Transmigrated as the Scumbag Alpha of a Cold Movie Queen - Chapter 4
The morning sunlight filtered in through the cracks of the curtains, casting a soft golden glow across the room.
Gu Qing slowly opened her eyes, still dazed. She glanced at the clock on the wall—8 a.m.
Earlier than yesterday.
As she turned her head slightly, she was startled by the close-up view of Qi Siyu’s sleeping face, her heart skipping a beat.
Objectively speaking, Qi Siyu was beautiful—striking features, alluring and refined. In public, she wore a gentle and courteous mask, and with her status as a wealthy heiress and company president, she was the dream Alpha of many Omegas.
But who would’ve guessed she was actually a selfish, manipulative monster?
A flash of disgust crossed Gu Qing’s eyes. She moved her fingers, only to feel resistance.
Looking down, she saw her hand completely wrapped in Qi Siyu’s.
Since waking up in this world, Qi Siyu had seemed particularly obsessed with her hand. Gu Qing couldn’t help but fall into thought.
She gathered her strength and tried to pull her hand back.
Qi Siyu was a light sleeper. Even though Gu Qing moved only slightly, it was enough to rouse her.
Last night, the IV drip didn’t finish until around 11 p.m. Qi Siyu had happily set up a foldable bed nearby, planning to sleep while accumulating lottery draws from the system.
But at 1 a.m., Gu Qing spiked a fever, nearly scaring her out of her skin.
The doctor on duty had recommended physical cooling. Qi Siyu and the nurse spent over two hours trying to bring her temperature down.
Now, half-awake, Qi Siyu instinctively raised her head, eyes still half-lidded, and pressed her forehead to Gu Qing’s.
“Mmm… It’s down. No more fever,” she mumbled.
Gu Qing’s breath caught. She stared wide-eyed, frozen, even as Qi Siyu laid back down. She hadn’t fully processed what had just happened.
Forehead-to-forehead temperature checks? She had never experienced anything like that herself, only seen it. When Gu Yaozong was ill, Yao Chunhua often did that to him.
Gu Qing’s eyes drooped slightly.
What exactly is Qi Siyu playing at?
She gave up trying to pull her hand away.
Lying back down, Qi Siyu groggily recalled—had Gu Qing’s eyes been open just now?
Turning slightly, she was met with a pair of gray, foggy eyes—like misty frost.
Instantly wide awake.
Powerful stimulant. Nothing wakes you faster. Qi Siyu didn’t dare move again.
Six minutes left until the full hour passed—she couldn’t risk messing it up now.
“Water,” Gu Qing said suddenly.
“Yes! Right away!” Qi Siyu immediately chose to please Gu Qing over racking up more draw chances.
Glancing at the straw box by the water dispenser, she sneakily stuffed it behind a tea tin, then returned to Gu Qing’s side with a cup of warm water and a spoon.
She gave a dazzling smile, imitating the posture of a professional caregiver, and held a half-filled spoon to Gu Qing’s lips.
“Water delivery~”
Gu Qing paused, momentarily caught off guard by the bright dimples in Qi Siyu’s smile. For a split second, she really did look like a sweet and enthusiastic girl.
As Gu Qing swallowed the water, Qi Siyu’s heart soared.
Just one day in, and she had already made significant progress.
This spoonful of water was a milestone!
After Gu Qing had enough, Qi Siyu raised her head and gulped down the remaining water with a satisfied glug glug.
Then her eyes fell to Gu Qing’s hand, itching to reach for it again.
With six lottery chances banked from last night, plus one from the temporary mark, she only needed three more to complete a ten-draw pull.
Just a few more hours—she could finish by noon.
Qi Siyu was brimming with confidence. This time, she planned to draw medicine to heal Gu Qing’s injured leg.
Illness and injury were just too painful. Seeing Gu Qing feverish and suffering last night had worn her out and left her heart aching.
If it hadn’t been for the original host, Gu Qing would be filming on set right now, chasing bigger achievements.
