Transmigrated as the Disabled Alpha of the Yandere Film Empress - Chapter 18
Chapter 18
A black Porsche pulled up outside a run-down, old house.
The damp, hot wind whipped by in waves. As soon as they stepped out of the car, a stifling heat clung to them. Above, the clouds drifted rapidly southward with the wind. Sun Jia looked up — the clouds moved, and the sun burst through without warning, casting a sharp glare.
Inside the house, dogs barked incessantly.
Sun Jia squinted under the blinding sunlight, feeling a little irritated and restless.
Xiao K went to knock on the door, and Sun Jia followed closely behind her.
Soon, just like yesterday, Su Huimin’s voice rang out: “Coming, coming!”
Su Huimin stood at the doorway, smiling. “Come in quickly.”
No one suspected a thing. The moment Sun Jia stepped one foot inside, Xiao K suddenly sensed something was wrong and shouted, “Miss Sun, run!”
But it was too late. The other side moved too fast — Sun Jia was yanked inside instantly.
Xiao K kicked the door open and swung two punches at the two people near the front. Just as she was about to reach Sun Jia, someone struck her from behind…
With a thud, Sun Jia crashed to the floor. A sharp pain flared through her body.
The barking of dogs, scattered at first, suddenly grew more intense and concentrated. She looked up and saw Zhou Yuan slowly walking out from inside the house, holding the leashes of two snarling wolfdogs.
The bl00d in Sun Jia’s body seemed to freeze instantly.
…
The phone kept buzzing with incoming calls.
Song Yanrong ignored them all. She opened WeChat again — still no reply from Xiao K. She had already called once before, but no one had picked up.
Now on her second attempt, the automated “powered off” message played again through the receiver. Her heart sank lower and lower.
That seemed to confirm her worst fear — the uneasy feeling that had been gnawing at her.
Half an hour ago, Song Yanrong had returned to the Song residence and spoken with Ying Junmei for about ten minutes.
They talked about Sun Jia.
Ying Junmei had said:
“Your life shouldn’t revolve around just one omega. Yanrong, you’re the daughter of the Song family. It’s fine to play around, but if it’s about marriage, you need to consider the bigger picture.”
It was that line that made Song Yanrong realize something was off. She remembered Ying Junmei had called before she left home that day —
“Have you left yet? It’s okay, come home by yourself.”
But in truth, at that moment she hadn’t left yet. She had been sitting with Sun Jia in the living room.
Just two minutes later, Sun Jia received a call from Su Huimin — asking her to come pick up her ID…
Back then, at the Song residence, Song Yanrong had already messaged Xiao K — but like a stone sinking into the sea, there was no reply.
“They went after Sun Jia, didn’t they?”
Caught off guard by the question, Ying Junmei’s expression shifted for just a second. Then she spoke again in her usual dignified tone:
“Yanrong, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Song Yanrong let out a cold laugh. She understood.
She turned to leave, and as Ying Junmei scolded her for being reckless, Song Yanrong looked back, her voice cold as steel:
“You’d better pray it’s not what I think. Otherwise, I’m more than capable of being ‘reckless’ in ways you won’t like.”
She ordered the driver to speed up. It was still a full forty minutes to Su Huimin’s house.
She found Zhou Yuan’s number in her contacts. Just as she was about to dial it, Zhou Yuan’s name popped up on her screen.
It was a photo message.
Song Yanrong opened it, and the warmth in her body vanished in an instant. Her hand froze mid-air.
In the photo —
Sun Jia’s face was deathly pale, her eyes filled with terror.
She was cornered against a wall, with two savage wolfdogs looming over her…
Song Yanrong clenched her fists slowly.
…
It was nearly 5 PM in the north side of the city — still bright under the lingering light of summer. The sky had finally settled into a mesmerizing hue of orange-gold.
Zhou Yuan sat on a hard wooden bench, just barely able to see the clouds outside the wall stained crimson by the setting sun.
She lowered her gaze, then looked coldly at Sun Jia in the corner.
“Tell me, do you think your bl00d can be as red as that sky?”
Sun Jia coughed, eyes locked on the wolfdogs in front of her. They were much bigger than the black dog from before, their mouths dripping with saliva, snarling with ferocity — disgusting.
Suddenly, long-buried memories surfaced.
Years ago, Su Huimin had been chased home by debt collectors. The very next day, she showed up with a huge black dog — no one knew where she got it.
One afternoon, Sun Jia had come home from school, unaware of the danger. The dog hadn’t been leashed, and it lunged at her, biting her thigh.
Su Huimin hadn’t cared at all. She told her to rinse it off with water and wrap it with a cloth.
Sun Jia had protested, saying she could get rabies. Su Huimin had sneered:
“So what if you die? Annoying brat. You think vaccines are free?”
A neighbor lady who couldn’t stand to watch eventually took Sun Jia to get vaccinated.
She had started having nightmares because of that dog’s barking. Every time she disobeyed or delayed dinner by doing homework, Su Huimin would tie the dog outside her window to scare her.
Sometimes, she would even tie it inside the room.
Sun Jia would cry and beg. When she was too tired to cry, she’d call out for her mother.
That only made Su Huimin crueler:
“Why are you yelling? You want the neighbors to think I abuse you?”
That was when her fear of dogs took deep root.
She developed the habit of staring out the window — always alert, always on edge. As if at any moment, she could hear the vicious barking again.
As if the dog would leap through the shadows to tear her apart.
It wasn’t until the Song family started inquiring about her that Su Huimin’s attitude changed slightly. But only to the extent of no longer using the dog to frighten her.
Back then, she could only cry silently, trying to muffle her sobs with trembling hands.
Ignorant. Helpless. Pathetic beyond belief.
But now — she wasn’t that girl anymore.
Sun Jia slowly raised her head. The fear in her eyes churned like a violent storm, swallowing the last sliver of light. All that remained was a heavy, oppressive shadow.
In the corner’s darkness, she let out a low laugh. It was hauntingly beautiful — decadent, dangerous, almost otherworldly.
“You want to see if my bl00d can match the sky?”
“Go ahead and try.”
