever-business-minded fairies wouldn’t lift a wing for free, of course. They demanded muffins as payment for the errand, so Noel ended up having to head to the school store to buy them.
