Transmigrated as a Cannon Fodder Alpha in a Scum Alpha Novel (GL) - Chapter 7
Lin Jiyue couldn’t refute a single point.
Fu Suihan took the contract from her. After a night of maintenance, the system no longer glitched. It honestly reviewed the contract and informed her that there were no issues.
While she waited, Lin Jiyue called her assistant and ordered them to bring the document.
After signing, Fu Suihan clasped her hands, rested her chin, and told her, “Wouldn’t it have been better to do this earlier?”
Lin Jiyue endured and endured, but her anger was still piqued by Fu Suihan’s flippant attitude: “What step do you think you can even reach? Singing, dancing, acting—the three fundamental pillars for a celebrity. Which one do you possess?”
Fu Suihan said, “I’m good-looking.”
Lin Jiyue: “…”
“Incorrigible,” Lin Jiyue repeated, staring at her. “Do you really think leaving Xinghui and taking Xinghui’s resources elsewhere will allow you to make a comeback?”
Fu Suihan politely said, “Yes, it’ll be better than Xinghui, no matter what.”
Lin Jiyue could no longer control her emotions. She picked up her coffee and splashed it violently at her.
The Omega’s movement, in the Alpha’s eyes, seemed to slow down by several beats. Fu Suihan retreated a few steps, and the coffee liquid splattered entirely onto the pristine white floor, appearing extremely out of place.
Lin Jiyue still wasn’t satisfied and hurled the folder at her.
Papers scattered across the floor, the page bearing “Fu Suihan” in sharp, forceful strokes was thoroughly soaked. Fu Suihan slightly raised her eyes. Before Lin Jiyue could attempt to ruin a second cup of coffee, she grabbed her hand, effortlessly twisting it behind her back and pinning it on the table.
The cup handle was still clutched in Lin Jiyue’s hand. Fu Suihan’s movements were too swift; Lin Jiyue hadn’t seen a thing. Warm coffee splashed onto her hand, followed by a searing pain in her wrist.
Omegas inherently had low pain tolerance, and Lin Jiyue, being pampered, had never been physically touched. Her eyes immediately reddened: “Let go of me.”
Fu Suihan’s voice, however, was calmer than before: “Ms. Lin, self-awareness is precious. That’s what you told me.”
She lowered her gaze. Lin Jiyue met her eyes, feeling as if she was staring into a deep pool. She finally, belatedly realized that no matter how useless the old Fu Suihan was, she was still an Alpha.
An Alpha who possessed a vast physical difference from an Omega and could mark her at any time.
Lin Jiyue had never been permanently marked by Fu Qingning. If Fu Suihan were to touch her, she would only be able to survive on Fu Suihan’s pheromones in the future.
The thought of such a scenario filled Lin Jiyue with both fear and humiliation. She said with a trembling voice, repeating, “Let go of me, I won’t lay a hand on you again.”
Fu Suihan watched her, and smiled faintly, “Wouldn’t it have been better to do this earlier?”
The same words, but Lin Jiyue no longer had the courage to throw things at her as she did before.
In this dead silence, Lin Jiyue’s special assistant pushed open the door.
Seeing the two women in confrontation, he was momentarily startled. Lin Jiyue’s voice was hoarse, clearly having just cried: “What are you looking at? Give her the documents, and you can leave.”
The assistant carefully handed the documents to Fu Suihan.
Having worked for Lin Jiyue for three years, this was the first time he had seen the young Ms. Lin in such a disheveled state—coffee stains on her clothes, and a red mark around her wrist.
Even more astounding to him was Fu Suihan, who was completely different from the memory of her always looking down, meekly asking about Lin Jiyue’s whereabouts. Her face was beautiful, and she exuded confidence in every gesture, looking completely at ease.
Fu Suihan noticed his prying gaze but didn’t care, focusing on the content before her.
It was called a 3S project, but this folder contained all the projects that Xinghui would heavily invest in, or even wholly fund, within the next year.
With this information, even if Lin Jiyue didn’t let her participate, Fu Suihan could easily leak the news in advance, catching Xinghui off guard. In the end, Lin Jiyue would be the one asking her.
The initiative was back in her hands, but Fu Suihan couldn’t muster much enthusiasm.
She looked at Lin Jiyue, who no longer dared to meet her gaze, and found it rather uninteresting.
With a simple move, one less attention-grabbing villain was gone. What was the point of the world mission then?
The assistant began to personally clean up the scattered papers on the floor. When the door was pushed open again, Fu Suihan thought it was someone else bringing the contract termination papers, but what met her eyes was Song Shixue, being pushed by a vigorous Beta. Trailing behind them was a girl who had delivered coffee to Fu Suihan three times in ten minutes, named Le Yi.
Why would Song Shixue suddenly come?
Fu Suihan was full of questions, but the woman leaning on the wheelchair had no intention of answering her. She swept her beautiful eyes over the mess on the floor, her gaze darkening as she looked at Lin Jiyue: “Ms. Lin, does your company’s contract termination process also include abusing artists?”
Song Shixue had been in a position of power for many years, her aura sharp. Lin Jiyue, already feeling weak, did not reply.
“I told you already, her saying ‘peaceful termination’ is just a wolf wishing the chickens a happy new year.” This time it was Le Yi who spoke. She pouted, utterly disdainful, “Isn’t this how all talent agencies work? They trick people into signing contracts and then extort breach fees. And it’s not enough to trick ordinary people; they have to trick a wife of three years too.”
