Transmigrated as the Scum Alpha in a Farming Novel (GL) - Chapter 1
Yu An had stayed up all night reading a novel, only to fall asleep during the school sports day the next morning.
If the novel had been good, it would have been worth it, but halfway through, she realized it was a complete bait-and-switch, and the protagonist even shared her name.
Initially, Yu An was drawn to the “farming” aspect of this ancient Lily ABO farming novel. However, after reading half of it, she discovered that it was “farming” my foot; this was clearly an erotic novel.
And it was the kind with one protagonist and multiple supporting characters.
She liked the character design of the second female lead, but the second female lead appeared even less often than the third and fourth. Once Yu An finally understood what kind of novel this was, she decisively abandoned it.
She abandoned the novel at 2 AM. After only four hours of sleep, Yu An was woken up by her roommate.
She had several events scheduled for the school sports day: 100 meters, long jump, and the 4×100-meter relay. Her results were all quite good in the morning. After lunch, she was just about to grab a quick nap when a classmate woke her up.
“Did you go thieving last night? It’s almost our turn to compete.”
Yu An, still bleary-eyed, reluctantly mumbled, “Got it.”
With that, Yu An closed her eyes again. Her classmate, seeing her dozing off, sat beside her and nudged her twice.
“Why are you still sleeping? The competition starts in half an hour, we need to go now…”
Seeing no reaction from Yu An, the female classmate asked with concern, “Yu An, are you feeling unwell?”
Yu An sat back in her chair with her arms crossed. She could hear her classmate calling her, but it was as if she was in a nightmare, unable to do anything.
The female classmate’s voice and the sounds of the competition venue faded further and further away, while the voices of various men and women grew closer and noisier.
“Isn’t that the Qian Yuan from the Yu family?”
“Yes, I heard she lost another gamble. She must have been dealt with.”
“Tsk, tsk, she usually does all sorts of bad things. It serves her right to be taught a lesson!”
Does all sorts of bad things? Taught a lesson?
Who? Her?
Besides these voices of discussion, Yu An also heard a weeping female voice. The voice was very close to her, and it was shaking her body: “Sister Yu, what’s wrong with you? Waaah…”
Yu An struggled to open her eyes. The first thing she saw was a girl of fifteen or sixteen, kneeling beside her in a pink ruqun dress with a high waist, crying so hard her face was streaked with tears.
Many people were gathered around, men and women pointing fingers at the two of them.
When the girl saw her wake up, she instantly broke into a smile, her voice soft and innocent: “Sister Yu, you’re finally awake…”
But before she could finish, Yu An heard footsteps from behind the crowd, sounding like about five or six people.
The crowd parted, and Yu An saw a man at the forefront, shouting in a rough voice, “Where’s Yu An???”
Yu An and the man’s eyes met, and she froze for a moment. The girl beside her anxiously pushed her, saying, “Sister Yu, run!”
Given the current situation, Yu An was truly bewildered.
She had just been sleeping, so how did she wake up lying by a river?
The current circumstances didn’t allow her to ponder too much. She scrambled to her feet and started running in the opposite direction of the crowd.
In terms of speed, Yu An, a short-distance running expert, was not easily outrun, especially since she had a head start.
But the clothes she was wearing really slowed her down.
Not only were the people in the crowd wearing strange clothes, but she herself was also dressed in peculiar attire.
If it weren’t for the extra restriction when she started running, she wouldn’t have even realized her clothes had changed. She looked down to see she was wearing a dark red round-collared robe with embroidery.
Yu An ran ahead, with people chasing behind. As she passed the crowd, the man who had been at the forefront grabbed the weeping girl who was kneeling beside Yu An and reprimanded her loudly: “Disgraceful! Get home now!”
With a flick, the girl was flung to the ground, crying even more heartbrokenly than before.
Yu An, however, had no time to worry about any of this. She ran from the river all the way into the village. The labyrinth of alleys made her dizzy, so she picked a random fork in the road and continued to run.
She ran while thinking about her current situation.
After thinking for a while…
She couldn’t figure it out; it was better to keep running first.
Because she wasn’t familiar with the roads, Yu An kept circling the village. She ran fast, but she couldn’t outrun the large number of people chasing her, and also… everyone knew her.
“Isn’t that Yu An? Has she been beaten again?”
“I don’t think so. Didn’t you see the village head chasing her just now?”
Yu An ran past, heard their discussion, and then stopped and went back: “Who did you say was chasing me?”
Perhaps recalling Yu An’s infamous reputation, the man and woman who were discussing her smiled at her and ran into their homes, closing their doors so quickly that Yu An was dumbfounded.
There was no road ahead, so Yu An turned to find another way to run, but she ran straight into the group of people who had been chasing her.
Combining the previous conversation, the man at the forefront must be… the village head?
This familiar yet unfamiliar title.
Unfamiliar because Yu An, living in the 21st century, had heard of village chiefs, town chiefs, and township chiefs, but never a “li zhang” (village head in some historical contexts).
Familiar because the novel she read yesterday… mentioned the village head multiple times.
Combining what she heard about Qian Yuan and the village head after waking up…
Yu An suspected she had most likely transmigrated into the book.
She raised her hand to shield herself and said calmly, “This… village head, can we have a calm discussion, please?”
The village head was taken aback by her action and forgot to reply.
Yu An, seeing this, continued, “I’m afraid there might be some misunderstanding between us…”
“Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding could there be? I’d recognize you even if you turned to ash!” This statement clearly provoked the village head in front of her. He puffed out his mustache and glared, his fierce gaze looking as if he wanted to devour her.
“Yu An, you run to my house every three days! Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to!” Saying this, the village head took two steps forward, and the people behind him followed suit.
Looking at the situation, no matter what she said today, she wouldn’t escape a beating.
Besides running, Yu An couldn’t think of any other solution.
She pushed off the ground, ready to run, but people surrounded her from all directions, blocking her off.
They were all villagers. Although they didn’t intend to beat her, they were clearly disgusted. With so many people standing there, Yu An couldn’t run even if she wanted to.
Whispers spread through the crowd: “Look at the Yu family’s Qian Yuan. Dressed like a proper person, but every day she’s either visiting brothels, bullying young wives, or flirting with young widows.”
“Oh, and those unmarried Kun Ze young ladies, like the village head’s daughter.”
The murmurs entered Yu An’s ears, dispelling any lingering doubt. She had truly transmigrated into the scum Alpha of that erotic novel from last night.
Yu An had no words to refute. Although she hadn’t done those things, she was now that scum!
Just as she was about to be drowned by the villagers’ spitting criticisms, the crowd suddenly parted, and a woman in a white ruqun dress slowly walked towards her.
Yu An was mesmerized. Before she knew it, she was pressed to the ground by one of the village head’s subordinates. She didn’t struggle, her eyes gazing adoringly at the approaching woman.
The fabric of the white ruqun was not high quality, but the woman’s skin was fair and rosy, and her eyes were clear and captivating, though her expression was somewhat indifferent.
Yu An was so enchanted by this beauty that she didn’t notice these details, only feeling that the woman’s words were gentle.
“Uncle Cao, what has my Qian Jun done wrong? Why such a commotion?”
