Transmigrated as the Disabled Alpha of the Yandere Film Empress - Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Song Yanrong looked at the black dog, her eyes slightly narrowed. Under her cold gaze, the fierce dog whimpered and obediently lay down.
“Are you going to deal with this dog yourself, or should I help you?”
Su Hui-min was also startled by the pressure in her voice. She was only a D-class omega—how could she possibly withstand Song Yanrong’s intimidating stare? Her legs trembled as she hurriedly went inside to fetch an iron chain and fastened it around the dog’s neck.
Then, she led them inside.
The narrow courtyard had a pot of nearly dead roses. Yellowing weeds sprouted around the place, clutter was everywhere, and a woven tray on the rack still held a few blackened pumpkin seeds—who knew how long they’d been sitting there?
Song Yanrong found it hard to imagine Su Jia had lived in this dump for so many years.
Inside, the stifling air was thick with a sour stench and an indescribable odor.
“Jiajia, seeing how well you’re doing in the Song family, I thought you were going to marry their eldest daughter…” Su Hui-min glanced at Song Yanrong’s expression, chuckled awkwardly, and quickly corrected herself, “Didn’t expect you and the Third Miss to have this kind of fate. Not bad, not bad at all.”
Hearing those saccharine words, Su Jia’s eyes fell on the black dog chained in the corner of the courtyard. Her fingertip curled slightly inward, but in the blink of an eye, the darkness in her gaze vanished again.
Su Jia said coldly, “I came to get the things I left with you.”
Su Hui-min kept up her act. “What things?”
Song Yanrong had no interest in staying longer, especially not to watch this woman’s performance. According to her memory, Su Jia had lived with Su Hui-min starting at age fourteen, back when they still lived in a villa in the city. But within two years, they’d moved to this rundown place.
Su Jia’s inheritance had been squandered completely. Later, when the Song family came to take her back, they were even blackmailed for money.
In the end, Su Jia had basically been sold off to the Songs.
Seeing Su Jia’s frightened reaction to the dog earlier, and now this filthy house, Song Yanrong could easily imagine how Su Hui-min had treated her niece all those years.
“Name your price,” Song Yanrong said coolly.
Su Hui-min’s eyes lit up. “Oh, now I remember! You’re talking about her ID and household registration, right? Miss Song, you know it wasn’t easy for me to raise this child… 100,000, not too much, right?”
Song Yanrong replied, “Fine.”
Su Hui-min, surprised by her quick agreement, coughed and added, “Actually, that was 100,000 per item. I’ve got her ID, her household registration, and a few keepsakes her mother left behind. They’re all very precious. I’ve kept them out of sentimentality, really. It’s hard to let them go.”
Song Yanrong’s long phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, the fringe of her lashes casting a shadow over her dark brown irises, like mist. Though elegant, there was a chill in her poise.
Su Jia said, “I only want the ID and household registration. I don’t need the rest.”
Su Hui-min’s smile visibly faded. She glanced resentfully at Su Jia. “Living the rich life, and you forget your own mother? Not even taking her keepsakes? Your mother used to tell me how filial you were…”
“200,000,” Song Yanrong interrupted, her voice sharp with disdain. “Bring the things out.”
Faced with her, Su Hui-min instantly changed her tone to one of meekness. “Miss Song, don’t you think 200,000 is a bit low? You’re from such a wealthy family—dropping a little from your fingertips would already be more than that.”
Song Yanrong let out a cold laugh. “So, you’re trying to blackmail me now?”
In her wheelchair, her dark brown pupils were as deep as the sea and as sharp as blades.
Su Hui-min felt her bl00d turn cold. She’d heard rumors of what kind of person Song Yanrong was—even she couldn’t be that ignorant. Alone now, she was definitely scared.
She hesitated and said, “Miss Song, no need to say that… 200,000 it is. But the stuff isn’t here. I sent it back to my hometown not long ago.”
“If you give me two days, I’ll go get it and let you know—or I can even send it to you myself,” she smiled. “How’s that sound?”
Song Yanrong glanced at Su Jia, who gave no objection.
“I’ll give you two days.”
“Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”
The sky outside was thick with clouds, about to pour down rain.
Inside, the smell was suffocating. As they reached the car, Song Yanrong caught Su Jia’s cold, gloomy expression reflected in the car’s window.
She asked, “Want to deal with her?”
Su Jia looked up, silent.
In the car, the scent of the air freshener and the chill from the AC slowly pressed down the heat and bitterness clinging to their skin.
Song Yanrong looked up. “Check how much debt Su Hui-min has out there—and who she owes.”
No need to dirty their own hands.
Little K responded, “Understood.”
After giving the order, Su Jia asked, “You’re not really planning to give her that 200,000, are you?”
Song Yanrong smiled. “Why would you say that?”