Her tone was vivid and descriptive. Lin Jiyue’s expression alternated between green and red, even more angered than before.
Fu Suihan’s lips curled into an unconscious smile, but Song Shixue looked directly at her: “Come here.”
Who she was calling was obvious. Fu Suihan wasn’t stupid; she naturally understood that the trio’s arrival was to support her, and most likely, Le Yi had complained, prompting Song Shixue to rush over.
A warm current flowed through her heart as she slowly walked closer.
Song Shixue’s hand suddenly patted hers. Fu Suihan thought she had something to say and leaned over slightly. However, the woman’s slender fingers glided from her neck to her hair, then gently ruffled it.
Seconds later, Fu Suihan realized this seemed to be a “pat on the head” gesture.
Le Yi gave her a “wow” sound and scampered off with a giggle. Fu Suihan could only look at the Beta—although there was still no assistant today, at least Song Shixue was no longer “stranded” alone.
The Beta met her gaze, but didn’t understand its meaning. Connecting it to last night, he consciously yielded his position to her.
Fu Suihan, inexplicably pushing the wheelchair again: ?
“There’s no need for your esteemed company to print another termination contract,” the Beta took a document from his bag and said gently. “Ms. Fu’s breach penalty will be fully paid by Ms. Song Shixue’s studio.”
Lin Jiyue finally looked up, astonished: “Studio?”
“Yes,” the Beta said proudly. “Universal has set up a dedicated personal studio for Ms. Song Shixue. Ms. Fu Suihan has limitless potential and is truly a rising star. After a unanimous decision by everyone in the studio, we will sign her as our second artist.”
Universal Entertainment firmly held the second position globally, and Song Shixue was its hottest artist. It was not surprising for them to establish a separate studio for her.
But Lin Jiyue had never imagined that Song Shixue would suddenly stand up for Fu Suihan and sign her.
Clearly… last night was their first meeting.
Why?
Lin Jiyue wanted to press for more answers, but Fu Suihan had already snapped out of her daze and looked directly at her.
Lin Jiyue’s palms were still soft. She lowered her gaze, then felt Song Shixue’s death glare.
Seconds later, she conceded, “I have already discussed it with her. It’s a peaceful termination, no compensation needed.”
The Beta’s expression remained unchanged: “It’s safer for all of us to follow the contract.”
In the deadlocked atmosphere, the lawyer arrived belatedly.
Fu Suihan naturally felt awkward making Song Shixue wait for her, but Song Shixue said, “It’s fine to take it back and look at it.”
“Back”? Lin Jiyue caught the keyword, her expression even harder to read.
After the group left, she stared silently at the sunflower for a long time, then raised her hand and knocked it to the ground.
Xinghui had too many gossips. It wasn’t until they reached the underground parking garage that Fu Suihan quietly asked, “Why did you come?”
“I was afraid she’d eat you alive, bones and all,” Song Shixue glanced at the Beta, her voice casual. “Lin Jiyue tried to splash coffee on you?”
The Beta consciously got into the car, even closing the partition to block out sound.
Fu Suihan watched his series of actions, hesitated for a moment, then nodded and shook her head: “To be precise, it was an attempt.”
Song Shixue said, “Next time, just splash it back. Don’t be soft-hearted.”
Fu Suihan instinctively agreed, then the next second she remembered, what is this? Is she teaching me how to offend people, trying to list me within her protection?
She then remembered the “studio” the Beta mentioned earlier.
The studio did exist in the original novel, but it had only ever contained Song Shixue herself. Fu Suihan thought it was just a verbal joke. Now, connecting it to Song Shixue’s words, her thoughts couldn’t help but drift.
Fu Suihan was a very enduring person. When she lowered her eyes and suppressed her expression, no one could read her.
But Song Shixue merely chuckled softly, neither asking nor thinking. She just looked at Fu Suihan, decisively starting a new draft and rewriting Fu Suihan’s thoughts.
“Didn’t you say last night you’d carry me into the car?” Song Shixue’s eyelashes trembled slightly, her voice unwavering. “Does it still count today?”
Fu Suihan paused: “…If you need me to.”
It was an instinctive reply, and Fu Suihan’s honest thought. It was a small favor, and she had no reason to refuse.
But Fu Suihan hadn’t expected Song Shixue to genuinely open her arms so casually.
When a woman opens her arms to you, she wants you to hold her.
Fu Suihan grasped the truth and consciously bent down. Song Shixue smoothly wrapped her arms around Fu Suihan’s neck, as if they had rehearsed countless times before, incredibly natural.
Today, Song Shixue’s scent was no longer peach. It was replaced by a very cold cedarwood perfume, which perfectly matched Song Shixue’s demeanor. However, secretly, Fu Suihan still preferred the sweet peach.
But after the “courting” incident, Fu Suihan no longer dared to casually compliment scents, to avoid falling into various unknown pitfalls.
Song Shixue seemed to have come directly to Xinghui after finishing filming. She was still in her long dress, her makeup exquisite. Fu Suihan forced herself not to look at her. Her palm touched Song Shixue’s thigh. As she exerted strength in her arms to lift her, her left hand unexpectedly touched a protrusion on the back of Song Shixue’s neck.
Even through the inhibitor patch, Song Shixue still felt a shiver rise from her tailbone. She said nothing, only tightened her arm around Fu Suihan’s neck.
…Fu Suihan looked at the back of her neck.
That was an Omega’s gland.