As she reached for Gu Qing’s hand again, Gu Qing spoke up:
“Go get the doctor.”
Qi Siyu retracted her hand immediately. “Are you feeling unwell?” she asked with concern.
Gu Qing stared at her coldly, clearly unwilling to explain.
Tch. That attitude switched fast. Though honestly, she hadn’t been all that friendly even while being spoon-fed.
Qi Siyu didn’t argue with a sick person. She quickly pressed the call button for the doctor.
When the doctor arrived, she examined Gu Qing carefully. “Your temperature is normal. Where does it hurt?”
“My hand,” Gu Qing said calmly. Despite claiming pain, her expression was completely composed.
The doctor instantly tensed.
She’d seen firsthand how high Gu Qing’s pain tolerance was—always stoic, never once saying something hurt.
For her to speak up now meant something had to be seriously wrong.
Qi Siyu also looked at Gu Qing’s hand with worry. Her long fingers were like sculpted jade, but the back of her hand was swollen and bruised, covered with puncture marks from IVs.
After three full checks, the doctor couldn’t find any major issues. She suspected her nerves were hypersensitive due to the medication.
“We’ll start with a cold compress to reduce the swelling. If the pain persists, we’ll switch the IV to another site today,” she said cautiously.
“Got it!” Qi Siyu nodded quickly.
When the nurse brought over the cold compress gel, Qi Siyu carefully spread a thin layer over the back of Gu Qing’s hand.
Even the corners had to be smoothed out evenly.
Gu Qing watched like an outsider as Qi Siyu frowned in concentration, her eyes serious—like she was performing some delicate, high-stakes task.
“All done. Too cold?” Qi Siyu looked up and met Gu Qing’s eyes.
“No.” Gu Qing closed her eyes, finding this new Qi Siyu jarringly unfamiliar. She decided she’d rather not look.
“I think it’s a bit cold,” Qi Siyu said to herself, feigning deep scientific insight. “Let me warm your hand—heat always flows from high to low temperature.”
Like a slippery eel, she slid her hand under Gu Qing’s palm, gently supporting it.
Perfect. Five stars for her brilliance.
Now, she just had to wait out the rest of the time.
By midday, Qi Siyu had finally accumulated ten lottery draws. She handed Gu Qing off to the caregiver and slipped into the bathroom.
Gu Qing glanced at the closed door and looked away.
Inside, Qi Siyu stared at the running water, as if begging it to wash away her misfortune.
System, I want to specify the item this time. I need medicine to heal Gu Qing’s broken leg.
【Received. Item locked. Host, you may now draw.】
Qi Siyu solemnly tapped the “Draw” button on the interface.
A few seconds later, light burst from the screen, and familiar icons floated above the treasure chest.
Ten-draw result: Eight packs of wet wipes.
Qi Siyu: 🙂 (smiling on the outside, dead inside)
System, be honest—were you originally a wet wipe factory’s mascot?
Even the system was stunned. Could there be a bug?
After a thorough self-check: no issues. Just a very unlucky host.
Qi “perma-unlucky” Siyu wasn’t surprised. She was mostly venting.
She turned her attention to the last two icons—both short, squat jars, one green, one gray.
Opening the green one revealed a transparent green ointment: the leg-healing medicine she had asked for, plainly named Limb-Regrowth Salve.
Apply it to the injured leg for seven consecutive days, and the broken area would completely heal—no scars left behind.
Qi Siyu sucked in a breath.
How was she going to apply this to Gu Qing for seven straight days without getting thrown out?
If she just said, This salve is amazing, it’ll heal your leg, Gu Qing would probably think she was trying to poison her—or that she’d gone mad.
The only way was to let Gu Qing experience the ointment’s effects herself. Then, she might start accepting the system’s “mysterious items” directly.
Qi Siyu wasn’t planning to hide the magical nature of the items she could produce. Whether or not to reveal the existence of the system, though—that was a decision for later.
For now, the only option was to secretly apply the ointment at night.