Su Jia glanced at her calm face. A faint scent of rosemary carried on the AC draft touched her nose. The heaviness in her chest finally eased a bit.
Her lips parted gently. “Because you agreed too easily.”
Song Yanrong might be rich, but after a few days together, Su Jia knew this woman wasn’t someone without a temper—sometimes she could be quite aggressive. You could tell just by how boldly she brought Su Jia back to the Song house.
Facing a blackmailer like Su Hui-min, she wouldn’t give in so easily.
There was a gleam of admiration in Song Yanrong’s eyes. “Very clever.”
She hadn’t realized how soft those words sounded at that moment.
“I promised 200,000,” Song Yanrong added, “but I never said when I’d give it, how many installments, or how much each time.”
One yuan per year, over 200,000 years, would still be the full amount.
If Su Hui-min could live that long, of course.
Su Jia looked over. Song Yanrong’s lips curled slightly, the aura around her strong and distinct from her gentle smile.
Su Jia said, “Miss Song, you truly live up to your legacy as a businesswoman’s heir.”
Song Yanrong accepted the teasing compliment, propping her hand on the armrest. Her body leaned slightly as she said in a low voice, “That’s why, don’t forget—whatever you do in the future, always sign a contract first.”
She once said, no matter how beautiful someone’s promises sound, nothing beats a piece of paper.
The faint, tempting rosemary scent wafted once again. Su Jia’s glands tightened involuntarily, and she felt a trace of excitement.
She suddenly found herself wondering—what would Song Yanrong be like, covered in sweat and lost in desire in bed? What about when she was begging to mark her—what kind of fire would burn in her then?
It must be… captivating.
Her gaze slowly shifted from Song Yanrong’s eyes to her dry lips. “Got it,” she said.
Her eyes were far from restrained. Song Yanrong, feeling the intensity, licked her lips slightly, her heart tickled with a sudden itch.
“Miss, should we head straight home?” Little K suddenly asked.
Song Yanrong looked away. “No. Take us to the shopping center.”
Su Jia turned to look out the window. Her delicate, almond-shaped eyes narrowed slightly as the rows of trees along the silent streets passed by.
Her heart, barren like a wasteland, now sprouted a trace of joy.
She could tell—Song Yanrong was trying to make her happy.
The car headed toward the city center.
Back at the small, filthy courtyard, neither of them knew that Su Hui-min was sitting on a low wooden stool. She took out her phone and dialed a number.
“Hello, Miss Zhou? It’s me, Su Hui-min—Su Jia’s aunt. Yes, yes, that’s right.”
Su Hui-min shoved a bowl of sour, spoiled rice in front of the black dog and said sweetly, “Didn’t you say I should let you know if there was any news about Su Jia?”
“She just came back. With that Song lady.”
The woman on the other end sounded annoyed. “Which Song lady?”
Su Hui-min: “The crippled one.”
The woman grew angry. Su Hui-min quickly changed her tone: “Oh no! My mistake! Please don’t get mad. I meant the Third Miss Song.”
…
“They offered me 600,000, and I didn’t even budge. Just wanted to report it to you right away.”
“I’ll wait for your instructions.” Su Hui-min added with a fake smile, “And the money you promised… right, I’ll be waiting.”
After hanging up, she spat on the ground. “Little b1tch. Trying to cut me off with 200,000? Dream on.”
Whoever offers more money—she’ll go with them.
…
The shopping mall in the city center was South City’s most famous luxury hub, home to many designer brands.
Checking the directory, they headed straight to the fifth floor: clothing.
Song Yanrong sat in her wheelchair, her features clean and elegant, dressed from head to toe in high-end fashion, her presence noble and poised. Su Jia, with just her face, drew attention like a spotlight.
The two of them entering together immediately attracted countless eyes.
Some even began taking photos discreetly.
Su Jia asked, “Being stared at like this—does it make you uncomfortable?”
Song Yanrong was eyeing a black qipao hanging outside a wardrobe. For some reason, she thought it would look perfect on Su Jia. She snapped back to attention. “It’s fine.”
“So is it good or bad?”
“What about you, Miss Su?”
Behind her, Su Jia curved her lips, voice soft and sweet. “I asked first.”
Song Yanrong gestured to the qipao shop and said, “Hard to say if it’s good or bad. I can tolerate it, at least right now—I don’t feel uncomfortable.”
She paused. “Or does walking with me make you uncomfortable, Miss Su?”
Throwing the question back.
They entered the store. The scent of rose perfume filled the air, fresh and strong—but to Song Yanrong, still not as pleasant as Su Jia’s natural scent.
Suddenly, her shoulder dipped slightly under a warm breath.
Su Jia leaned down, her voice brushing her ear like a spring breeze. “It’s comfortable.”
